My favorite muffin is a dessert/pastry shop located off Shelbyville road I. Lousiville Kentucky that specializes in as the name suggest muffins. Recently my wife and her half brother stopped by this shop and bought a massive assorted box of mini muffins to have at there/our family Christmas Eve party in 2021. The muffins had a nice large variety of flavors and packed really good flavor on the few that I tried. My personal favorites I tried were the chocolate and Hanna but muffins. Two of my favorite flavors anyways. So hard for me to not enjoy anyways. Our family and the kids especially enjoyed snacking on them mini muffins throughout the night. So they made for a tasty and unwise holiday snack. Something we will have to keep in mind for future parties or get togethers.

After passing by My Favorite Muffin every day for several years, I finally stopped in. WOW!!! I can't believe what I have been missing! They have an amazing selection (24 varieties!) of both mini and jumbo hand-crafted muffins, as well as bagels, breakfast sandwiches and coffee. There are traditional/common muffin flavors as well as unique and intriguing combinations! I bought a variety of muffins to give as a gift, and the recipient has reported that each of the choices were moist, and delicious. I will definitely return for gift-giving needs in the future. Orders can also be placed online (computer or mobile app). The coffee bar serves up a variety of interesting flavors too! I did taste a muffin and it was absolutely amazing. Because I follow a keto diet (lifestyle), I cannot eat the muffins. I would love to see some keto-friendly options in the future! There are many of us 'keto folks' in Louisville, and to my knowledge, no keto-friendly bakery options are available. Until then, I will be happy to provide these delicious muffins to all of my friends and family! The shop had signage about their covid practices and all staff had on masks. The floor was marked to assist patrons in social distancing while waiting to place an order. Seating is limited to 2 tables that are appropriately distanced. The shop is located on Shelbyville Rd approximately 2 blocks from the intersection of Hurstbourne Parkway. There is plenty of off-street parking. Stop by, you won't be disappointed!

After dropping my teen for a yard work job, I found my way to nearby My Favorite Muffin. It's been so long since I've been here, & I was delighted to see the full cases of delicious muffin choices...& coffee options. Bagels & breakfast sandwiches are available as well. Clear signage about their business Covid practices, limiting # inside at a time, only two high top tables. Marked floor spots for social distancing while waiting to order. I opted for the Bakers dozen of a variety of mini muffins. The butterscotch are my long time favorite, why is Butterscotch such an under appreciated flavor and so few dessert options highlight it? So yep to the Butterscotch, strawberry, chocolate chip and the 13th bonus mini of a double chocolate. A mocha coffee. Conversation at table with a very Covid careful trusted friend. Extra muffins for the sure to be hungry after yard work gig teen son.

MFM is a big win with all my teams at work. I love stopping in to grab a quick dozen or multiple dozen muffins. The mini muffins are perfect for teams. Not too big and gives you some Variety to choose from. They are always a huge hit when I come in with a box of mini muffins. My favorite one is the chocolate cheese. OMG, so delicious! I've been pretty good I usually just pick up to give to others. Love this spot, it's busy in mornings but they usually get you in and out.

My Favorite Muffin is an awesome breakfast spot. I pass it every day on my way to work and finally took the time to stop in this morning. Patients used to bring in their mini muffins all the time, and they are delicious! I saw a fellow Yelper post a photo of their Boston Cream muffin, and knew I had to have one for myself. Not only are they amazing, but they are GIGANTIC! I could only finish about half of it in one sitting! The bakery itself is adorable. They have so many kinds of awesome flavors, so there will definitely something for everyone. All different sizes too - the large one that I go was $3.50, which wasn't bad for its portion size. They also have much later hours than most breakfast spots dot, I think until 5 or 6 on weekdays. I really want to go back to try their coffee soon. Try it out if you drive through Middletown in the mornings!

I'm planning to give My Favorite Muffin another try but I didn't love it. I woke up this morning thinking about coffee but not wanting what I had available. My search for coffee on Yelp reminded me that I'd been wanting to stop by here, so I grabbed my husband and we headed over. The location is located in a shopping center, so it's easy to miss if you're not looking. Walking in, I was surprised at the space and happy to see seating available. The menu was bigger than I expected with large muffins, small muffins, bagels and coffee. Combo meals were offered for a slightly better price than individual prices. We opted for a large muffin each. I got the banana nut and my husband got carrot cake. He said the flavor was good but immediately regretted his choice. With frosting on top he basically ate a huge cupcake for breakfast. I questioned the freshness of my muffin at first - kinda stiff and stuck to the paper but the center was softer. Good, and very filling, but I would've expected better from a muffin made fresh that morning. I've had similar food from a gas station and definitely better food at coffee shops. The regular coffee had decent flavor. It's serve yourself and you can have 1 refill free. Before leaving we our purchased a bakers dozen of smaller muffins for a little over $6. We picked a variety for our 2 boys to try. They were excited when I walked into the house with them but reported they were just "okay, a little dry". Our service experience was mediocre as well. We were checking out the menu and letting the associate know we hadn't been by before. Other than telling us they were out of most bagels, he didn't offer any suggestions or talk about the menu. When someone familiar walked in we were all but forgotten as he and another associate chatted with them while checking us out. It seemed to be a younger staff so I just chalked it up to inexperience with customers. My Favorite Muffin does create boxes and catering platters for times you need breakfast at meetings or the morning after a sleepover. It looked like they offered coffee in bulk as well. I would suggest getting there early for fresher products and more of a variety.

Visited My Favorite Muffin on Shelbyville RD near the Hurstbourne intersection to purchase cupcakes for my daughter's fiance's birthday 2 weeks ago. There was a large selection of many interesting combinations of ingredients. The cupcakes came in a mini- and traditional larger size. I purchased 6 large ones and they barley fit in the box. I did not partake but the recipients of the 'treasure trove' of delight were quite impressed. A great 'fix' for those with an exceptional sweet tooth. All COVID guidelines were observed by the shop and its staff. Thee is ample parking and I was in/out in 10 minutes tops. You can even place an order on-line to expedite your purchase.

When we came here we did not realize that Proof on Main is a not only a wonderful restaurant/bar but also a 24/7 free museum. You can order drinks and then walk through the exhibits. We just opted to eat breakfast first. As soon as you enter, you are standing in a colorful and fun art museum. The walls are adorned with many different types of art from living artists. The staff also encourages you to walk through the dining room and if able they will walk along as your own private docent, explaining a lot of what you see. We had to pause the dining room and bar exhibit tour for a short time to have breakfast which included: - BREAKFAST SANDWICH - Scratch Biscuit, House Sausage, - FRENCH TOAST - Ricotta, Strawberry, Pistachio - BISCUITS & GRAVY - House Sausage Gravy, Sunny Eggs, Chili Crisp Scrambled Eggs, Melty Cheese, Hash-brown - STEEL CUT OATMEAL - Spiced Apple Butter, Apples, Candied Walnuts I will not go items by item but I will say that everything was so perfect-tasty-fresh. The portions are very robust here and I am sure no one goes aways hungry. They have a lot of unique twists on items as you can see by the menu we had. After breakfast, we resumed our tour of the main floor then the basement. It's hard to describe just how large the viewing area is and all spots within the area are used for some kind of art display... Even the bathroom. Everything is so unique and I tried to capture a fair amount of it in photographs and information about the piece as well. This too should be a must visit if your in the Louisville area. Set aside an hour or two to stop in and relax with some great food and art. KUDOs to the team at Proof on Main.

My top-tier chum who literally went to the school of hospitality and I came here two Fridays ago ahead of a bourbon tour (thinking, correctly, that we should probably have a hearty meal beforehand so we didn't end up face-first in a gutter somewhere). Several Kentucky natives told us that we had to try a Hot Brown during our visit, and since it was literally created at the Brown Hotel, this seemed like the logical spot. The actual Hotel has some gorgeous interiors, especially upstairs in the lobby. We didn't see that area until after our meal, so when we laid eyes on the Lobby Bar & Grill, we knew immediately that that was where we SHOULD have gone for this Hot Brown dish. J. Graham's, I'm sorry to say, doesn't have the history and personality of the rest of the building and just looks like a generic breakfast spot you'd find in any hotel. It probably exists solely because the other dining options in the hotel aren't open until later and they want to give tourists and their own customers a place to eat at all times of the day, which isn't a terrible reason in my book. But it's also unfortunately not very good, and the dirty walls and overall meh appearance of the establishment just make it very clear that the hey day for this hotel overall was decades ago. The service was the biggest miss here. Our waitress was scatterbrained, often not around or around but hanging out with co-workers or talking up other customers. It was honestly pretty mystifying because when she DID come by, she was often overly apologetic and trying to make amends. But the best way to make amends is not to have to keep doing that throughout the meal. She forgot my friend's coffee (didn't write anything down when we ordered, which is fine if you remember everything but...) and when my chum asked what was in the hummus (one of just three apps), she didn't know and had to go ask someone in the kitchen. That's arguably a nitpick and she DID try to figure it out, but the lunch menu is pretty small and it was a little odd that her menu knowledge was that limited. The bigger problem was that we were in there for over half an hour longer than we wanted to be because she wouldn't come by our table. I actually actively looked for her on the way to the bathroom so I could remind her to come to our table, but instead found her off to the side gossiping with other staff. Not a good look at all. So this might have been an overall positive experience if some of the hospitality from the hotel had spilled over here. We actually both enjoyed the apps, which were the only real positives of the experience. The Bourbon Barrel Fries and the Two Timer, featuring Smoked Bourbon Hummus (bourbon tends to be the theme of your days in this town, I've found) were both really good, and I probably ate more of those than the actual entree. The fries were cooked perfectly and were well seasoned/addictive. The Hot Brown was fine for what it was (we split it to try). It's basically a dramatic turkey melt, with slices of turkey coated in cheese and other sauces. It also came with strips of bacon on top, which on a personal palate level I didn't think really helped the dish so I barely nibbled on those. It's definitely a solid entry but it wasn't mind-blowing for either of us. Maybe it's just from where we come from in the Northeast, but I'm conditioned to like my turkey with accompanying stuffing, and usually in the latter part of November. I think it felt kind of weird to be eating turkey with warm cheese. But I'm glad we tried it and got the context at least. You might have a completely different experience with better service, but I'd still recommend going upstairs for any dining. It's a much better atmosphere and you can really appreciate where this hotel fits in the chronology of Louisville. You're not going to get that from going here.
