We purchased a table and after delivery, we noticed some nicks after we came back from vacation. We never used it as we were still looking for dining chairs. Our expert woodworker noticed that it isn't "solid" wood as the salesman mentioned and he pointed out the multiple nicks and scratches throughout the table. The table base was held together with only Phillips heads, small washers, and staples. The staples held the panels that formed the base and our woodworker mentioned that another couple had the same table except that one had glue instead of staples. I tried calling them and nobody picked up, when my wife called they were very rude and the person who I believe is the owner of Pera initially stated that there is a "lifetime" warranty and pretended to try and work with you. However, the second time my wife called, he stated that he never mentioned that and claimed we were the ones who damaged the table. His attitude seems to give off that his product is superior to others and nothing can compare to it. We also heard from our neighbors that Peradesign wasn't the first business he owned, there have been multiple businesses before Pera was even a thought. We are dissatisfied with this company and be wary of those who claim their product is perfect.

I called the store immediately, the designer came to the phone but offered no apologies, no options. It's a custom piece, of course, so I can't return it. But I am deeply disappointed and will not use this particular Ethan Allen again. Buying furniture should be fun - and for the price, their customers should be thrilled with how the room turns out. Unfortunately there was an…read moreexplosion in the home just prior to purchasing it and I was forced to postpone the delivery of my furniture order (had nothing occurred the order would have been able to be delivered on time). This is where Ethan Allen customer service fell apart. Other vendors gladly agreed to hold my orders for many months with no issues due to the unusual unforeseen circumstances Ethan Allen refused to extend the time of holding my furniture frequently citing the terms of the contract that I had signed and that it "wasn't their fault". They wanted to force me to pay outrageous storage fees and to pay for the furniture in full, site unseen. I was forced to secure a unit at a storage facility near the property and have the furniture delivered there. This is still an expense, but much cheaper option than what Ethan Allen was going to charge me for storage. They even had the nerve to not deliver the complete order to the storage facility. They had to make a 2nd delivery to the unit a week later with the missing items. The storage unit is near my new home but is a 200 mile round trip from where I am temporarily living. So I had to travel a total of 400 miles because of their negligence with the delivery. Manager Barbara and salesperson Deborah were absolutely abominable and have zero compassion or customer service skills. I realize what occurred fell outside the parameters of their precious contract, but this was a very unique and unusual situation which required them looking past all that to help out a customer. Shame on Ethan Allen. They represent themselves as a high end store...when you are purchasing. Once the purchase has been finalized their true colors shine through. ** I live in Congers NY. Service was nice and there are a couple of items in stock and she promised to delivery within "3 weeks", and the rest in late June. That "3 weeks" was a beginning of a nightmare. the whole reason I chose them is free of hassle to have one whole batch of furnitures delivered and installed. It took them until 15 June to delivery the "in stock" desk item after I tried to contact them through email multiple times and eventually had enough and called their store manager. He realized that they have them in warehouse in early June and gave me mercy to send it to me. The attached TV unit is also sent in the same batch. But the door won't close as shown in the first picture. So I emailed them, waited for a couple of days. No response obviously. Then I called, store manager ensured they will send my "missing desk" and a service guy to fix it. I waited until Friday 18th June but no one contacted me as the delivery and service is supposed to be next Monday. So I contacted their moving firm, yes I know their moving firm now.. and finally confirm that on the Monday next. Two guys came in and did the "fix up" this Monday. Today is Friday. As shown in the second picture, the glue on the TV unit magnet, which is supposed to hold the door close, fell off. so my 3K USD new TV unit is broken again. I am too upset I am just gonna throw it away. now I am beyond frustrated with them and I start to reflect on the stupidity of myself for trusting them. My original naive idea was if I bought a lot with them, I should at least get their best service. so apparently this has been their "best service". The following is my last response to them and I do not want to ever deal with them again. "Got ur message and it's still broken. I actually have no more request for u guys. Too disappointed to care.
