The positive reviews are legit. I feel so much better now. Came on Yelp yesterday and got the service today. Thanks to everyone who responded. Stressful times. We went around the house, I learned a lot. Found ant colonies in a few places, including two old discarded solar motion lights that had become ant apartments, they were inside and underneath them. Sprayed those. These ants have made their way into the kitchen as well over the years. Back to the spiders. I was actually heating up reading online that spray may not work as well on spiders because of their long legs and you need to spray em in their face. All of them? Giant spiders and their 30-50 newborns moved into the kitchen. After it dropped down from the light fixture and was right in front of my face, I got mad and killed it. Thought that was it. Nope. Found the babies the next day. Today two more giants were found dead after Les sprayed. One we saw fall dead and Les removed it. One giant spider I saw later that I thought was the one we saw dead earlier but it wasn't. So there were at least 3. I'll attach a photo. Les removed webs from everywhere. I appreciate the help. I don't have much to say here. Les picked up the phone the first time I called and was super thoughtful and helpful with some thoughts on my pest issue. He told me he'd send an email with some prices and with times for an appointment for him to come out, and he never did, and I never heard from him again. Since you gotta get pest issues resolved elsewhere, I had to move on to someone who was more responsive. It's not helpful to threaten or harass companies that are too busy to take on your work, and each one of us is not the most important job in the world (except to us!) - so just move on if you can't get helped in the timeframe you need. read more

Fortunately the night I left my review, little Jerry found himself on the traps I had set up prior to getting Leslie out to me. We still wanted Leslie to come out because we didn't know how bad our pest issue was. Once Leslie arrived at our house, it was immediately evident that he is great at what he does. It seems like we were unlucky and were caught in a bad storm of his calendar mixup (which explains why no one else left bad reviews). Leslie spent a great amount of time in our home going through every nook and cranny searching for entry ways, which he found a few, and sealed those he could. He was very thorough in his explanations, provided a plethora of information as well as tips for getting our home back to "normal." NOW that I know the quality of work he provides, it makes sense why his reviews were stellar and it further proves why I chose to give him our business and will continue to do so. He was a no show/no call the day I was supposed to do the initial check for bedbugs but came another day. Then he did not get back with me EVER when I asked his availability for treatment over a month ago. I had to go with Terminix unfortunately :( Bedbugs are a nuisance that takes a huge toll on peoples' mental health so I wish the situation was taken more seriously. Very professional. Very thorough. Went above and beyond. Came to handle a yellow jacket colony that was making its way into the house but did a walk around and noticed a small hole that could become an entryway for mice and snakes - sealed it up. I appreciated that when I suggested they were honeybees, he directed me to the local apiary which would have done the removal for free. Not a lot of people would have the integrity to talk themselves out of a job. The owner, Les Moore, was also interested in educating about the difference between yellow jackets (still trying to figure out their purpose) and honeybees (pollinators). Based on my experience with Les, I'm being very generous with two stars. I hired him based on yelp reviews, but what a big mistake. Les was great up front to get the job but fell flat afterwards. He rushed the job, scattered around a bunch of cheap, ineffective glue traps and left with several hundred easy in his pocket. He did not do do thorough work and left key areas untreated and did not work as requested and discussed in advance. I gave him an opportunity to make good on his word and work but he quickly turned argumentative with nothing but rude excuses. What a complete waste of time and money dealing with his unprofessional, incomplete and lazy work. Next time Les is NOT my guy!!! read more

Les did a wonderful job of treating my condo, as well as accommodating my work schedule and need for services on the weekend. He arrived on time for a routine pest spraying on a day, I'd had an infestation of fruit flies from leftover vegetation in the trash. He not only treated for pests, but patiently examined the entire condo unit, provided me information on abatement, and a provided a thorough spraying of the unit to treat the swarm of fruit flies as well. He gave me information for a recurring mouse problem I have (from living next to an unoccupied unit) and even set the mouse traps strategically throughout the condo for me. The fruit flies were gone within a day and I haven't seen evidence of the mouse since. Les also called the next day to follow up, given that I was visibly disturbed by both the mouse and numerous fruit flies. I contacted this company to nip a potential infestation in the bud. We just moved into a new home, and unfortunately purchased a used appliance, which brought baby roaches into our home. I contacted them yesterday morning, and they ignored me. I contacted them a second time about five hours later, threatening to go elsewhere. Despite having a long time affection for cute little Jerry, of my favorite cartoon show 'Tom & Jerry, to have one in real life was not going to go over well in real life. I don't hand out 5 stars lightly, so I'll start there. I analyze reviews for hours if I need to for any type of service, so just because a business has five starts doesn't automatically mean that I'll contact them. I look at the stars, the comments, the quantity to determine if this business will even get a call. That is what I did for my current pest problem. I currently already have a routine pest control company. They have a roster of clients they have to see each day. They answer questions quickly and get out and leave me with a "give us a call" if you need something else. So I was not just looking for the next "chain" pest control business. So I found another company that had good reviews, the "receptionist" answered and couldn't answer any of my questions, but took my name, number, address and made an appointment so the technician could come out and give me prices then. (Say What?) She couldn't give me any details about the service, a price range, or anything. Ok. So then I called My Guy Pest Professionals. A gentleman answered immediately, no crazy hold music nor being "routed" to the next representative. He asked me a few questions about my issues. I asked him a zillion more questions about his method, the process, and 30 minutes later, I knew I was in good hands. We needed a specialist, someone who would take the time to listen and answer our questions and would not rush me to get to the next job on his roster. Today, Les came to our home and did a thorough inspection. He made recommendations and gave us more education than anybody has ever!!! He is a specialist and knows his stuff. I freaked out after seeing a cute (but obviously killer) mouse in our house a couple of days ago. I spent the entire night scouring Yelp for a good exterminator, barely slept a wink. When I called Les the next morning I was barely coherent from sleep deprivation, yet, he managed to sort out what I was saying and we were able to schedule a time for him to check it out that same day. Les was 100% professional, took his time to check nearly every corner of the house for signs of rodent life, sealed up holes where they were likely to get in and out. I was jumpy the entire time due to the 3 shots of espresso I had to ingest to make it through my work day and I'm sure I was annoying the hell out of him but he did a great job nonetheless. He laid down some traps and even checked some termite tunnels he found in the garage to make sure they weren't active. The very next day Mickey was a goner. And y'know, once I saw ha little body in the trap, I actually felt kinda bad about having to take him out like that... he was kinda cute after all, in a disease infested rodent kinda way.
