Arrived at My Gym Folsom for a child's birthday party over the weekend. Had never come before so uncertain of what to expect. Upon arrival, it was a nice welcome to see that for birthday parties, the entire location is secured just for that one party and not others like it can be with other venues. Everyone was welcomed and the staff were attentive to the children and parents. The location has seating as well near the entrance that is separate from the play area, so parents/grandparents are not in the way :) The location isn't "huge" but seemed to have plenty of structures for the kids to play on. My initial reaction was that there wasn't much especially considering that after a child uses say a trampoline, they may get bored shortly after. However, what I didn't see right away is they have a back room FILLED with different toys and activities. During the party, there was face painting, they played modern music and dance, they incorporated dodge ball between parents and children, there was a zip line, and frequent stops to bring up a new challenge or activity for the kids. There was even a moment where the lights went down, and a laser light show was on with some pop music. Overall, I can see why kids really enjoy this place and my daughter had a really great time being entertained by the staff. This is a great venue if you have smaller children and enjoy a location where you don't need to frequently monitor if your children haven't run away or get out of view, this is a solid option.

My daughter loves her time and interacting with other kids/friends. Attentive staff!

They let me hang up a birthday banner as well :)

They hosted my son's second birthday party and it was so much fun! We did the premier package which included a few decorations they let us choose out of a menu of options, all the plates and utensils we needed, some structured activities planned for the kids, a balloon bouquet, face painting, and they helped serve all our food. Our guests loved the whole experience! The kids had enough time for free play, and the activities the planned were tailored to things they knew my son would love! The staff called us ahead of time to get information on what his interests were and what songs he liked. A majority of our guests were 2-4 years old but even the older kiddos had fun! It was incredibly convenient for us as parents. We brought a few extra decorations and some snacks as well as a cake, but they did the rest!

I enrolled my son in the trial week at My Gym and have gone to a handful of classes already. I like the structure of the classes, as well as their online scheduling system. It's very user friendly and being able to schedule things ahead of time is really helpful. As for the staff, everybody has been very friendly. Most are very enthusiastic which is awesome and gets the kids' attention. However there is one person that stood out to me. The first time I saw her was our first class and it was the first class of the day so I figured maybe she's not a morning person. After a couple classes I noticed she was always with another teacher and they were giving her cues what to say or do so I think she must be new so that's totally understandable. She plays with the kids and has a commanding voice when announcing things but I don't think I've seen her smile even after several classes. But no big deal. My main concern though was when she was telling a story once, she kept touching or rubbing her nose, more than once. Another time she was coughing out in front of her, it wasn't in the middle of the gym but she should still be mindful. I didn't like that since they make such a huge deal out of health safety here - they have signs to sanitize before and after entering, and they announce at the end to remind everyone not to come to class if you or your child are sick. There are different classes to enroll in depending on your child's age, along with a "free play" session. You can schedule a certain amount of classes and then you can schedule more as you complete a class. Hypothetically you can go everyday (maybe even twice a day depending what classes you are eligible for) as long as you stay on top of your scheduling! We took advantage of our trial so we went everyday. I did notice there is a theme per week so if you're going to multiple classes in the same week then you'll be hearing a lot of the same songs and activities on rotation. Classes are about 45-50 minutes. They don't start right on the dot which is good because usually people run late with kids! But it's nice if you're on time because your kid can get inside and start playing already until they begin class. I like that the class is structured into many different segments and it's always moving fast before kids even have a chance to get bored. I also appreciate that there is a learning aspect too - they have activities to learn skills, sharing, cleaning up, and listening to the teacher. There is an open lobby seating area so another parent (or family or friend!) can come and hangout and watch also. This is nice because it allows our whole family to come so I can feed our newborn and watch while my husband is in class with our son. I do wish the lobby area was bigger though because it can get packed at the end when everyone's getting shoes on and trying to leave. After your trial week, tuition is paid 4 weeks at a time. It seems like a lot all up front, but I think it's a great structured way to have your kids play and interact, and if you take advantage of all the class times then it does come out much cheaper than if you were going to go to a play center with a one-time entrance fee. Time will tell if we will keep attending here but for now we are going to keep coming because it has been a lifesaver during these rainy cold days!

We started coming back as i now have 2 crazy critters that need socialization and guidance lol. Plus gives me a break. Coming back was simple. My account was still active and all i had to do was add my second. My son now 4 enjoys the activities and games the instructors create. They have so much patience with all the kids. I'm the mom constantly loudly telling my son to listen to sit if i hear the instructors tell him more than once. But in reality i learned the instructors got it. Lol My 2 year old daughter love it, took her a while to warm up. She loves using the wall climb and the bar to hang on. I'm happy they are open during these times and they are super cautious when it comes to sanitizing.

My Daughter LOVES "My Gym"!! Its a really cool place for kids to come and be active & interact with other kids in a safe environment. The Staff is awesome, friendly and good with the kids as well! They have different little obstacles and things to just let your little one play and explore. They break up the time so its not just playing with 1 thing the entire time.... They rotate between the obstacles, swings, toys & have the kids help clean up, when its time... They even do circle time with stories for the Kids!! Ivy is almost 2 and she gets so excited when we pull i to the parking lot for "My Gym"! There are also many time slots available through the week to sign up for. Excellent place for Children.

We had an amazing time at MyGym celebrating our child's first birthday! The instructors were nice and kept the activities going for the kids. Once we arrived, they asked if we wanted structured activities or go with the flow. They summarized all of the activities that they were going to do to see if we had any changes. They made sure to cater to all age groups so everyone was included. They provided decor, played our specific party playlist, served the food and cut the cake for our guests. It felt good to arrive and not have to worry about what's next. They really handled everything. We would choose MyGym again for a birthday celebration!

We've been coming here for years and both my kids love it! It's a great place to bring young ones as they start to build learning and social skills. They offer classes for older kids as well. We took a break due to COVID, however, we decided to come back and my son is loving it! He is currently 3.5 years old and enjoys being here (without parent participation). After a couple of sessions, I already see improvement with my son's listening skills. The best part is that we still see the some of the same instructors from years ago. They recognize and quickly remember the kids' names and faces. They make us feel like family! Masks and sanitizing are enforced so I feel safe sending my child here.

We loveeee my gym! I put my oldest daughter in my gym about four years ago ( she's almost 5) as she was a stage 5 clinger to me. Attending my gym helped her become confident, make friends, and I really believe it helped her to prepare to be in a social environment for preschool. Fast forward to now, I had to also put my second daughter in my gym because she was a Covid baby. She was extremely nervous and scared around other people but for the past couple of months, my gym has helped become confident immediately! What a change so far! We love all of the instructors there and I really appreciate the options of taking any class I want. The gym is so clean and you can tell the instructors really care about the kids! We live in Lodi but we gladly take the trip here on the weekends for the girls to participate! Thank you my gym for helping my girls learn and grow!

Came here through a guest pass from a friend!…read more I came here to try out the classes and they are very high quality. The 7-day pass that I got from my friend allowed me access to 7 classes. At some point I did receive an email where they extended my pass by two days which was nice. This allowed me to try another 4 classes. Overall, I tried Ride (cycling), Reform, Hot Pilates, Yoga Flow, and their boxing class. The instructors do know how many times you've been to their class based on the roster and they either know or you can tell them it's your first class so they can make sure they watch out for you if you need help. Ride with Becca and Thuy was very fun! The lights and music are so fun. Becca was so kind as to advise us that the "side bars" (seating on the sides) was no fun, so she tried to seat me and my partner together in the main area for the bikes, which she ended up being able to accommodate. My partner and I did end up on the side bars for Thuy's hip hop x kpop ride and it was definitely not as cool, but still fun nontheless, because Thuy had such great energy and she brought these little light sticks for us to have fun with (to keep as a souvenir, as well!) Anyway, Becca was also such a fun instructor! I am impressed that the other gym goers are so good at remembering choreography and following along. I've done Isa's classes for Hot Pilates and Yoga Flow and her instruction is great. I feel very relaxed but also empowered doing her classes. They are done in the Sweat+ room, so it does get warm. A lot of people have yoga towels for their mats and I would say that's a great idea. The main downside of the Sweat+ room is that at the front of the class there are ants...not sure if they have noticed that, hence I knocked a star off. Reform was nice! I had one of the instructors twice and she knew it was my first time so she made sure to keep an eye out for me if I wasn't particularly sure about what to do. It's nice that the instructors walk around the room to help make adjustments. The instructors do vary on difficulty level, so I would say try out multiple instructors to find the one that suits your level. I appreciated that the reform instructors handed out sanitary wipes for us to wipe the equipment down after use. Their boxing class with Jacob was great. His energy is infectious and you can't NOT have fun in there! He was very welcoming and inclusive even though I had some struggles remembering the moves. I would say overall, you would very likely get used to the moves in each of these classes. The instructors are very enthusiastic and care about their members. I would say that the front desk staff have also been very friendly and helpful. Overall, facilities are fairly new and clean. I did also try out their recovery area with the leg compression only, which I believe all of the services in here is for a premium. The other trade off for this gym is that if you want to do the sled push, you would be in the center of the gym where everyone can essentially watch you. I haven't really tried out their equipment but it looks pretty good. Outside of the class rooms, there are areas where you can practice mat exercises. I think I would consider a membership here; the costs are worth it if you are thinking about doing their classes on a regular basis.

As I workout I see the workers wiping down machines and checking for trash around the gym. I also love how they offer towels to members here. The front desk is also great at remembering members names and greeting them. They are always so welcoming and are very nice. The main inconvenience I have had here is they take a long time to fix broken machines.. way longer than other gyms I have been too. I see there's a lot of reviews saying the same thing so hopefully Laguna Creek Sports Club can work on that! The location of this gym is also nice because parking is never a problem. At other gyms I have been to, parking would be a pain sometimes because the gym would be in a shopping plaza.. which limited the parking for gym members. Laguna Creek Sports club is tucked away in a neighborhood and has plenty of parking, even when they have their big tennis events.

I'm very disappointed with how this club treats its swim team members…read more Although we pay both membership fees and swim team fees, swimmers are not allowed to use club towels, spa facilities, or the adult locker room, even when children are accompanied by adults and under supervision. Meanwhile, these amenities are available to other members. This creates a clear sense of inconsistent and unfair treatment toward a specific group of paying members. What is particularly frustrating is that these rules and differences in treatment were not clearly explained at the time of joining or during the sign-up process. Members are not made aware in advance that swimmers may be treated differently or have more restricted access compared to other members. There have also been repeated instances where a female parent has entered the boys' locker room many many times, which raises additional concerns about how locker room access rules are being enforced and managed. I have raised these issues with management, but they have not been addressed in a transparent or satisfactory way. If you are considering joining with children in the swim team, I would strongly recommend asking very specific questions about facility access and how policies are applied before committing.
