The menu is extensive--possibly one of the largest Thai restaurant menus I've seen. It was rich, flavorful, and wonderfully coconut-forward. My husband chose the Pad See Ew, and that was equally impressive. As someone who doesn't enjoy a lot of spice, I appreciated that they asked about spice preferences before sending our order to the kitchen. We also started with the Healthy Rolls, which were fresh and light, packed with vegetables and shrimp wrapped in lettuce and rice paper. This place will definitely be added to our recommendations and "go-to" list for Stafford. Food & Drinks: The menu is essentially a photo-filled magazine, which makes choosing easy. We went when during their soft-opening phase and didn't have their liquor license, but their non-alcoholic drinks selections are excellent. I believe they now have their full bar and license. We choose a variety of items. Highlights for us included the 911 (Kapow) Fried Rice, Red Curry, and Goong Prik Gleur (we substituted chicken). All were flavorful and well-made. The duck rolls were recommended and good but only came with two pieces, which felt overpriced for what they were. One minor downside: they provide small white rice portions, leaving you needing more but at a cost. Service: Service was very attentive during our visit, almost too attentive. Our server checked on us every few minutes, and multiple other staff members stopped by as well. Everyone was friendly and eager to help, but the frequency became a bit overwhelming. Atmosphere: The décor is attractive, with tree-style accents that add personality, though the overall layout doesn't create a very intimate feel. Still, it's a pleasant space considering the location. One Caution/Negative: They automatically add gratuity for parties of five (usually six) or more. While not a surprise, as a family of two adults and three kids, this caught us off guard. Especially as a typical family. Even though it was pretty busy inside, we were seated in about 30 minutes without a reservation. Our waitress was very kind and gave us great menu recommendations. It was delicious and medium spice was just right. The noodles were perfect and the beef was delicious. Mist of all the flavor both times was consistent which can be hard to achieve nowadays. First, wonderful atmosphere! I went during the lunch rush and was sat at the bar, but it wasn't too loud or chaotic. The main room is spacious with contemporary decor. Friendly staff who were helpful in answering dietary questions about the different menu items. I opted for one of their Italian sodas, and the barkeep suggested I mixed it up to drink. The drink, Starlight Mist, turned a beautiful midnight purple. Sweet berry flavor with a little acid from the lemon slice. The dumplings were hot and full of flavor, and the sauce served with them was a perfect sweet compliment to the salty, savory meat filling. I ordered the crab fried rice as a part of the lunch special and it is definitely worth it! It is a large portion of rice with plenty of large pieces of crab meat and fried egg on top. This is the newest of the 5 Thai restaurants to open in Stafford and it's definitely starting off on a really good note! The vibe is very upscale and chic, sort of like some very popular Thai places in Northern VA (notably One Loudoun). The menu is quite large and has pics to help you decide. Service is excellent! Very attentive and helpful with the menu, while understanding their customers nicely and providing great feedback on the menu. We enjoyed everything we tried... Starting with their Larb Gai, which was a HUGE salad! One of the biggest we've ever gotten in a Thai restaurant and the flavors were on-point! Larb has to be made with the freshest of ingredients and these were definitely very fresh. Also tried their Tom Yum Gai and that too was huge and amazing! The mushrooms were fresh, not canned (had those in this dish before) and they were beautiful. The broth was so nicely flavored with the right ratio of fish sauce. A favorite of our when we go to Thai restaurants is Basil Fried Rice and their version is 911 Rice, which they also call "Ka Pow Fried Rice." This was perfect! Nice "wok hei" flavor to the rice and a decent spice. The fried basil leave garnish added a very nice touch to the dish! Their Pad Prik Khing was perfectly done too... great flavor, but if you ask for mild, you might want to get the spice tray to slightly bring it up to a respectable spice level. Their ka pow chicken was nice, but to me, ka pow is like the Chinese food of Thai... it's mostly saucy and moderately flavored, but they add tons of spice and that adds body... I like this, but it's not was I truly appreciate about how it probably should be. Overall... This was a very nice lunch we had and we'll most definitely be back.
