Hi everyone, I had a wonderful pay it forward moment that I want to share with everyone on this awesome Friday afternoon. I have been stressed all day long with a lot of work to do and I had to run out and ship several items, and of course on an empty stomach I have not eaten all day. So, as the owner at the mail shipping place is helping me she received her lunch order and I made a comment I'm going to grab a bit to eat too I didn't even have breakfast today. About 10 minutes later she offered me one of her corn dogs that she ordered and I graciously excepted because I was starving. And that's all I needed was a corndog because we're taking my handsome son out for his 30th birthday tonight and I know I'll be eating a nice meal. But I just needed something to tide me over. THIS is the BEST "My Mail Box" in Modesto...anywhere to be honest! New Business Owner!!! (she used to be at Country Bear on Coffee) took over and completely disregard any other bad ratings!!! Sheryl (sorry if I messed the spelling ) is the BEST packing person I have ever met!!! I have an Aunt in St Mary's Idaho and my Son and his family in Little Rock Arkansas that ship frequently to. I had lost a lot of weight and was sending my clothes to my Aunt ... TWO FULL bags with of shirts sundresses pants etc.... I figured I would have to pay at least $80 for shipping because of the weight.... NOPE!!! Sheryl got it ALL in one flat rate box!!! I swear she must have been a magician in a former life!! NO WAY ANYONE else could have done what she did and I was standing there watching!!! THIS... is the place to bring ALL of your postal needs to! Plenty of parking available as well, this is Standiford and before Tully location, next door to Papapavlo's Bistro. I highly recommend THIS "My Mail Box", Sheryl always has a smile on her face and makes time to chat with you for whatever your mailing needs, my children's grandmother and will never go anywhere else again. read more

I am usually a USPS girl. Just get it shipped, nothing fancy. I went in yesterday afternoon, beause I was required to use FedEx on this particular occasion. The business is a pleasant enough setting for mailing a package. (The radio wasn't on, and no one else was in the place - I had a far different experience than the other reviewer). The owner was delightful, recommended a lot of different options, and tried to get me the cheapest rate while still getting me features I needed (signature required, etc). On a personal note, I decided to come here because this business shipped a lot of care packages to soldiers in Afghanistan, free of cost. I wanted to support a business that would do such a great thing, and I'll continue to come here anytime I need to FedEx anything. Additionally - the owner is also a notary. read more

Do not leave a package without getting a receipt. Without a receipt it is impossible to prove you dropped it off.

Rude. Not helpful. They don't help you package your item for "liability" reasons. What crock. Went to A+ instead, they were friendly, helped me package and choose the best choice to ship. No hassles. Save your money, Don't go here. read more

This place is funny These guys open up at 10am I pulled up at 9:59 and the unprofessional girl that worked there wouldn't let me in. Then The owner pulls up and starts talking shit to me and tells me that I can't go in there because I was hustling the girl when I never even looked or talk to her at all you guys need to go get new employees. These people are jokes. If I were you I would not bring my mail here to get sent out there probably won't make it anyways I've done that here before like seven months ago and my package never made it and I came to give them another chance and they treat me like I'm somebody bad you guys should not go here they are bad people and don't care about you or your package you sending. read more

0 stars I went here to send important papers and receipts to my job I sent them usps priority flat rate they charged me 10.00 for an flat rate envelope on 2-29 .nine days later my company emailed me asking for the papers I said I sent them 9 days ago .so I called this place they call a business and the lady told me theirs no tracking number have to pay extra wth.if any of you ever shipped usps priority it comes with tracking and 50 insurance.so this place they call a business is useing usps boxes and selling tracking numbers which they get free I never write reviews but this is wrong and the papers that they lost is how I get paid and feed my family Soo mad right now I called usps and they gonna investigate this company stay away you have been warned read more

During the conversation with staff, it was admitted that they frequently receive rejected fingerprint submissions (at least once a month), which immediately raised concerns. I mentioned that if prints look poor, "people just need lotion," but there was little effort to proactively address print quality during the actual appointment on their end. What was frustrating is that they also downplayed the issue by saying it's "easy to redo" if rejected -- which begs the question of why rejections are so common in the first place. I have over 35 employees who have completed Live Scans at other facilities with zero rejections, and this was never framed as a recurring issue elsewhere. When the rejection did occur, the store manager, Alonzo, blamed the DOJ and stated that DOJ "automatically rejects prints" with high volumes of prints due to older machines. This explanation doesn't hold up, as none of the dozens of other Live Scan facilities we use have experienced this issue. As a result, I now have to wait and potentially redo the entire process for an employee who reasonably assumed UPS was a reputable option for fingerprinting. My takeaway is that the prints are being done inefficiently, and if rejection rates are high enough that staff preemptively mention redoing them, this is probably not the best facility to choose for something as compliance-critical as Live Scan fingerprinting. That said, I am giving 2 stars because the staff did take the time to speak with me, and despite my frustration (I have very little tolerance for incompetence and lack of accountability), they did remain professional during the conversation.

The young girl working behind the counter took all my packages, only gave me a receipt for 1, and set my bins down / or handed them to me and I set them down, but began to help my mother. After she got my mother's package labeled, we got busy talking and took off. I realized once I got back from work that I forgot my shipping bins at the center. I called, and the same girl answered. I explained I had accidentally forgotten my containers. The girl told me she thought they were trash and threw them away, she asked me if I wanted them back and I said yes please, my mother would be there to pick them up. I confirmed with the girl on the phone what their hours were, and she told me she would be there until 5:30pm. At 5:20 my mother called from the front door of A+ Shipping center, it was LOCKED. Doors were locked lights were off. They left early knowing that my mother was coming to collect my property. We will never use them again. The employee was rude!

First of all to be perfectly clear, My Mailbox is under new management as of 11/13/2018 so any bad reviews (check the date and be sure you realize if it was before November 2018 it isn't regarding Cheryl. Cheryl is number one in the postal mailbox businesses. She is fabulous and will always go the extra mile for you. She is 100% customer service, she was even open on some holidays that everyone else was closed. If you need the best care for your mail and pkgs you need Cheryl. I have been her customer for many years (she was somewhere else before she opened her own place here) and I never would go anywhere else. Thank goodness this place is under new management! I went by here about three years ago and I had a horrible experience with the previous owners. Luckily, there were new people in there and they had lowered their prices to a more reasonable rate. Plus, they are a family-run business and very friendly, so I am glad to give them my business! My package got there exactly when they said it would, and it was intact. I have had problems with other shipping places not packing correctly and it showing up in many pieces. HIGHLY recommend this place for all your shipping needs! They also have a notary public there at all times which is a nice service. read more
