I go see Helen regularly on my lunch and can get a mani, pedi and eyebrow wax in under an hour not to mention a reasonable price! Been coming here for years (mostly pedicures) Kim is a very nice lady . However she is very shy and can come off as mean since she does struggle with her English and is taken the wrong way . Once you get to know her she is the most nicest person EVER. If you are wanting extravagant nails and crazy art Don't recommend this place . Kim mostly does simple manicures and pedicures . She can add glitters maybe a flower but she is not know for amazing nail art. Don't expect royalty service here unless Kim knows you and you make her feel comfortable Also call before you go don't be that Karen that just shows up and expect her to take you In :) it's just Kim and her friend not a whole staff. This place is awful!!! I asked for pink and white and instead of putting a white tip or white acrylic she tried to paint the tip white and every tip had a blank fuz in it so I told her I'll just get a color. She didn't paint my nails all the way. She was rude when I told her my thumb is crooked. The nail polish has tons of bubbles in it!!! If I could rate this place no stars I would. Arrived at noon on a Wednesday and when I walked in the lady looked confused. It was only her there working on a 1 client. I asked if she had time for a soak off (nail extension removal which consists of my nails soaking in acetone for 15-20mins and about 5mins before and after of prep and clean up). She didn't understand me I guess when I said "soak off" and instead of asking me to repeat myself she looked at her client with a confused face. After repeating myself a couple more times and she finally understood me she immediately shushed me off and said she didn't have time. For the price, it is not bad at all. My appointment was at 10 and I was out by 10:40! Quickest time I've ever experienced. Don't let the quickness fool you though, she took her time and asked if I liked my nails throughout the process so I could let her know if my shape was off. One star off cus the clear coat melted off on one nail and was kind of painful but honestly my nails look great for the price I paid and I'd definitely come back! read more

I went in there with a positive attitude thinking she was going to give me the results that I asked for and she did the complete opposite‼ Kim is her name and I don't recommend going to this nail salon. poor customer service and job badly done. I wish I would've got a refund too. She didn't fully polish my nails including the corners she just glided the brush against my nails and called it a day. Then the acrylics were all crooked and I didn't like that. I spent $70 what a waste of time and money. Today I walked in and the girl asked what I needed and I told her I want to take my acrylic nails off and wanted to know how long the wait was. There was two workers and they were already working on girls and there was one girl sitting and waiting ( this is why I asked how long the wait was). She then said "we're busy". Now I own a business and any nail salon that I've been in that is not how u respond to someone. I've walked into many salons where they may be busy but if they are to busy they simply ask if the client can come back and they will help then. Could of said if u come back in an hour or 30 mins and I can help you but rn we are busy. So her just saying "we're busy" seemed very rude. So I just left. Definitely won't be going back. read more

First of all I use to walk into this nail salon and get my nails done there All the time this was the place I would always go since my kid was younger but the other day I walked in on my day off to get pedicure everyone was available but no one would do my pedicure so I had my Neice call in to make appointment the lady that answered phone said can you come in now to my Neice but prior to me waking in they said no to me anyways I don't need there bad service I will just get my pedicures somewhere else it seems like they don't have very good customer service honestly there was no reason for that it's there loss not mine oh we'll just won't go there again !!! read more

Bad customer service is a buzz kill on all levels. Walked in on a Wednesday afternoon to fix one toe nail because it's chipped. The man was with a client and the other lady promptly told me to come back in 40 minutes because she was waiting for a client.... who wasn't even there yet. They didn't even look at my toes or anything. I could understand if I wanted anything else... but in the time she asked me to come back she really could have just slapped some polish over my chip and called it a day.. My mom would take me here growing up because she loves the workers, i went today and Hellen attended me so well. Got a gel pedicure for $39 and in my opinion it was worth it. She was gentle with my nails that had a bit of an ingrown nail. Super sweet! read more

Unfortunately, this place is not what it use to be. I went in for a pedicure and a full set. Nail polish from my pedicure was left on my skin not properly cleaned off, my full was not properly set some nails are wider on one hand and more narrow on the other. You really can't beat a $20 spa pedi or $23 for a full set. I love everyone who works there, there's not anyone who doesn't do a good job. They all learn your name and are very sweet. First of all, the lady who did my nail was rude because she speaks her own language when she has to say something especially in front of a customer. You can sense she is something against you. And the way she did my nail, she didn't even straightened up my nails. Crooked and unpiled. My nails are brittle and ugly, that's the reason I went to a nail salon so at least my nails are presentable. But the lady who did my nail, doesn't know what shes doing. I went here on I believe between October&November of last year. There was a different place a block or so away and my mom and I had made an app to this other place, my mom was a regular there for a tad yet when we walked in for our appointments, the woman that was going to take care of us JUST barely started on what we think was a walk-in! Telling us to wait 45 minutes. So we did, called, didn't answer. She called back and we said TOO LATE! As we were in someone else's chairs already and it happen to be in My Nails salon. We both loved it! After not even a few weeks getting manicures though, there was mold underneath the fake nails. I'm not sure maybe if a face scrub gets underneath and when it gets stuck??.. IDK. Because of finances and that we stopped. I started going again for about 2months and my french manicure only lasted a month, the nails already popped off on the 4th week :/ So that was kind of disappointing. But now I'm getting overlays with color and I think I like this better anyways! (and no mold has appeared again). When I first went with my mom I had one of the ladies help me. She has such a rough touch and my skin is really sensistive so we were not a good match. When I started going again, I went as a walk-in (and after a few months they remembered me! I love that!) and Tiger took me. I told him about my sensitive skin and he was WONDERFUL! I still get a little nervous but he is def the go-to-guy! And prices are affordable! I'm a young, single mom paying for everything on my own (except 1/2 of daycare every week) and as a mom you just like to feel good about yourself! This helps alot and I'm so glad I'm able to do this and go to them! Great experience! *** OH AND! Just yesterday I had to reschedule my app which is usually every other Friday @12. But this Friday I don't get off of work early so I needed as late as possible. I read below they close @7pm, Tiger scheduled me for 6:45 - I have to say that their dedication is AMAZING! So my friend and I chose to try this place out it was our first time here. They were very friendly it was small but it looked clean. So my friend got Tiger she loved him unfortunately for me I got a lady that unfortunately I didn't get her name (sorry) I was so mad I forgot. Well after Tigers section there's the tv and then it's this lady's section. So I went in for a fill I picked out a nail polish and asked for a gel clear coat. I also asked for wide nails and she left them straight. When she was done I waited for them to dry n we checked them they were completely dry. She charged me 21 I was amazed it was very cheap so I headed home about two to three hours later I noticed the clear coat along with the nail polish was chipping off it was too late they were closed by now so I went the next day first thing in the morning she didnt charge she did them so quick terrible job!! and she didnt put a gel clear coat like I had paid for since the beginning! I waited a long time for my nail polish to dry up specially because there drying area sucks! I took off and my nails were horrible she painted them so quick sure enough they started messing up and to top it off she left my nails so thin from the day I went in for my fill that the corners of my nails were breaking off. I chose to just break them off and do them again. This lady is horrible she has no idea how to do her job! My advice is if you go in ask for Tiger my friends nails are amazing! I personally am NOT going back ! I guess you get what you paid for. I thought of trying a new place for fun but never leaving my place TJ Nails on Oxnard Blvd ask for Nancy she's the owner and she's amazing she's quick and she knows what she's doing.
