I typically get my brows threaded and laminated here and I am always happy with the results. They are really professional and know exactly what they are doing when they laminate. Threading is always painful for me especially with my sensitive skin but they are quick and my brows are perfectly shaped after. I like how with the brow lamination service, the threading comes with before for FREE! So nice because then I don't have to worry about them being cleaned up. Also I have thin brows so they only thread what is really needed. I want a fuller look so they give me exactly what I want with a nice shape. I totally recommend coming here! Never really loved this place but used it a few times because of convenience. They were never actually friendly then today locked their door before closing and wouldn't let me in with multiple workers inside hanging out waiting for close. There are plenty of other threading studios to utilize no need to ever come back to this one. I have the correct business. My phone said 6:54 and I told whoever was at the register that there was 5 minutes and she shrugged at me. Poor business practice in my opinion. I completely understand if I were to walk in and request something that may take 20+ minutes asking to come back at another time. But I have never taken longer than 10 minutes with paying for an eyebrow touch up. I have been going to the Perfect Brows location in Newport Beach for a year now, and had no idea they have a Long Beach salon as well! Placed just off of 2nd Street in Belmont Shore, this location is small but efficient. They were busy on a Saturday morning, with about 10 ladies in front of me. They do not take appointments for threading, which is first come first serve. Fortunately, the queue moves quickly-I only waited about 20 minutes. Syeda did an amazing job on my eyebrows. If you have never had threading before, it is a hair removal method that does not require the application of any products to your skin. Using a precise technique, the tech is able to shape your brows into a, well, perfect shape with minimal pain. I will not lie and say it is completely painless-there are a few moments where it feels like having a rubber band snapped above your eyelid. But overall, it always looks better than waxing or tweezing. They accept all credit cards. Highly recommended. read more

I used to LOVE perfect brows. I'm sooo sad to leave this poor review! I've been coming here for years rachanna was my original brow lady & she always made my brows BOMB! She's gone, so I started going to Aysha. Ayshas days are all mixed up bc every time I come in they tell me something different. So I settled for someone else today, such a poor choice. My eyebrows are so thin I cried in the car. & I was very very specific in telling her to just clean and shape..... now it'll be a year before they grow back, if they do. Just heartbroken.. Then the owner replies to this review some generic message about how awesome all her staff is.... clearly there is an issue if multiple repeat clients are leaving poor reviews. Now the manager comments and says I have a vendetta against the company, how could that be when I left a previous (2years ago) that was excellent! I have been going here for years with satisfaction. However, the last time that I went in, the normal sign in sheet was not there. There was a big yellow "scan me" picture of a code. I am 59 years old I have not run into anything like this before. (Apparently you take out your phone go to your photo app like you're going to take a picture hold it up to this QR code and then the name of their establishment pops up you're supposed to tap on that takes you to their website you have to scroll around pick what you are there for and fill out a sign in sheet on your phone) I told the lady behind the desk that I didn't understand. She said something to me completely unintelligible and not in a kind way. Her accent was just so heavy I could not understand her. She made no attempt to help me. The guy behind me quickly showed me how to do it and as I was as I was typing in the last part of the digital sign in sheet on my phone she told the gentleman and his girlfriend behind me to go ahead of me. I was literally done one second after she said that. It's not like I was taking forever and confused. It was the normal amount of time for a person who was encountering a new sign in regime. A couple of minutes at most.But now the wait was so long to be seen and I had an appointment to get to so I had to leave. I found it extremely rude to let the people that came in after me go before me just because it took me maybe 1 to 2 minutes to figure out their new system. So I went back today. I believe in second chances. The same lady was there and I told her and the other woman that appeared to be the manager what happened and that I was not happy with it. The woman that had been rude to me said she was sorry BUT There were so many people in the shop that day she didn't hear. So she admitted no wrongdoing and she made absolutely no sense. The woman that seem to be in charge whispered to the person taking my money to take off a dollar. With no comments or apologies from anybody that appeared to be management. So I got a dollar off and nobody admitted that they thought they had done anything wrong. I tried to give them a second chance but I'm not going back. I was also disappointed that the young couple behind me didn't say something like" oh no this lady was first we will wait our turn" Rudeness and impatience. read more

I have to say I've been a regular for well over a year. As much as I would like to say my experience has always been wonderful, it simply is not true. I must admit that I was reluctant to write a review for perfect brows because I just wasn't sure how I felt. I was a regular customer of Hala's and my first few encounters were not pleasant. Like many of the other customers I found her to be abrasive and just simply unkind. It was as struggle because I was pretty satisfied with her work, but I can't deny that I cringed and braced myself before going in because she just wasn't friendly and was very demanding in a way that she kept insisting that she "did my brows great" or "the best" yet I found her to always be in a, seemingly, very bad mood. It was a very strange situation to be in. Albeit one of the most uncomfortable experiences I can recall. Needless to say it appears she is not there anymore. When trying to book my appointment I was told I could see Raj or Swati. Swati ended up being the only artist available and the receptionist assured me she was great. BOTH her and Raj were exquisite. I was nervous because I felt like I typically left the place feeling so ambivalent. Should I return? This felt weird, but my brows looked good. It was a relief to have a different experience. Swati was SO sweet and, surprisingly for the first time EVER, my threading was NOT painful. I couldn't understand it. Every single time before, even places I'd gone to other than perfect brows, I was ALWAYS in pain. I remember several occasions thinking "how could this possibly hurt more than a bikini wax,." Swati must have the magic touch. Hahah in all seriousness she is gentle and doesn't cause me an ounce of pain. She's very good about telling me exactly which areas I need to let my brows grow. She's pleasant and sweet and does a truly exquisite job. She is now my regular brow artist. :) I haven't been threaded by Raj but I hear she's amazing. As I reluctantly walked through the doors, I thought to myself, what is in the mystery box of eyebrows today? Is it the surprised brow? The angry brow? The curious brow? Every brow under the sun EXCEPT what I ask for. I have obviously had very bad experiences with "professional" waxing/threading. After years of protest, I finally decided to give up the sasquatch brow. I emphasized that I just wanted to clean up my brows and maybe shape 'em a bit and NOTHING else. They call it "Perfect Brows" for a reason. Perfect Brows has definitely been one of my favorite salons. Pooja works wonders with eyebrows. I'm very anal about who does them nowadays because I like the arch, but she never fails me. I know some salons do both eyebrows and don't ask how you want them and etc. Pooja does one first and shows you if the shape satisfies you and if you say yes, she will continue. Don't be timid to disagree with if you don't like the shape - those are YOUR eyebrows! I've always been to the OC branch and even though the Long Beach branch is a tad further, I was in the area, and figured why not. I was in need of one anyways. I also got a Brazilian wax, and requested Pooja. She's very gentle throughout the entire process and very communicative as far as if you just want a Brazilian or a Bikini - people have different preferences. I talked to get about wanting to get a spray tan before my trip to Vegas and she was so helpful and sweet and was willing to make time for me even though my schedule was super tight. She's super flexible and I definitely recommend going to her for spray tans, makeup or hair. She's very professional and treats you like you're her close girlfriend, which I loved! I also got my eyebrows and upper lip threaded and a Brazilian done by Raj! She is so sweet, beautiful and professional! More like 2 but a generous 3 because at least the wax was clean. Purchased a Brazilian through LivingSocial. My experience felt very rushed from the beginning. I had an appointment at 5:30 but the woman called a little before 5 and said, "Okay, you can come now." Luckily I was about 10 minutes away. As soon as I arrived, she was waiting out on the steps for me and as soon as we walked in, she yelled at the other worker through the door to hurry up because her appointment had arrived. I thought 1) That's rude because she's ruining someone else's experience & 2) My appointment wasn't for another 20 minutes, so leave them be. In the meantime, I kept feeling pressured to get my eyebrows done. "Where do you get your eyebrows done? You should come here." "Check our Yelp reviews, we do a great job," etc. Even after my wax, she said it again, after I had already explained my loyalty to the same eyebrow person. I believe the woman yelled at the other woman once more and then it was our turn. As soon as that door opened, she rushed me to get inside. She left to get something outside and I remember worrying that because the bathroom door and the wax room are so close and perpendicular, if someone was coming out of the restroom at the same time she was leaving, they'd have a clear view of my nether-regions because there was no towel to cover me as I was laying there. Same story coming back in -- so uncomfortable. Next, she explained that she was going to use large strips and she was going to do it fast so that it'll numb quicker. I should've known as soon as I heard that, it was not going to be a good experience. If there's anything I learned from my other waxes, smaller strips means more gentle and less pain. Well, this wax hurt like hell! Although she pumped up the music, danced to lighten the mood, and praised me continuously for how well I was pulling the skin, I could not wait to get out of there. When she was done, she made it a point to show me on her watch how fast she got it done. "See, look how fast" (I've had faster and less painful btw). While I appreciate her enthusiasm for her craft, my main concern is NOT how quickly the service is but moreso about how painful it was and it felt like I got ripped a new one! Her overall abrasiveness was very off-putting as it was and then she asked, "So, are you going to come back?" I wasn't even fully dressed yet when she asked and I was so taken aback, I could only respond with "Uh... maybe." What I really meant was, "No, I've had enough. Sorry." I came here with two others friends. We all got the Brazilian waxes. We assumed a Brazilian wax means "front" to "back," but this establishment only does the back when they feel like it. I've been going to the original Perfect Brows (Orange, Ca) down the street from my house since they've opened, and I so happen to work in Long Beach... I no longer have to zip down the freeway to get my eyebrows done in the Orange City location! Finding this Perfect Brows can be tricky if you've never been there before or unfamiliar with Belmont Shores 2nd Street. You will not be able to spot Perfect Brows if driving down 2nd Street. It's actually hidden on the corner of Argonne and 2nd Street behind Coffee Bean. If you are traveling west on 2nd, you will make a right on Argonne. If you traveling east on 2nd, you make a left on Argonne. Perfect Brows shares space with another salon. Hala took care of me by threading my upper lip and brows. There was a groupon deal for perfect brows so I decided to give it a shot. I used to work at Ziba so I would always go to my one girl there. So yes I was a little nervous when I decided to try threading with some one else. The first visit I sat down with Hala. She did a great job on my eyebrows, and made them look thicker than before. The second visit I had Raj. I think I'm gonna make it a point to go back to her for my eyebrows because she did a great clean up, and gave me some great hair and skin care tips on top of it. She listened to my concerns and went on to do a combination facial that was based on my on unique skin care needs. I came out feeling so clean and so relaxed. I went to Perfect Brows for the first time about a month ago and saw Hala. She did an amazing job. She kept my brows clean and natural. As a guy, I like to look like I didn't just go "do my brows" (if that makes sense) and she did exactly that. Swati is awesome for doing my brows. You don't need to make appointments, you can just walk in. I've been searching for a new place to get my eyebrows threaded and I decided to give this place a chance. Overall experience was great and the service is a plus! Swati took into consideration what I wanted for my brows: clean and reshape, she also checked to make sure I was okay. After the threading, she dabbed my brow area with rose water. Yay!!! I finally found my go-to place for my brows. I went to iSalon where my eyebrows were ruined. I had to grow out my eyebrows but even with that my brows were not the same. Swooti is the best. Amazing service, she made me felt really comfortable. Her threading was not as painful as I remember when done at other places. She gave me advice on how to grow back my eyebrows so she would be able to better shape them next time around. I will definitely be returning. I can't wait to see how my brows will look like once the hair grows back where it was over-threaded from iSalon. Downside: hard to find parking but that is true for all the shops @ 2nd St. read more

The best threading ever! I went to the new location in Long Beach and will never go anywhere else again. The threading is out of this world! They work with you to make sure your threading looks natural and stop and have you view the threading in the mirror so you can see it step by step. I didn't know there was a technique to threading but there is and its less painful the way it is done here. I also got a bikini wax and was really happy with the results and the time that was taken with me. Service is amazingly friendly and very professional. My first visit here being a long time long beach resident and can't figure out why I didn't know about this place sooner! Definitely a little secluded and not on second street directly. I came today (on a Sunday) and parking wasn't terrible and I was helped as soon as i checked in. My brows are more perfect than I've ever had them be! I wrote a review for the Orange location a while back but wanted to extend my props to the Long Beach location. Raj is still my girl. I won't let anyone else touch me, ever. She's amazing and I've sent everyone I know to her and they've all quickly been converted. She does Brazilians like a champ! It's quick, generally painless and I've never had any issues like ingrown hairs or finding stray hairs. It's flawless every time. She always makes sure you're super comfortable and as relaxed as you can be while getting hair ripped off your downstairs. Raj also threads my eyebrows and they look amazing. When I saw her the first time she told me they had been over waxed and were uneven. Now they look great and no more wonky eyebrow situation. Seriously she's a miracle worker. The prices are so much more reasonable than other places in Long Beach and they have stamp cards so eventually you earn a free wax or eyebrow threading. If you go anywhere else or don't ask for Raj you're nuts. read more
