I took my kitty in for a grooming here and I have to say I am so glad I did!! Everyone working there was so kind and treated her so well, she's a very very anxious cat and I was really scared to leave her but when I picked her up she looked beautiful and was so happy I think she loved feeling clean!!! A month or so later they sent me the sweetest, handwritten card with a picture of her after her grooming. I will absolutely be coming back!! I've already brought my other cat and my brother had brought his cat here, we love it!!! I just knew I couldn't clean her well at home, she's so nervous and would jump and scratch if I tried to bathe her, but the professionals at my pet garden do an amazing job. We have been taking our dogs here for years. The staff is great and would not take our Nui any other place for daycare or grooming.

I first want to thank the woman who works there that has the business logo tattoo on her arm. I'm guessing you're the owner. Last Saturday, we noticed our dog is showing signs of a UTI. We've called every vet office we know, even the 24 hour emergency ones to be able to get my 2 year blue nose pit checked out. They were all booked, couldn't get help from any of them. I've been to my pet garden before and figured I'd call them and see if they can help with anything. The woman recommended a product that helps with exactly what my dog had and It's been 2 days already and she's doing ALOT better. We had gone a My Pet Garden a few times to have a dog clean his teeth. The last time we came, they couldn't do a full clean because our day was a bit anxious. We were told that some dogs have bad days and we could try again next time. They suggested we give our dog something to calm him down. A few months later, I scheduled another cleaning. We called asking if it would be an issue and we were told no. The appointment was booked and when we arrived we were asked to wait. After 30 mins of waiting and also walking our dog earlier to tire him and giving him some calming melatonin treats, we were told that they would not service our dog claiming he had previously lunge at them last time. That was complete news to us. Our dog has never had a history of aggression let alone lunge or bite anyone. We were never told that he would need a sedative or they would not clean. This place had time to check and notify us of all of these things a month ago when we scheduled the appointment. This place was so unprofessional for wasting our time and turning us away after making us wait for our appointment . We weren't told that he had "lunged" at anyone last time we picked up him. We were told he was fidgety and they were only able to clean one side and we should try again next time as sometimes dogs just have a bad day. read more

I've used both their grooming and pet sitting services in past. I'll start this review with the what I like about My Pet Garden: 1) Their groomers do a good job and are consistent with their work. 2) The store is clean and well-maintained. 3) I've used their pet sitting services once or twice in the past and I was really happy with how they took care of my dog What I don't care for: 1) They're not the cheapest, which isn't a reason to give a negative review in itself, however, they have a tendency to change their rates/prices without giving you notice/letting you know before hand i.e. I brought my dog (she's a 10lb Chihuahua mix) in for a grooming today. The My Pet Garden staff waited until the time of pick-up to access an increase in their rates, without even letting me know or giving me notice beforehand. When I inquired why the price had increased by $10, I was given a half-hearted response by the store clerk that "management increases rates from time to time." 2) If your pet is over a certain age (mine just turned 11) and/or your pet has any medical conditions, they now have you sign an authorization/consent form at the time of check in. In addition to consenting to veterinary care in the case that your pet may need emergency treatment while in their custody, they've added a waiver provision whereby you agree to hold My Pet Garden (and their agents, representatives, third parties, etc.) harmless of ANY AND ALL liability regardless of whether the harm was foreseeable/unforeseeable, etc. Be sure to read thoroughly read the form before deciding to initial and sign it. read more

Workers are usually always really kind and we love coming here for dog treats and nail trims for my pup, but witnessed such a horrifying situation here today (1:45pm on 11/10/24). They have 2 lil puppies up for adoption at the front by the register, and while one of them was pooping, the other puppy started eating it, with the other one joining in shortly after. The cashier wiped up what was left with a bag, but the surface was still dirty and she didn't take out the two pups to clean it. The worker kinda nervously giggled with a customer that found it hilarious, which annoyed me even more. For a place that has a daycare service, I'm extremely concerned about their sanitary practices and the employees' responses to situations like this. This is in no way meant to be a rude review of any sort, but rather voicing my concern and raising a red flag regarding the lack of attention and care when it comes to the health of dogs that other parents are leaving under their supervision. Please please please do better in caring for the pups there, especially these 2 puppies that do not have owners and are counting on you to keep them healthy and strong until they find their forever home. As a customer, I am more than willing to wait patiently to be helped if you need to do something to ensure the safety of puppies in your care. read more

Let me just start by saying, the staff here is very kind and helpful. Needed to find a new groomer for my two cats and my sister recommended "My Pet Garden" She has been coming here for years, and is always satisfied. My current groomer who won't be named , didn't have the best appointment times and availability. Not a problem here! Times are great I took my babies in ( two separate occasions) My cats came out clean, and as detailed as a cat cut can look. I'm so happy I found this place and the staff really makes me feel like my pets have a safe clean and friendly environment to get groomed. read more

Took our dog there today for a thorough grooming. He is only 21/2 years old so this was only his second grooming. We were told they would have to do a deep combing and conditioning Xtra $20. We said ok because our dog has a lot of fur. Picked our dog up about 21/2 hours later and he could not wait to get out there. He seemed very uncomfortable and would not stand up. Tried to walk him a little to go potty but he would not stand up very long. He just look stressed. After checking him out we could see that they had shaved him way too close on his backend and he is very red and irritated back there. Called and they did not seem very concerned. Not sure If this store is under the same ownership or not but something has change. We have been shopping there for dog food for many years. We will still buy our dog food there but never have our dog groomed there again! read more

They did a great job bathing/cutting my 50 lb doodle and offered to do a teeth cleaning for extra $10. It still came out to half the price of my former groomer. My name is Christopher. And i first would like to say I never threatened anyone with violence. I never said anything about hurting anyone. And you can leak that tape and let the public hear how unprofessional and dismissive and negligent those ladies were with my babies. I've taken my girls to you many times. And in the past we never had an issue . Except this last time my lola was soo scared of whatever you guys had to do yo brush her teeth. She didn't wanna be touched or played with for a while .and the first thing I said to those ladies was you don't have to brush her teeth .because whatever happened lats time it scared my doggo. I asked for a simple wash , clip, cut for Molly only , because summer has her a bit hot. Sol I asked for her to be cut a little lower than last time . And the lady said ok . And I left my girls in confidence with you guys . When I picked them up they were both visible shaken up. Molly wouldn't let me out her down, lola , who only needed a wash and clip was physically upset and asked up. And ma'am I thought they just wanted to go home. When I got them home I had to clean dried blood off Molly's ear . The laceration on her ear wouldn't stop bleeding .and when I looked at Lola's stomach and thigh I was taken aback by the red marks and irritation on her belly. When all she needed was a wash . I called the store and the lady who answered the phone ignored my ladies number multiples times . Yet answered mine on the first call.. when I explained to her what happened. She said it was akin to shaving with a razor . Like "an accidents happen" kinda way. All I wanted to know was how... and why... and who... hurt my babies. I said I understood it could of been just a bad day man. But going online and seeing another review of the same treatment hurt. I even asked who was this groomer another dog was hurt why is this happening. And she replied it was a pre existing Condition. Soo I one day 3 dogs get hurt at your shop . 2 of them being my girls . Who the lady said in that conversation were perfectly fine. Soo what are they injured. And who did this is what I feel.like not only myself . But over doggo parents out there. Soo he doesn't do it again. Because today your company allowed a person to hurt my babies . And all you can offer is the bare minimum. Of course we wanted our money back our dogs weren't taken care of. They were hurt. And all I wanted to do was ask why . I asked that lady on the phone . No ego . No pride. Who did this to my doggos. And she said that I couldn't come down and see the person who did this. And I have no intention of hurting anyone . I wanted to ask this person human to human why man. I told that lately I'm being as humane as I could. But man to woman please tell me who did this . And they dismissed me as if it was just a shaving accident . I think the community deserves better. From a company we spend our hard earned dollars to support. I dont wish any ill will on anyone man I just want to know who did this to my babies. And have the ability as a human being to get a solid answer. Without threat of lawyers . Man I have a daughter on the way . I MISS THIS PLACE SO MUCH. To the point where I sometimes I watch their live camera feed to see what's going on in our fave neighborhood spot. Also, the fact that they have a live stream camera is a huge plus. I have never found a place that cares about pets and is so clean. Such a great local spot for your furbaby! I've been taking my Shiba here for about two years. My furbaby has been here for boarding and grooming. I've researched high and low for a boarding spot in the SGV area and toured a couple of places before deciding on one for my dog. I found this spot to be clean and safe. I love how they have a live webcam, there's always someone in the pen with the dogs. The dogs are treated with affection and definitely cared for. Bonus Tip: add on a bath after your pet's boarding sess they send your pet home with a cute bow tie or bandana. So cute!! read more

Took my puppy here for her first grooming, and they were so patient with her!! She was barely 4 months so she was very scared and nervous. They took their time with her and she ended up calming down so they were able to give her a fresh cut! Although I don't really like how they shaved her face, the rest of the body was great. Brought my puppy here for the first time for her grooming and the staff is very friendly and they did such a great job with my puppy's haircut! I really like that they ask me some very thorough questions of how I really want her haircut to look like. Ive been going to MPG for awhile now and have built such a wonderful relationship with them. My pet garden is a family friendly atmosphere which I love. Our three dogs we have are our kids and we love them so much. The staff here are so amazing. Christina and Leanne are the sweetest girls. I 100% completely trust leaving my dogs here with them. They treat all the dogs that come in as if it was their own. They are so gentle and loving! It's so hard nowadays to really have people that you can trust and feel at ease with. They have a good assortment/brands of dog/pet food you can choose from. They also have toys, treats, doggy beds, crates, leashes/collars, and clothes they sell here. One service they provide is grooming. This includes haircut, bath, expressing of the anal glands, and nail clipping. Grooming costs vary depending on the size and weight if your pet. If you want teeth cleaning that would be an extra $10). Blueberry facials ( which leave your dogs face smelling so fresh and clean), are of extra costs as well. I love how MPG adds a special touch and always puts a handkerchief around the neck. So our pets look extra spiffy. Another service they offer are doggy daycare and boarding your pets. Before I would be scared to leave my dogs with anyone other than a family member if we go away on vacation and not able to take our pets with. But honestly I would definitely trust my three dogs with this great group here bc i kniw they would treat my pets like their own. I know my babies would be in great hands. I believe they also offer doggy training classes. My third dog I actually adopted from MPG about a little over a year ago and couldn't be any happier with Paddington. He is an absolute joy and gets along so well with his two brothers Winston and Broxton. There are no negatives or cons when it comes to this place. They are so professional and kind. We brought in our 1 year old puppy for a hair trim, this was our first time at this groomer (she usually keeps her hair 1 inch long when we get grooms), we specifically asked to keep her ears and tails long, AND we showed a photo of what we wanted from a previous cut. We are SO DISPLEASED. I was in such shock picking her up, I didn't make a fuss in the store. However when we called back to ask exactly what happened, we were told "We will call you back" and haven't heard a thing. The grooming appointment was on Sunday, we called back Monday, and today Friday we still haven't heard back to get an explanation of how this happened. How in the WORLD, when we specified EXACTLY what we wanted, could they get it so wrong?! And not only that, they kept her tail long when they shaved everything else? Including the ears? Nothing makes sense and we are EXTREMELY unhappy. We didn't pay, but we also didn't get a good reason for why this happened. Their negligence is abysmal. We will NEVER return. THIS REVIEW IS FOR THEIR DAYCARE SERVICE. DO NOT BRING YOUR BABIES HERE! Here's a breakdown of the customer service I received from MPG. I purchased their $900 package for 40 visits. Note that this is not the first daycare facility he's been to. My dog has been socially active with other dogs in daycares ever since he was done with all his shots at about 8 months. He is now almost 2. He's one gentle Shih Tzu who isn't aggressive AT ALL. He NEVER had any issues at any other daycare other than MPG. On his perhaps 7th visit, he was attacked by God knows what dog. Nobody in the daycare noticed the gashes the whole time and left him in the room with other dogs till the end of the day. I didn't get a call/text, surprisingly not even mentioning anything to me upon picking him up. THEY HAD NO IDEA!!! I noticed one wound right away, questioned one of the staff. She applied some ointment and called it a day. After getting home, I noticed yet, another gash just in the back of his neck while bathing him. I waited out, applied more ointment. The very next day, he refused to eat. I finally took him in the vet as I was getting concerned if it was getting infected. Paid about $200 to cover everything for this nonsense. MPG did absolutely nothing knowing my dog got injured on your property where your employees should be looking after my dog. Why am I paying you guys if my dog was going to get hurt? Oh, not once they offer to cover some of the vet cost. Talking about a great business right? After the whole ordeal, Cookie obviously couldn't make it back to the daycare till the gashes completely heals. Never once anyone called to check up on Cookie. Do they really care about your dog? Obviously not. Not to mention they only have one small room for all size dogs. I don't doubt the gashes were caused by bigger breeds. Regardless, I demanded a refund, other wise I would take them to court because this is NOT acceptable. By the way, I also wanted to save some grace for Nikki as she is the only staff who actually cared for Cookie. When I picked him up and noticed the wound, the manager Jennifer did not even come out to do any explaining. All she said to Nikki was, I didn't see anything and I'm here all day. Then you're obviously not paying attention, Jennifer. How do you miss gashes like this? Here's the kicker, they kept claiming they informed me about Cookie's injuries upon picking up. Get your story straight before trying to push the blame around, especially onto your paying customers! Duh! The injury happened in MPG, there's no excuse. I understand minor scratches happens from playing with other dogs but this type of gashes are definitely NOT from playing. Regardless, I got my refund as they made a "exception". That's after charging me full price at $35 per day versus what my package came with. Oh, best of all? 5% ($45) credit card processing fee. What kind of shit is this? Talking about some greedy ass offers where they'll gyp you in every way possible. I got $603 back in the end after 7 days of daycare. (charging rental collar fee of $7, complete bullshit) I never asked you guys to put a collar on him. He doesn't wear a collar for a reason. Wtf?!? Are you guys just money hungry? Lacking in business? After this experience, I totally see why. I just didn't want to deal with this anymore so I held my tongue and agreed to the amount. Extremely insincere, but nickel and dime me. Unbelievable. How upsetting is this? It's unfortunate how this incident went down. I know this elder lady name Martha who also comes to MPG. She told me the owner (Ruth) is very lovely and understanding. Now is she really understanding? Take a look at the treatment my dog and I received from this greedy business. Shame on you guys. If you want to avoid this type of treatments, avoid MPG. There are plenty of daycares in the area where your fur babies will be safely cared for. Think twice before pulling the trigger here because it's your baby's life in danger. read more

***warning, long post****Late post***** I made an appointment for my 10 month old teacup yorkie for a full groom. The appointment was scheduled for 3pm on 7/17/21. I arrived early, the staffed was nice, and the store looked cleaned/organized. Everything was going well. I advised the staff what I wanted for Ripley's hair cut. Nothing too fancy and all I really asked was for them NOT to cut off the top of her hair because I was growing it out. By 3:10pm she was in there hands and I left to get something to eat. 4:30pm came and the groomers called me to let me know that they would have to go shorted on the cut than what I had originally asked for due to matting underneath her arm and legs. Which was understandable and I didn't mind. It was 5:30pm and I still hadn't heard from anyone. I went back to the store and waited outside for a bit. 6pm came and I unfortunately had to go in and check on Ripley, I was already late for work, and Ripley wasn't even done yet. When they finally brought her out, you can tell she wasn't finished. Her frame around her mouth/face wasn't done and it was uneven. But what hurt me the most was that they ended up cutting the top of her hair. That was so devastating to me. I was maintaining and growing out the top of her hair since she was puppy. But there was nothing I can do about it at that point and the staff didn't really seem to care about my disappointed. I'm not one to be picky, but that was honestly the one think I was very specific about. That evening after the groomers, Ripley ended up throwing up. I didn't think much about it and figured maybe she had a long and stressful day. The next day no vomite, but I did notice her bitting on her sides. Still, I didn't think much about it. By Thursday night, she threw up again. Very yellow foamy stuff. She was still eating, drinking, and acting like herself. She then puked again the following night on Friday. I couldn't figure out what was going on with her and I was observing her very closely. Saturday she was fine, then on Sunday she threw up again. At that point I notice she was still bitting on her self and she would throw up that same day soon after. I decided to take her a bath thinking maybe whatever products was used on her at the groomers was not sitting well with her. Perhaps she was allergic. After I showered her she was fine! All good like nothing ever happened. No more puking or itching! I was so relieved. Sorry, long story, but I believe my overall rating had to do with poor time management, unfinished work, unable to follow the one instruction I had for them, and possibly causing harm to my girl. I will admit that I did not report this to the groomers mainly because I really didn't have any solid proof. But I know Ripley, and she's never had any reason to get sick like how she did. I don't have anything against My Pet Garden, I'm sure this is a great place for other dogs, is just not for my dog. I can't risk her getting sick again, therefore I would be looking for a different grooming location. read more
