Do not recommend this location they definitely overcharge like crazy on the Keto dog food that is called Bones & Co. 2 bags of the keto dog food cost $178 not worth the price but I care about what I feed my dogs. Ever since Gracie came into my life, a name I heard my neighbor's calling her, I've been trying to get her little things here and there to make her life better. As I type this, I see the cloud cat tower she's used once while getting a delivery alert for the outdoor house I bought her. So when I was at Whole Foods recently, I noticed this pet store right next door. With time to spare, I meandered in to see what offerings they had. Their dog selection is the majority of the store with two rows for felines and even less for other types pets you might have. Holy smokes! I'm not from Arizona, but I'm pretty sure their stuff is waayyyyy over priced. Way way overpriced. Every time I go to another state, I look for pet stores to buy treats and toys for my pups. I found them on yelp, and thought cool, there's a 15% off coupon when you check in. Even with the 15% off coupon it's still expensive. Treats I've seen at other stores is $4-5; I saw it at this place for $12! Like what!? Toys at this place was over $12, when I've seen them at other stores for at most $7. I left real quick and found another place down the street. read more

I brought my two Australian shepherds in to get a quick bath. Usually we go to barking dog, but they were going to close before we could make it. The cost of the bath was $14 for 15 minutes. The shampoo and conditioner did not smell and left my dogs smelling like wet dog. The dryer is not strong enough to properly dry the dog and they give you a very small towel. The brushes available were chewed on and worn down. This dog wash is in the aisle of the store so it is not private, and if you have a reactive dog, it can be very dangerous. We will not be coming back. We will stick to barking dog. read more

Holy crap, their food is ridiculously overpriced. I understand sometimes certain situations require a markup, but double the price is ridiculous. Not to mention, I read a review stating that their food is more fresh, so tell me why my bag of the EXACT SAME food from a different store (I'm dog sitting for my sister and she gives her dog the same type of food) looks more fresh than the bag I bought for DOUBLE THE PRICE. The one I have looks all oxidized and stale. I don't want to return it because I threw away the bag containing the food (I put his food in a sealed container, specifically so it won't get stale) so I don't have any proof and I literally had no food for him and the store where my sister bought her food is in Buckeye and I struggling to find a store around here that carries this brand and the flavors my dog likes. Regardless, never going back here. And for reference I purchased a 5lb bag of Puppy gold Fromm Family for about $26 (normally priced at the other store in Buckeye for $13!!) and lamb flavored canned foods from the same brand for around $4.80 and they're usually around $3 at the other store. read more

Came here to use their dog wash at $10 for 10 min. There are buttons on their dog wash machine that are for soap, rinse, conditioner, blower etc. I asked the attendant where was a brush or some implement to wash the dog with? He said there wasn't one, that they didn't provide one. So apparently it's your dog, your hands and 10 minutes for $10 on there wash machine. Won't be going back. read more

Holy potatoes. Adopted a cat, went in here because of a voucher the shelter gave me. The energy in here is weird but what got me are the prices. The markups in here make it look like a tax write off because there's no way it can't be. I don't know why anyone would shop here. 100%-300% markups and expired foods. The store is fairly clean and organized and on occasion you will see the pet adoption events on weekends. Yes, as many have pointed out the prices are higher than the competition so I don't make this my regular stop for pet supplies. The reason I do shop here is to purchase one or two specific dog treats our dog absolutely loves. Those items aren't anywhere else locally so I make the purchase (around once every month or two). They don't offer nearly the level of discounts as the other large retailers do but I did receive my 10th purchase of Stellas dog food for free (a $35 item), so that was cool. I'd give this 3.5 stars but because of their convenience to our house and the number of niche products they carry (which I've tried and later ordered via Amazon) they get the 4. read more

I had been loyal to this store because they carried the brand of cat food I needed. The food was a bit overpriced but it was offset by the 10th bag being free. This store is a good 20 minutes from where I live and the only time I have "visited" the store was to purchase multiple bags of cat food. On your 10th visit you get 10% off. I somehow met the 10% 10th visit without hitting my 10th bag of food. That's impossible because the only reason I go there is to buy that food. Over priced (200% - 300% more than elsewhere) and poor service. I walked the entire store, passed 3 employees. Nobody greeted or said one word to me. I heard one male employee at the front talking to another about how there is usually just one customer in the store at a time. He then said that if someone else may come in he just says he's in the store alone and then people understand. Prices are outrageous. For example, a large dog kennel priced at $144 but can be purchased on Amazon.com or even locally for just $80. Brushes and accessories 50% or more. I will start off by saying I agree with everyone on the prices. They are way higher than the other stores or online retailers. I usually order my dogs food online and this time it slipped my mind so I had to find a local place to get his food. When I entered the store I was greeted and when I found his food another employee asked me if I was finding everything okay. I inquired about their price matching to make sure and she said they'll price match from anywhere. They were asking $18 more than what I normally pay for the food but they easily matched the price for me. As long as you walk in knowing that ahead of time, I think it's fine. The girl that helped me tried to push me to another food because she has had bad reviews on the one that I was there to purchase and I thought if there was such bad reviews then why are they selling it. I have been a regular customer of Pet Market now for three years and yesterday they lost my business. So I will admit to not writing a good review when I was shopping with them but then nothing really ever stood out. I gave them two stars because of my previous uneventful standard experiences. First and foremost they are overpriced (significantly). The dog food I buy Pure Vita was primarily sold online and by them. So prior to starting a subscription service I would pop by this store to get a small bag of food to cover me till my online order came. Again, the food was overpriced but I knew they matched (Amazon, Chewy and it Petflow). I used Petflow till recently. Over the past year, I started feeding my dog Stella and Chewys Freeze dried chicken patties. Again this product was hard to find but they always matched the price online usually $29.99 for a 14 ounce package. This stuff is pricey but my dogs love it and works great as a food topper. Anyways, I happened to be in the neighborhood and popped in yesterday to grab a bag as it was convenient and I wasn't sure if I would make it to my closest Pet Club (which is now carrying Pure Vita and Stella and Chewys). The store is always empty when I am there and walked right up to the register with the bag they have priced at $41. I gave her my number and she said ok and I validated the amount as $29.99 and she said "No" it is $34.99. I proceeded to start looking on my phone for the price online and the woman standing next to her says that includes shipping and handling. This is the first time I have ever heard that and honestly it was ludicrous. I proceeded to advise them that I would take my business to Pet Club and they said Ok, sorry about that. So shoutout to Pet Club, I got the larger package of Chewy and Stella's for $49.99 (cheaper than online), priced at over $60 at Choice Petmarket and my Pure Vita for cheaper as well than Petflow. Here's what I would have recommended to provide a better experience. "We will be happy to give you the price of $29.99 today but going forward it will be $34.99". I still wouldn't have come back but I probably wouldn't have written a review either. Sad as I prefer to support small businesses but when your way overpriced and you don't seems to care then I will go elsewhere. read more

I am very disappointed in Choice Pet Market. I went in there once today for my very first time and I will NEVER return. I called this afternoon to see if they carried a specific type of cat food that I was looking for. The gentleman who answered the phone immediately put me on hold, but after 10 minutes of waiting with no answer, I hung up and called back several times without an answer. I figured I would just head over to the store. Upon walking into the store, the tall, brown haired gentleman at the counter looked up at me, but did not say a word. No greeting. No hello. No nothing. Very bizarre. I then proceeded to wander around the store for a while in search of the cat food. No one helped me, even though I was completely lost. In response, I walked up to the gentleman at the counter and asked if they carried the food. Of course, they did not. I told him that I wished that he had told me that after I was placed on hold earlier without anyone ever answering back bothering to make a trip out there. I liked this place, unlike other customers have said quite a few times I didn't have to many problems with pricing or customer service. While the customer service wasn't anythjng spectacular I also didn't have many questions to begin with. They did have have a good selection of herbal supplements for dog's which is great as we use quite a few different ones. While it wasn't anything spectacular I certainly didn't see any of the problems everyone else seems to be mentioning. I would say give it a try and decide yourself, they also have a nice leash section. read more
