It's a small store but their shelves are stocked to the brim with a large selection of very well curated products. They have anything and everything you can possibly think of! Third time in a row that I have came into the store to try to get the food I usually get my cats for them not to have it in stock. As well as they no longer having the larger sized bag and now only carry the 4lb bag which does not last me very long. I typically try to buy two bags but most of the time there is only one on the shelf but now I have run into the issue of not finding it at all. I really enjoyed coming to the store but these past couple of times have just been horrendous in customer service with them just shrugging their shoulders and walking away from me. I really loved supporting this business cause I could come to an actual store even if that meant paying more for the bag of food. I've been here several times as it is more convenient than going to Petsmart, and I just go in really fast to buy cat treats, which are more expensive here but that's ok, I like to support local business and willing to pay extra for convenience. And it's a cute store and all, but..... A 20 pound box of Dr Elsey's cat litter was $30, when it's $16.99 at Petsmart. I did buy a box because I needed and was there, but I won't be buying that item at this store again. If we lived in Alaska or some remote rural village, I could understand the mark up, but this price is obscene. I stopped into My Pet Market to buy Lotus brand dog food for my little guy. Unfortunately, they were out of stock, but luckily for me, Zachary S was there to help. I told Zachary that my little guy (Bisbee) is very picky eater, and I am really concerned about giving him only the best ingredients. He showed me a different brand he thought I might like called First Mate and he even gave me a sample for Bisbee to try. Zachary showed me the ingredients for First Mate, asked me if the size kibble would work for my small dog, and let me know the schedule for the next delivery of Lotus just in case Bisbee did not like the sample of First Mate. Zachary S really cared that I left happy with my purchase, and he wanted to make sure that my dog was happy, too. By the way, Bisbee WOLFED down the sample. I got wonderful service from Jaxon the other day. He has made me a repeat customer for life. I got a rescue recently and she is not adjusting well to food treats toys or anything and I was having a very difficult time adjusting her to anything. One conversation with Jaxon and a bunch of food and treats later and she is a completely different dog. She loves the food and treats he recommended and she was severely underweight and she has now got some meat on her bones and it's all thanks to his recommendations. He is an excellent employee and has greatly helped me bond with my dog. Any issues I have he will be the first person I hope to see when I walk into your store because I know he'll have a solution. He is an outstanding employee and incredibly knowledgeable on all pets and breeds. He helped me out immensely and I cannot thank him enough for helping my pup. Sadly, my cat was overweight. After doing some research, I found a couple of food brands that would be perfect for his situation. Next step was finding a local business where I could regularly buy it; that's when I came across Choice Pet Market! After checking them out on Yelp, I decided to give it a shot. I will continue by saying since then, my cat Jonah has lost around 10 pounds, and his coat has been softer and shinier than ever before. Mehhhh....So I have 2 dogs whom I absolutely adore. I feed them a certain food, that's a higher end food, and I found this place as a vender. SO...I went. When I was living in Texas, as well as Florida, I found multiple stores that carried this bag for $87-$96 for a 25 pound bag. I figured I would be in the ballpark. I also needed some toys, so bam here we go. The first time I walked in, I wasn't greeted, and I literally did a full lap, no one said a word from start to finish. I passed 2 separate employees, and literally not a peep. So I didn't buy a thing, and walked out. Let's go to the next visit..Morgan helped me, was attentive, and amazing! What an asset! Anyways, that is the only reason this isn't a 1 star. So let's get to the details. The food I usually buy, and have for years was literally $130...I've been buying this in multiple cities and states for years, and have bought between $87-$96 a bag....the toys which I buy on amazon for $5-$7....$17-$23 in this store. It is INSANELY overpriced. Offensively...Morgan was kind enough to do a price match, and that's amazing, but she couldn't do the same for anything else but the food...So, for now on, I will be purchasing online, and I suggest you do as well, unless you want to overpay and have to show the staff how ridiculous it is so they can price match. How about instead of price matching, you offer the food, and everything else, at what the market charges? read more

My mother and I dropped in fairly close to closing time for some canine goodies. Anthony helped me find a bone for my 8 month old German shepherd and pointed my mother in the direction of some treats for her allergy-prone Bichon. Customer service like this doesn't really exist anymore. Anthony helped me pick through the bone selections to find the biggest one, and gave me a discount! He mentioned that they will price match if we come back and another store has the same item for less. I've never had a pet shop price match. I visited Pet Market less than a week after their soft opening and found the store was ready for a full-on Grand Opening (scheduled for late September). The staff was friendly and helpful and the shelves fully stocked. Given the limited square footage of the store, you're not likely to find the selection of that found in the larger chains, but there are some specialty brands and a refrigerated section which will appeal to finicky pets or those with special dietary concerns. Pet Market is the best place in Phoenix where they sell nothing but natural, organic, and holistic food for pets. I came in today for the second time at the store. The first time was back in December when I was looking for some Christmas gift for my cat. One of the staff asked me what kind of food do I give my cat. I told him that he is on a special prescription only food, Royal Canin Urinary ISO for life. My cat has urinary and tract problems. He knew right away what I was talking about. He showed me and educated me about an all natural cat food that they sell specifically for cats with urinary tract issues. He gave me a sample of the food. My cat loved the food and it smells good, too! It doesn't have that funky cat food smell. The only reason I never changed my cat's food was due to his issues and his vet told me that he has to be on the Urinary ISO food for life. Today, my cat ran out of food so I went back to the store for the second time. The guy who helped me before wasn't there, but a female staff showed me the same product. She was just as helpful and knowledgeable. Their prices are a bit higher as it is much smaller store compared to Petsmart and other chain stores, but Pet Market sells quality products. You get what you pay for, so they say. I would suggest to the owners though that they should have occasional sales especially for their loyal customers.
