Don't EVER DoorDash here. They suck. My soup is missing all the sides. Paid extra for salsa and got a half of a tiny container. Ridiculous!!!!!

Staff is friendly and the food like the beans, meat, rice are fantastic. Unfortunately the sope or there version anyway is so hard especially on the edges you can probably crack a tooth. The tortillas that are homemade are not soft but stiff. Will not be back, it really is too bad.

Ordered three queso birria tacos for $12.99+ tax. I could not believe how incredibly small these tacos were. You're basically paying $4 per taco. The consommé was extremely watery. Although the flavor was decent, I was extremely disappointed and I will not be going back.

Let me start this off by saying we tried Taco House last week and had a A experience (with the exception of jalapeños on everything even though I said none, especially for my 2 year olds meal) My husband ordered last night through Door Dash. WORST EXPERIENCE. My husbands Asada fries looked decent, except again there was a ton of jalapeños. Something we don't eat. I ordered fajitas. I opened my container to find beans (over salted, normally very good), rice (almost white and VERY bland) and for my "fajitas" thrrr was very little meat, what was there was fatty, and overcooked. The peppers and onions were just as over cooked. I made myself take a few bites before throwing it away. It was gross. At about midnight I woke up with the WORST case of food poisoning. We will NEVER eat here again. Quality control is soo important for a few business. If the food isn't up to par, cancel the order. The food that was served to me is absolutely unacceptable read more

We were recommended this spot by a coworker and it did not disappoint. This is my new favorite Mexican spot. So tasty. I got the 3 taco plate with rice and beans it was one of the best I've had in a long time. Prices were also reasonable. Definitely give them a try! read more

Was a little skeptical trying this place out only because of the lack of reviews, but I'm glad I was able to go out on a whim and tried it out anyways. The quesabirria tacos and quesabirria burrito blew me away! That orange spicy sauce on the top was DELICIOUS! My only issue was the consume. It was pretty obvious they were running out of it and to compensate the lack of....they did so by adding more water. read more

Great food spot when you're looking for authentic mexican food with a hint of american. I ordered the bacon shrimp asada fries and it was immaculate. All proteins were cooked great, covering a bed of fries with nacho cheese and guacamole. It took about 10 minutes for my food to arrive. I have nothing to complain about. read more

They should leave their hot sauces on the side. The juice that you dip your tacos in should be way bigger than a little container you can't even dip your taco in it! Prices are good we ordered other food it was good. Will be back to try other food but hope it's not going to be as spicy. I like spicy food just under my control not someone else's. It has very good flavor! Not good for take out, because the take out dishes dissolve before you get home and you have to fish out your food from the bag. Place needs more cleaning (he seats and front door). But they can cook! read more

First three times I've had this place it was AMAZING but the last 2 times I've ordered here it was terrible. I love 5 mins away got there when my food was ready. The short girl at the counter was extremely rude for no reason even while over the phone when I was ordering. I order the quesabirria tacos and the last 2 times I've ordered they were just half assed, dry and cold. How are they cold already when I live so close and eat as soon as I get home? Just terrible they need a better night staff I think. They don't even look like the quesabirria tacos in the menu at all and the first 3 times I've had them they looked EXACTLY like the menu photos. read more

Ordered a burrito supreme, made special to how I like it. Burrito was really good and tasted very fresh. Only complaint is that I had it delivered through door dash, and it was very cold. Nothing a quick nuke in the microwave couldn't fix.... Next time , I will just go pick it up myself. The food was delicious though. read more

Haven't eaten the food just yet but we ordered 3 quesatacos with consome and a birria burrito with consome via Yelp (grubhub).. no consome came with our food.. pretty disappointing. Wish we got what we ordered. Food is cold.. hopefully it's better at the restaurant.. Owner responded to my review which I definitely appreciate. I never want to be a bad reviewer so I am excited to try their food fresh to go (not grubhub). I tried my friends consome at work yesterday and it was delicious! Okay, Birria has exploded it the area. Almost every taco truck and taqueria in Modesto now offers it. This place though has been doing it for years and it's what they are known for, the tacos in particular. I've tried Birria at other places and there is no comparison. Aside from the flavor of the meat, they actually make the tortillas fresh in-house. If you're going to eat here get the quesabirria tacos. If you do then I bet you'll be back later in the week for more, they are that good! Unfortunately, the rest of the food here is just okay. The ambiance and service is lacking, but it's a taqueria and I usually get the tacos to go. read more

Doesn't look like much but wow, definitely disheartening food portions and lack of taste. I'm not too much of picky eater but let me just tell you that for the price of this delivery, I should just have cooked at home burnt eggs and sausage. Holy crap. (Pun semi intended) For starters I can't believe I hadn't heard of this place until recently . Note I typed recently and I've already eaten here four times . Everything here is amazing. (That I've had.) (my New Years resolution is to try everything on the menu at least once.) The tacos are absolutely delicious. And the freaking burritos . Dudes . When I lived in San Diego I told myself I'd never find a burrito as good as down there in the ol Modesto but this place has that burrito . I swear I think someone in their kitchen is from San Diego . I pay .55 cents extra for salsa sides because while my butthole is currently on fire as I sit on my porcelain throne typing this ..the spice is just absolutely worth it . All my friends (I only have two friends) love the birria stuff here which I refuse to try because I feel like it's too popular and I'm trying to hold on the lil bit of adolescent punk rock I have left in my body but dudes ...anything . Literally anything at this place is amazing . Please always get side salsas and enjoy the ride . They are 5.99 each and oh so delicious. The meat tasted SO FRESH and flavorful. The creamy jalapeño salsa had a NICE kick to it. All meals come with radish and pickled onions as garnish, but eating them with the meal made it even more refreshing and delicious. They need more than one location, but until then we will be back! I can't stop going here. Its the best Birria, I have ever had. I've had the Birria Tacos the Birria Burrito and the Birria quesadilla. So far, thats all I've had there and I'm stuck on everything Birria. I will be trying other things eventually. Its a decent clean place and the girls are friendly. I have'nt had to wait long for my orders and they put me at the front of the order line when they found out, I had ordered just a Birria Burrito, because I was waiting in my car. Angels! I ordered the Taco Salad Bowl. I will say this, it looked a whole lot different than the picture. The signs guacamole, cheese, beans, sour cream, and choice of meat. Nowhere did it say rice. The food didn't reach the mid part of the taco shell. No cheese, no guacamole and it had rice. Also ordered the three tacos and rice and beans for my wife. Beans were probably out of the can and the tortillas were hard. I also asked for water and was never given any. I came here because the reviews were pretty good.
