Not only does he know exactly what to do to make your eyes feel better, he will make you laugh so hard that you will forget you have that stupid eye tester on your face. Amber sat with me while I was trying to put contacts in for the first time by myself and was super encouraging and did not judge me that it took 15 minutes to get a contact in. There is a reason I drive all the way to Brownsburg to come here! Great people!

I was given a few samples to try out for contacts. On my third sample, I was good. We finalized my prescription, and I ordered the contacts. I received the contacts. They did not work. I contacted them to verify my prescription was correct. They said yes. I contacted the MFR and they sent me a new set of contacts. Still no good. I contacted the DRs office to get me prescription rechecked and they said "Sure, but it will cost you out of pocket". All I wanted was to verify the prescription. I was told nope. Sorry. So basically, I was out the cost of the contacts because they are unusable to me and unable to go see another DR unless I pay since I used my insurance visit for the year. Clearly, they did not update my prescription to the third sample and did not care to help me out. Plenty of other eye DRs out there.

They were very patient with my daughter even when she needed her eyes dilated. They're always quick, professional & friendly. Note that you will need an appt even if you need your glasses adjusted/ looked at so no walk-ins, but usually you can get in same day. Highly recommend for frames, eye exams & pediatric eye care!

I have histoplasmosis scarring on the back of one eye, and the doc walked me through my eye images, explaining what that means and how it could potentially affect me in the future. I grew up going to yearly visits knowing I had this issue, but no one has ever taken the time to talk me through if, which I appreciate as someone with a working knowledge of anatomy. I want to know as much as I can about my own medical info, so I am really over the moon. Highly recommend!

I will probably need cornea transplants down the line, but will cross that bridge when I get there. I also have known 4 people that have committed suicide because of botched LASIK. It was shocking to me today that when I took my daughter out of school to visit Target Optical in Avon Indiana to get her first pair of glasses, that their new patient uptake form asked if you are interested in LASIK. I inquired immediately as to why this would be the case, and the absolute rudest guy on earth said it was to refer those that want it. I do not participate in companies that get kick back for this, and there is no reason to refer anyone that is interested in LASIK to anyone else unless a kickback is involved, why refer someone who can get injured when not referring anyone guarantees no harm? I informed them I have had about 9 different eye surgeries because of this, and why in the world would they ask this question in their new patient uptake form. I was asked to leave, and they would not see me or my daughter. It was then a fight with that same rude guy to get the school excuse slip to give to my daughter's school to return her after. I will now need to take her out again to see an eye doctor at a later date. Thank you to that wonderful woman who did give me the school excuse slip that is required by law to get my daughter out of school for that visit which we were ejected from. One person that works there was a normal functioning adult. I tried to get the forms back in order to take a picture of them for this review, and that guy no longer allowed me access to that paperwork. We are extremely disappointed with the way MyEyeDr. handled a problem with a very expensive pair of…read moreglasses. My friend Rick purchased progressive transition glasses at the MyEyeDr. Avon/Raceway Road location. The glasses cost more than $700, and they were not right from the beginning. Rick is a professional truck driver, so clear and accurate vision is especially important to him. Rick returned to the office more than once because the glasses were not working properly for him. He was repeatedly told that they simply needed to be adjusted, but the adjustments did not correct the problem. I eventually contacted MyEyeDr. customer service. I was told that the glasses would be remade and that Jennifer, the manager at the Avon location, would be notified. When Rick went to the office and spoke with Jennifer, he was told he needed to have another eye examination before the glasses would be remade. Rick did exactly what was requested and obtained another eye exam. Then we were told that MyEyeDr. would NOT remake the glasses because the new examination resulted in a new prescription. This is what is so frustrating: Rick complained that the original glasses were not right. He followed the instructions he was given, including getting another eye exam, and then the results of that required exam were used as the reason not to remake the glasses. We weren't asking for free glasses or anything unreasonable. We simply wanted the expensive progressive glasses we had already paid for to be made correctly. When a customer spends more than $700 on prescription glasses, reports a problem, repeatedly returns for adjustments, contacts customer service, and then follows the manager's instructions to obtain another examination, I believe the company should stand behind its product and make a genuine effort to correct the problem. Unfortunately, that has not been our experience with MyEyeDr.
