I had a very frustrating experience ordering my contact lenses here. When I placed my order, the staff member made a mistake and only ordered lenses for one eye. Because of that error, my insurance benefit -- which only covers a one-year supply -- was used incorrectly. Now I'm left without lenses for my other eye and no way to reorder through insurance. To make matters worse, the prescription/expiration dates were not handled correctly, and both eyes should have been processed together for the same period, but they were not. I'm also very disappointed that there was no support available over the weekend to fix an issue that was clearly caused by their staff. This situation could have been avoided with proper attention and care. Overall, this experience has been stressful and inconvenient. I would strongly recommend double-checking your order before leaving, because mistakes here can have serious consequences. I wrote a one-star review on 10/10 and they apparently took it down. After getting several texts that my appointment was that day, when I showed up (I drove an hour in rush hour traffic to get there), I was told my appointment was cancelled, and the attendant was neither apologetic or sympathetic at all. If I would have done that to them, they would have charged me. After leaving my first review, they responded and asked me to reach out to them at a Website ... Saw they do walk ins. Need to order pair of glasses. When I arrived I was told "everyone" was going to lunch! Nothing on website or door signs about closed for lunch. Went to Eye Specialists across the street. Saw me immediately and took great care of me. I guess "My Eye Doctor" doesn't need any more business. read more

It went Well. I had a short wait to pick up my new pair of glasses. I have been going to this location for at least 10 years! The staff is really nice and friendly. They make you feel comfortable. They explain everything before they begin. Make sure that you are comfortable and understand. read more

Today is 10/10. I arrived for my appointment on time after driving an hour to get there. The young woman at the desk promptly told me that they left a message on 10/1 (they didn't) saying they needed to reschedule. Since then, I have gotten multiple text messages verifying my appointment, the latest one as soon as yesterday. When I told the girl about all this, she made it abundantly clear she didn't care and just told me again I needed to reschedule. When I asked her why I continued to receive text messages verifying my appointment she said, "That's because you were on overflow but you need to reschedule." So to recap...I was supposed to know that my appointment was cancelled even though they never told me...and even though they continued to send me messages. And how dare I inconvenience the girl at the desk. If I had pulled this same crap on them, they would have charged me. I waited five weeks to get in here, so they apparently have plenty of customers. They made that clear to me. I am only sorry I had to give them one star. Do yourself a favor and run far away from this place. Don't walk. Run!! read more

Establishment is great for frames & lenses. Stopped using the facility for exams they were so backed up on appointments started going to another eye doctor. My eyes have to be checked every 6 months and this facility was backed up for over a year. Now they call & call trying to get me to come back but I'll only go for frames & lenses. It was interesting to see all the decor took a min to vote..only employees entered.. they had some great ones.. read more

Dr. Larue (pronounced La-Rue) was absolutely wonderful when I had an eye emergency. I was in the middle of a month-long road trip when I broke a bowl and got tiny pieces of glass in my left eye. I called around frantically trying to find someone to see me that day as the ER doesn't treat eye injuries. Dr. L worked me in within 2 hours of calling and helped me. She even worked me in the next day to check everything out one more time before I left the area to our next destination (I wasn't the one driving that segment of the trip ). Armed with eye antibiotics and eye wash, I was able to get back to my vacation! Thank you Dr. L!!!! read more

Very friendly- Daryl was exceptional in adjusting and fixing 3 pairs of my glasses that were crocked. He provided 3 new hard cases with cleaning cloths inside each and in one he included a mini bottle of eyeglass spray cleaner. Then he placed them in a small, easy to carry bag. Super white glove treatment! Oh and by the way, he was covering for the person who was on vacation. Exceptional service Daryl. This EyeDr office had the best comments with a 4.7 * from the many around; they had the best score. I certainly look forward to go back. read more

If you have autoimmune related eye issues go somewhere else because they are clueless and treat you like you're crazy. I have a previous diagnosis of Sjogren's and CMV, but this doctor wouldn't even acknowledge them. He was gaslighting me every time. I was going weekly for a couple of months and after all those appointments the doctor said the best he could do was Xiidra drops, and they don't help. My eyes are crusted shut every morning, but I couldn't get them to run any tests at all. When I pushed him he told me they can only do tests at the Winter Haven office. There must be a better way to diagnose eye disease than just guessing. The girls that work there are mean. I misplaced an appointment card and they made the mistake of not putting me on the calendar so they didn't believe me and treated me like dirt. They shuffled me around from room to room for a couple of hours. I'm in pain and suffering and don't appreciate being mistreated by mean girls. Doctors, and their employees, need to be reminded that they are working for us. They are getting paid to treat us like dirt. It's not acceptable! This place seriously triggers my PTSD. read more

I got a pair glasses but I didn't use it. took in adjusted it and I told him that it didn't seem right cause I was getting a headache, but they just gave me another appointment and that was it and I've been having these glasses for a whole year doing nothing I had to use my old ones, now I have to get a new pair glasses and I'm thinking of going somewhere else to get it. We had a 4:00 and a 4:15 appointment and I called this morning to move them up a bit. The receptionist told me that I could come in at my convenience and she'd squeeze me in, but there were no guarantees. They got us in so quickly! The MyEyeDr facility in Haines City Fl. does not honor the insurance benefits allowed by CarePlus Medicare. Even after Careplus assured them they were SUPPOSED to add these benefits MyEyeDr refused. This is not a company you should do business with! The manager there is a very sweet lady but her hands are tied. read more

On December 12/14/22 i when to check the status of my contact lenses, and the employee Trey Sherman was the person that attended me, as i explain to him that i was picking up some contact lenses to check if they arrived, he responded to give my name and birthday to check, I explained that i been waiting since February 2022 and until now am still waiting, cause the first time I went they prescribe 2 glasses and contact lenses i had to paid $950.00, one to see from far, another pair was for reading and the contact lenses, but when i when I couldn't see with none of them, the another employee told me to try first and if still couldn't see to come back so I called and they gave another appointment another day to correct the problem, again when i came back another day i try them still I couldn't see, so I called and explain and still I couldn't see so they consult the eye doctor and she told this employee Carter that they will give me another pair with my old prescription so in the meantime they never corrected my 2 pair of eye glasses and when I when on 12/14/22 this employee was judging me as why I didn't come before, and I explained again that they gave me some try out and I told him I did and Carter told me that the doctor was going to order another with my old prescription, but then he started to be rude and he started to raise a little his voice and started to talk to me in a bad tone and very unprofessional, saying well carter doesn't work here no more, How do I know if she work there or not she the person who told me the respond of the doctor and it was going to take a while cause my prescription was high and take time. so, the fact is this was not my fault and then talk to me in a disrespectful way, I did not appreciate it so he when in the back room and then when back again to another room came back and told that he was going to be deliver by mail, but before i Left I told him that he needs to learn how to treat and talk to a customer and he can saying that he was not rude and he was, He shouldn't be working in the front desk if that's way he going talk to you in a rude matter, needs to take a little class of better education as how to treat a customer. Trey Sherman, you need to respect older people and a lady. The other employee feminine was very nice and very polite but this employee needs to work that attitude. I do not recommend this place. Next day receive a call saying this was not a real appointment and need to schedule me the following week? Guess what if you can't even schedule an appointment for a new patient correctly then your care for the patient must be on the same level not knowing your left from right, poor care! read more

Took my son to get glasses Jan 20th 2015. Was told wrong frame was sent back and a rush was put on his glasses. It's now Feb 16 and still no glasses for my 6 year old. They blamed my insurance companies lab for the mix up. Not so sure about that story I think they sent the wrong frame and don't want to own up to there mistake.
