    Efficient, Professional, and Excellent Custom Frame Service…read more Had a great experience at MyEyeDr in Wake Forest. Check-in was fast and efficient, and the exam itself was even quicker without feeling rushed. Everything moved smoothly and professionally from start to finish. Dr. Reiman arrived in the exam room in what was probably one of the fastest turnarounds we've experienced with any OD. She's very personable, easy to talk to, and clearly explains her assessment while providing strong, confident recommendations. You can tell she knows her craft and genuinely cares about patient understanding. A special shoutout to Devin, the optician, who was incredibly knowledgeable and patient while helping us with custom frames. We brought in three Chanel frames, and she took extra care to make sure everything was handled properly and fit just right. Her attention to detail and expertise really stood out. We're currently awaiting the return of our custom-ordered glasses, and based on the experience so far, we're confident they'll turn out great. Overall, a seamless, pleasant experience. Would definitely recommend this location to anyone looking for quality eye care and attentive customer service.

When…read moreI arrived at the assigned time of 2:40 PM, the receptionist said, "I left you a message at 9 AM this morning." (I had no text, vm, missed call or email.) She said since she did not reach me, she canceled my appointment. When I told her I received no message, she became quite rude and said "Well, I left you one." No apology. Nothing. What good is an appointment, if the office does not honor it? I included a screenshot of the confirmation emailed the day before. There was no mention of any further steps required. I have been going to this office for ten years. I guess they don't need my patronage.

    I really wish I had read the other reviews before I gave this location my time, energy, and money…read more This is my first and last time visiting the Wake Forest location! I ordered my glasses on October 9th. Today is November 11th. The first time they were received, I saw two of everything. The lady who helped me with the try on advised me to "just wear them until my eyes adjust!" I said no! I'm leaving them here. I refused to put me or other in that kind of danger! She also said she confirmed the prescription was correct. I had to schedule a follow-up appointment to have my eyes examed a second time. During that visit, I was told something was definitely entered incorrectly. So the glasses had to be sent back to be corrected. I just went back to pick them up, and the vision was blurry. The receptionist was very kind but advised me that Kim would have to assist with adjusting them. The fit wasn't the issue. It was my vision. Kim was on lunch, so I gave the receptionist the bag with the new glasses and told her I would like a refund. She nor Kim was able to help with that, so I was told to call on Monday morning. I have been wearing glasses for almost 30 years & I've never experienced this before! At this point, I am OVER trying to correct the issue with this location!

    For the last 12 years, I have been going to another location which was closer to where I live. Even…read morewhen it was under a different name. It seemed like after Dr. Batey ( sp) left that office a few years back customer service went downhill. I will not mention that location but my last 4 visits left me frustrated to say the least :(. After my last visit, I decided that I would take my daughter to another location to look for new glasses. We first went to the Crabtree location and Victoria was awesome and helpful; however, there was not a lot of inventory there for my teen :). Beautiful store, just smaller :). We then went to the Six Forks location and I will always be a patient there moving forward. The manager was extremely accommodating and Stephen ( who helped us) was awesome! Stephen took his time with us on two separate days. He was honest with feedback, fast and efficient. I should repeat that, "Fast and efficient." I cannot say how much I appreciate a place that is on top of things along with offering incredible customer service. This location has it, and I know It is a rare find these days. My family and I will definitely continue going to this location in the future. My past location was only a 5 minute drive; however, it is definitely worth it to me to drive the extra 20 minutes to this practice!

    It has been 6 weeks since my eye exam. A pair was ready for pick about a week later. Double vision…read morecorrection was in the prescription. The glasses did not correct the double vision. I was told that the lab made a mistake. The glasses were sent back to be replaced. After another week or 10 days I was told my glasses were ready for pick up. Still seeing double vision. The vision was somewhat better but still experiencing double vision. Sent back again and I was assured they'd be correct. Less than a week later I got an email saying the glasses were ready. When I got there the glasses weren't. I was told I got the email as a computer glitch. Tuesday when I called I was told the glasses had come in Monday. I waited until today (Friday) to pick them up. Still didn't correct the double vision! They wanted to schedule me for another eye exam. In the 60+ years I have never had to have a second eye exam. BTW I'm not a fan of remote eye exams. The exam was conducted from a site unknown. Interaction was via video. I asked for a refund since I have zero confidence in this practice. They said I couldn't get a refund for the exam. I seem to recall somewhere in the mumbo jumbo of disclaimers that was mentioned. I have their prescription from the original exam. I will visit a dependable eye doctor and have him compare the MyEyeDr script with his results. If I could give zero stars I would. The people in the office are fine. I scheduled my appointment and gave my insurance information. Upon again I gave my insurance information on the registration forms. The front desk told me what was covered by my plan. I went back and Dr Raess was very good. Shevwas professional and I was pleased. I was sent back out front and found out they did not stock contacts ... even my common prescription so they would have mine shipped in ... 5 to 7 days. I come back and go to settle things (they had my insurance already) and instead of the 6 months supply my insurance was suppose to cover I was billed for a year ... an extra $222. I figured I was there and would need them so I went on and paid for them ... a $257 bill paid in full that day. About a month later I get a bill for EVERYTHING because the insurance filing went wrong. For 2 months I chased insurance things down with no help from MyEyeDr because all billing is done in a 800 phone service center which I believe is offshore ... NO HELP FROM THE LOCAL OFFICE! I think I've finally got things straight and the insurance will handle the balance. Another month passes and I get another bill ... after I paid $257 upfront which was supposedly was the balance ... for another $162 because the insurance didn't cover the fitting and the amount of lenses I was told it did. I try to contact MyEyeDr but again get pushed to their 800 phone service center and again receive NO HELP. I call the local office and left messages asking for someone to return my call ... 2 DAYS later and they have yet to return my phone call. PATIENT BEWARE ... you better know what your insurance covers ... DO NOT COUNT ON THEIR FRONT OF HOUSE. Beware of the front also selling things you may not want. Lastly DO NOT EXPECT ANY ADMINISTRATIVE HELP FROM THIS COMPANY WHEN PROBLEMS ARISE ... THEY DO NOT JNOW WHAT CUSTOMER SERVICE MEANS!

While going over charges at the end, I had a $145 contact fitting fee. I've been wearing contacts for years so no one helped me "fit" anything. After stating they should really be more transparent around pricing I was informed that I was supposed to be told upfront. I asked for one pair of contact lens samples to take with me to use during the two week wait time and was told no. $718 and 3 hours later (no exaggeration ) I was finally on my way out. I did ask if that time frame was typical and was told that it was normal now that they've switched to virtual. I now know after reading other reviews that it's actually not typical. I feel deceived on pricing and my time and patronage were not respected or appreciated. I'll be picking up my glasses (cheapest pair available) and contacts and will never visit again. I'll add that the virtual visit with the doctor and technician was fine and both were professional. Unfortunately this doesn't make up for the rest of the visit but it's at least one good caveat to this.
