I've absolutely DO NOT recommend MyEye Dr. Every single time we've been there they upcharge my family for glasses to make more money. They didn't submit anything correctly to the insurance. Spending $600 on a pair of glasses after insurance is beyond ridiculous. Took me over a month to get it figured out. Which finally they ended up taking care of it. But it shouldn't have been an issue in the first place. My family and I won't ever go there again. I didn't care for Dr Corrigan either. She was very arrogant and dismissed my questions and concerns. If you're looking for a professional, empathetic optometrist who is great with kids - Corrigan is not it. This woman is pompous, rude, and just useless. She completely shut my son down during his health screening all because he dared to participate in answering her questions. He is 8, and very much so capable of telling her about himself - he even does this with his own doctor. Nothing my son did during this appointment warranted her vile treatment toward him. To add insult to injury, she and the receptionist both tried to tell my husband that he owed $59 for my son's exam. My husband explained the insurance should have covered the exam. They told my husband he didn't have insurance, which he absolutely does because I'm the subscriber. I had just spoken to one of the staff members the day prior and told her what insurance it was and gave them my SSN. They didn't bother to listen to my husband at all, just wrote him off and sent him on his way. My family and I will never step foot in this place again. Save yourself the trouble; you're better off going to LensCrafters, or anywhere else in the area. read more

I got my glasses from this business on 6/7/23. As time went by I found that I was having problems getting the lens clean. The problem was spreading more and more on the lens so finally on 7/8/24 I took the glasses into the business and asked them to clean them. I was promptly informed the finish was coming off the lens and nothing could be done. Of course they also refused to do anything about it. "Glasses wear out" was the managers comment. I then i it formed him that I had been wearing glasses for 42 years and never had a fill come off the lenses. The solution they provided was that they would be happy to sell me new glasses. I informed them that they evidently are selling defective products and I would never buy from them again. Stay away from this business. Low quality products and do not care just want to sell glasses. read more

Below is only my opinion, but one I feel you should listen to if considering Stanton Optical for your eyecare. After one month, they still haven't delivered! After two exams, several contact trials, and over 2-hours in the store, and phone calls (I'm not kidding here) they have refused to print me my prescription -- that is, a correct one. That's right, the manager refused to print out a prescription that she and I agreed would work best for me - and my wife heard our agreement as well! And it's not a he said, she said scenario, my wife heard this, too! Simply put, I explained to the manager that there was a mistake - the prescription was not right? The manager then said, "that's what I got for ya." So I then requested a refund, because she refused to correct it. Her reply? "Call customer service for that." I called Customer Service and simply asked to have my prescription corrected and all would be well (although I was not happy with the manager). That's all I want is my prescription! What's going on, I thought? I'll tell you why at the end. It gets better. Do you know that Stanton Optical doesn't do refunds! That's right, they took my $109 and said that I would now have to travel to another city (can you imagine) to another Stanton Optical store for another eye exam. This is absurd! Not sure what I'll do? They win either way. I either let them have my money, or drive to another city losing more of my time and money. Think I'll just write TRUE, but bad reviews and spread the news by word-of-mouth. Small Claims is being suggested by a friend of ours. WHY THEY TREATED A NICE GUY LIKE ME THIS WAY: I went into Stanton Optical in Janesville Wisconsin for an eye-exam and asked if I could pay for my eye exam, rather than get their free exam with glasses. They said, absolutely. However, after the exam was over, I ran into a highly refined sales scheme (in my opinion). They then realized that I wasn't going to fill their quotas or provide them with commissions - and therefore was worthless to them. I simply didn't prefer their frames or the up-sale approach I saw while waiting in the lobby. I saw them pressure a mother to upgrade her teenage son's lenses even AFTER THE MOTHER DECLINED THE UPGRADE. In short, it sounds like their glasses are not good enough unless you upgrade -- thus the free exam and free ugly glasses for $79. I wanted an exam, and would shop elsewhere - perfectly acceptable as I paid cash for my exam as they allowed. Hard to find businesses that treat you right these days - if they only knew, treating folks right will keep them coming back FOR-EVER rather than NEV-ER! read more

if I could give -1 I would. which ever associate I talked to on the phone was beyond rude. I didn't even get to the appointment and will never ever come to this location. I spoken to her a previous day to set up my appointment and she let me know 2 times already contacts aren't covered thru my insurance. I was on my way to my appointment and called to let them know I would be 12 minutes late and said I can't come in anymore and brought up my contacts aren't covered thru my insurance with attitude for the third time. Just felt like if I was paying out of pocket I would of been treated differently. read more

Zero stars. First of all the woman receptionest needs to get another job. Very rude and has greasy hair. The office smelled like someone pooped nasty style right before I got there and I was supposed to get replacement glasses for free and I got charged. Then to top it off because I'm on Medicaid they decided to give my son glasses that don't even work. He went to his regular dr and failed a simple eyeglass test and I can't get new ones for another month wft. Never again might as well be blind. read more

I was charged an extra $49 for a "wellness check" on top of the comprehensive exam even though my insurance copay was only $10. They also charge too much for their glasses. The front desk associate was pleasant, but the sales consultant at the end of the appointment was not helpful and not warm. They insisted on the extra payment in order to release my prescription despite my not having the extra money with me and my request to be given a bill. I was so concerned that this place was a scam that I researched my record from three years ago to compare the prescription to make sure it was right. Thankfully, it seems fine. However, when I told my old eye doctor office about the "wellness charge" I was told it should be a part of the comprehensive exam and something's not right. Don't waste your time and money with My Eye Doctor in Machesney Park. read more

Having a wonderful experience at this location and with the eye doctor! Spent all last year fighting with Dr Newcomb in Roscoe over wrong prescription in glasses, wrong fit on contact lenses - after 10 trips and lots of "extra" money there, I said no more! Went to MyEyeDr on a referral from a co-worker. I can see with my new glasses, contact fit is right the first time but - get this - I can see the eye doctor anytime I need to over the next year free of charge! I also received a free $80 pair of sunglasses for ordering my contacts there. Half the price of Dr Newcomb and zero frustration level! It just does not get any better! Office staff is warm, welcoming and quiet! Refreshing to visit there and be treated with respect!! Highly recommended!! read more
