I had my yearly eye exam appointment and Dr. Catherine Ferentini, OD was amazing!!! She is kind, understanding, and attentive to my needs. The only downside is her limited availability but she's definitely worth the wait. Today's visit went smooth!! I completed the standard paperwork, and once called back I was given the option of having my eyes dilated or doing a photo scan instead. The assistant was friendly and knowledgeable...she even complimented my beautiful eyelashes because they kept getting in the way during the photo scan, which made me laugh and added a nice personal touch to the visit. I highly recommend coming here to get your vision checked. Personally i feel the eyewear selection is limited, so I end up purchasing my glasses elsewhere. It may just be me being picky since I am a creature of habit and have worn a specific pair of Ray Ban glasses they don't carry. Overall, a great experience!!!! read more

My family and I have been going to this location for years now. Dr. Roffer and Dr. Ogolla are excellent optometrists. The manager was incredibly helpful. What a poorly run office. I ordered 3 separate pairs of prescription glasses for myself 3 MONTHS ago . About after 1 month I started calling to see the status of my order . Was told after 1 month that one pair was in but waiting for the other 2 . At about the second month when I called they said that 2 came in wrong and they were being re done at the lab . Today when I called they said one of the labs NEVER got my order . Basically they lied to me once a week for TWO MONTHS. Horrible people to deal with and all at this office are INCOMPETENT. read more

Poor customer service. I received a confirmation "your appointment is at the Newington office" I arrive 5 minutes early and to my surprise there are two offices in Newington. I hop in the car and call them. They said if you're here by 850 you can be seen, I said my ETA is 851, they said sorry the doctor said he will not see you if 851, which I was disheartened by but understood. So I kicked into gear and rushed to there at 850 excited to not have to reschedule and be late into work for no reason. Then they told me I'm sorry the doctor still will not see you. I was given a tight window, made the window I was given, and was still not seen. You really need to fix the confirm to say the actual location as there's 2, or not note a 10 minute grace period and latest arrival time when you wouldn't see me anyway. read more

This office is absolutely ridiculous. Office manager explained to me they don't do refunds. It's their policy. Even though the website for my eye dr says they honor every warranty of the manufacture of their product. Which means the lenses are under warranty from the lab that made them and the frame are able to be accepted back by the store. Apparently that means nothing to them even though I've worked as an optician for years and know they definitely have take back glasses. Never again. Which is a shame because the doctor and optician seemed really good. Just working for bad people. Utterly ridiculous. Take your prescription and run. UPDATE: patient relations reached out. Absolutely awful experience. I will be finding a new vision provider. They prescribed EyeZen which is not supposed to be prescribed for those 39 and older and I'm about a decade past that cut off. After 19 days past my order date and several phone calls I called again to cancel my order and to get a refund. They refused and said that all glasses are custom-made to each person and that they do not provide anyone a refund. After I requested the refund they immediately magically found my glasses and said to come get them. Funny how that works. In 2024, that any business can take almost 3 weeks to get someone a pair of glasses ready is ridiculous. We have had glasses while you wait businesses for decades now. Awful service. Arrived 10 minutes late to my appointment and was told that i was marked as no show. I get it. Being is late was my fault but taking into consideration that on my last appointment they made me wait close to 30 minutes it all seems little double standard. The worst part was, however, the front desk check-in guy. Zero social skills. I work in medical office as a office admin myself, besides going a long way to accommodate everyone who comes late (because life does happen), when it's not possible, at least show some empathy and tact ....because these are clearly terms not in his vocabulary. read more

Negative experience with Dr. Ogalla was disrespectful and unprofessional. He didn't answer when I asked what the issue was. I spoke with the manager and he still had nothing to say in response. Manager said I did nothing wrong and alluded to the doctor being an on-going problem. She reported the incident to her boss and I heard nothing back. I tried calling their patient support department and was unable to leave a message. read more

Sat for 15 minutes after my scheduled appointment time. I decided to ask how much longer the wait was and was told another 20 minutes and I could reschedule if needed. So if I didn't ask someone wouldn't have thought to update me?! I'm thinking how inconsiderate to not let me know there's such a delay when I'm sitting with a newborn baby. And just to tell me to reschedule after this was my 2nd time rescheduling because their system sends a text when you call in to make an appointment which allows you to book online and their system double booked. So many inconveniences. Definitely don't waste your time with them. read more

They apparently cancel appointments if you do not "verbally " confirm. Doesn't matter if you confirm online and complete all necessary forms prior to appointment time. Funny thing is my daughter had an appointment earlier this week, and I never "verbally " confirmed anything with them. Very poor customer experience.. I'll take my money elsewhere. read more

had an appointment today and was less than impressed with Liz at the front desk. she was rude and seemed annoyed that I was asking her questions when she said my insurance was inactive. I then asked why is it inactive as I just verified that it was active the day before. she just stayed silent and handed me a paper showing my insurance was inactive...great! after just standing there I decided with such poor customer service this was not the place for me. I got home and my husband told me that he went to the other location on the Berlin turnpike...and guess what after a 2 minute phone call this person that was helping me figured out my insurance was active...it's amazing to me how little you have to do to provide good customer service...the Fenn rd location totally failed!!! read more

I don't know why the reviews are so negative. Service was great. Very friendly woman at front desk. Got my glasses fixed within 20 mins or so. And I was on my way. I normally go to the Vernon location since Its closer but was at work and needed my glasses fixed! Thanks again to the people at this location. read more

I've been going to the Rockville branch for a few years now. I thought I'd try my eye doctor in Newington as it was more convenient and closer to my home. I was charge $65 for the first time. All the years I've been going to the Rockville branch I have never been charged a co-pay which is usually $35. The office felt cold and poorly run. Let's just say I will gladly make the pilgrimage to Rockville from here on out. read more
