Zero stars - extremely disappointing experience. I waited 45 minutes after my appointment time to be seen, finally someone noticed me waiting and asked another staff member to get me started. While going over charges at the end, I had a $145 contact fitting fee. I've been wearing contacts for years so no one helped me "fit" anything. After stating they should really be more transparent around pricing I was informed that I was supposed to be told upfront. I asked for one pair of contact lens samples to take with me to use during the two week wait time and was told no. $718 and 3 hours later (no exaggeration ) I was finally on my way out. I did ask if that time frame was typical and was told that it was normal now that they've switched to virtual. I now know after reading other reviews that it's actually not typical. I feel deceived on pricing and my time and patronage were not respected or appreciated. I'll be picking up my glasses (cheapest pair available) and contacts and will never visit again. I'll add that the virtual visit with the doctor and technician was fine and both were professional. Unfortunately this doesn't make up for the rest of the visit but it's at least one good caveat to this. read more

Now that they've added the option to come in, get tested and then meet with the doc via video, it has really opened up so many more appointments. Since I prefer this store, it's a huge help. Lara has all the newest equipment and gets the eye check done very quickly. Angel has the glasses/contact ordering down. It's a very well managed office. read more

Absolutely everything from the moment we walked in the door to the time we walked out! These folks have got the most modern equipment I've ever seen. The technicians were fabulous just over the top good and the doctors were fabulous as well. It was so great. I've never seen anything like it and I've worn glasses most of my life! Husband had appointment this morning and it was confirmed yesterday by someone that called. Upon arriving, none of the office equipment was working so patient information could not be retrieved. To top it all off, the doctor wasn't going to be in. Mind you there were 2 other people there waiting prior to my husband getting there and one was coming in as he was leaving. Very nice and friendly. My experience was fairly quick. I updated my information and was called to the back within ten minutes. Everyone was very helpful and showed they were interested in my questions and concerns. The doctor was awesome. Cleared up all of my doubts and made sure I understood what worked best and how everything was good and healthy. Likely to be back next year. read more

I was overdue for my eye exam. Honestly, with COVID I have been minimizing my doctors appointments. But I felt completely comfortable at MyEyeDr. They due all the screenings to minimize exposure and sanitize before and after you touch the equipment. The doctor explained how the exam will be different than years before and that if she needed to be close to me how she would protect us both. Normally, eye exams are routine too the point I I wouldn't bother reviewing , but I think they do a great job with maintaining safety and the routine I exam. read more

Saturday morning I walk in, no appointment. The girls up front were super friendly. I was seen almost immediately! The doctor and lady helping her were also extremely friendly and informative and seemed to genuinely care about my needs. Lastly the lady who helps during check out was an absolute doll. Had my annual eye exam yesterday at MyEyeDr in Knightdale. When I arrived, there were no signs stating a mask would be required and the front desk staff were not wearing masks. The lady who handed me the clip board with documents to sign did not mention I would have to wear a mask. When I was called back, that lady had a mask in her hand and said I HAD to wear it. When I protested she said the rooms are small. SO?!?!? No one except people with health issues or those still afraid to breathe fresh air are wearing masks now. Everyone I dealt with tried to rationalize why I had to wear a mask: "I'm wearing a mask" - that is your choice, I choose not to wear masks/"my child has health issues"-sorry to hear that but me not wearing mask will not affect your child who is not here/"our board requires you wear a mask" from maskless staff member-you are not wearing a mask and you talk face to face with other staff, this is hypocrisy. I'm sure they clucked about the crazy conspiracy lady all day. Good for them, they can get vax'd, boosted, masked all they want while I breathe fresh, clean air and know my immune system is STRONG because I let it do its job. read more

I love this eye center. I have been coming here for a number of years. The staff knows me and my family by name. Angel knows what glasses I like and has them waiting for me when I come. She knows to pull the most expensive pair because that what I always choose and we go from their. She knows my insurance so we don't have to do alot of research. At first, I was upset that I had to change my provider due to changes with my insurance, but I have to say that it was a blessing in disguise. MyEyeDr is FAR better than Fox Eye Care on SO many levels. The staff is friendly, organized and VERY thorough when it comes to making sure you understand what your insurance covers. I went to the location on New Bern Ave in Raleigh and was surprised at the extent of the efficiency of the front desk, and the professionalism of the eye care staff. After my eye exam with the excellent doctor, I proceeded to look at frames. I found some, and I liked them. My face is small, and I can hardly find a pair of frames that fit right. Sometimes I have to look in the children's section. I loved the petite frames, a new adult frame. Unfortunately, they were a perfect fit but the color didn't look that good on me. They said, "This comes in other colors. We can call to see if another store has the other colors." They did. A few days later they called and said, "We have the other colors here for you to try." I couldn't believe it. I went in, and found exactly what I wanted. It was a most pleasant experience. read more

This location has always taken care of me the right way. Very friendly staff, they stay updated to what your needs were from the last visit to the current one. Selection is excellent, and I always walk away satisfied. Make sure before cashing out that you look at everything on your order. There may be optional items youre paying for that you want to opt out of. I dont think they are trying to sneak anything in, I just think that you want to be aware before you make the final sale. read more

This office runs very smoothly, didn't have long wait time before being seen by doctor. Customer care specialist were great.

Staff extremely knowledgeable, friendly and professional. The doctor went over the current condition of my eyes by reviewing the photos of my eyes with me-- that has never been done. The checkout staff member overheard me tell someone I had a meeting in about 30 mins. so she made sure to move quickly through that process, while still ensuring to cover my insurance coverage/savings, etc. Overall, a really positive experience. read more

Nothing about getting my new contacts/glasses prescription has been easy with my eye dr. They messed up my contacts prescription, had me come back in 2x to try my contacts on stating that it was the law that they had to see the contacts on my eyes despite my protests that I had no time to come back multiple times and that I was willing to sign whatever I needed too as I have worn the same contacts for multiple years. They over charged me and then refused to fax me my prescription citing HIPPA law and while I appreciate the effort to protect my privacy-if I was worried about my information being shared I would not ask you to fax it. Will never return to this, or any other my eye dr. location. read more

Do not give them your BC & BS number (they dont need it for eye exam) was told that if I didnt agree to additional services they would bill to BC & BS at a higher rate. Went to Wal-Mart for frames & lens for a fraction of the cost. They had the so called office manager give the hard sell when I stated I just wanted the eye exam my coverage allowed for. read more
