It would appear that this location has taken into consideration all the previous reviews and turned things around. I experienced a staff that offered prompt service, were courteous and knowledgable. Dr LaBell performed a thorough exam and talked me through each step. Jason provided all the information needed with each glass tier and how my insurance applied to each so that I could make a fully informed decision on what best suited my needs and style. I had exceptional service today from everyone in the office. I chatted with the ladies at the front counter and they seemed caring and professional. We laughed a bit together. I arrived early and they took me right back. Dr. Labell and his assistant were both very friendly. Dr. Labell was personable with conversation and professional with the eye procedures and exams. Once my prescription was created, he walked me over to Jason, who then assisted me with picking out my glasses and finished up my paperwork. Jason was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. He also gave full attention to handling my order, despite the interruptions of others coming in. He chose different frames that I typically wouldn't pick out and in the end, I chose one of his. He complimented the glasses to my face shape and made me feel like I picked the right pair for me. He was quick on the details looking at every perk and savings with my insurance. He really saved me a lot of money today, which i am truly grateful. I would certainly recommend them. I had a good experience and will go back. My advice would be to try them again if the first time was not so good. Bad employees come and go. read more

Phew, I guess it's a good thing that I did not check Yelp prior to making my appointment. Based on the previous reviews, I do not think that I would have made an appointment. Fortunately for me, I did not have a bad experience with My Eye Dr. Hopefully, I will not have to lower my rating if there are issues regarding the shipment of my contact lenses and/or eyeglasses. *fingers crossed* Making an appointment was pretty straightforward. I used the online system to schedule an appointment and received a phone call from the office within two days to confirm and provide my insurance information. During my visit, I thought the office's staff were very friendly and helpful. While checking in, the office manager/technician (???) provided ample information regarding the range of charges that I might incur. While Dr. LaBelle was not super chatty, he did a pretty nice job. From my medical experiences, most doctors tend to ask a bunch of get-to-know-you questions for 1st-time patients. I guess this can be either a good or bad thing, depending on your personality and/or mood for the day. Going forward, I hope to continue having pleasant experiences with My Eye Dr. read more

I made an appt for 9 am. I was advised to arrive 10 minutes before my appt time. I arrived at 8:51 however it appeared dark so I waited in my car. When I seen an employee walk in, I walked up to the door & the gentleman asked what time it was, I said 8:55. I was advised to sit outside & wait until they open. There were several employees sitting around & talking yet I had to stay outside. In the cold. If the employees do not want customers before 9 am we should not be asked to arrive early. When I asked for a number to speak with someone I was advised they do not have a corporate office or number that I can call to file a complaint. This is one of the most unprofessional myeyedr location I have ever experienced. The manager and staff gossip and talk rudely even with customers present. I would not recommend this location and will not return once my son's glasses arrive. The lady that helped pick the glasses was the only pleasant person there. read more

I was scheduled to see a doctor today, this been scheduled 3 weeks prior and Keri whom I spoke with over the phone and suggested that I leave a bad review and let other patients know how their doctors are unreliable and told me that this happens a lot to their other patients.Never scheule with this location if you dont want to waste your time. read more

Dr. Labelle is a great optometrist who goes above and beyond to take care of his patients. However the rest of the staff are rude and incompetent when it comes to measuring your pupillary distance and such to order glasses. Back on 29 July, I ordered a new pair of bifocals and a pair of prescription sunglasses. I had to send the glasses back and wait for them to come back in. The sunglasses had to be sent back twice and still haven't come back. Each time the staff measures and remeasures but can't seem to get it right. This is very frustrating after paying over $650! I'm going to Pearl Vision Center to see if they can do a better job. read more

Wow, so this was not good. For the last 20 years I went to a local 'Mom-Pop' place for my vision needs because these corporate organizations rarely offer better customer service. The Mom-Pop closed so here we are, and needless to say my fears were well founded. Got the eye exam done and brought in a really nice pair of Ray-bans to have the lenses updated. Glasses came back but after two weeks of headaches, something was wrong with the prescription, so back I went. Rechecked the numbers and sure enough, some things weren't right, so had to redo the lenses. Here's where things really go sideways. Got a phone call...glasses ready for pick up. Went to the store, a service-person went back to get the glasses, brought them out, opened up the case and no frames, just two lenses!!!! My Ray-Bans gone! Asked me "Do you have the frames?" No I don't have the frames, you had them. Service person goes to look for the frames, no luck. Manager goes to the back and after about 15 - 20 minutes comes back out. "Things just got awkward didn't they?" I asked. "Oh no no" she reassured me. "We'll keep looking and we'll call later this afternoon." So I went worst-case and asked if you can't find the frames, you have all the info you need to order a new pair? "Yes" was the response. Walked out, waited for the call, never came. Several days later called back for the manager, she's not in, had to leave a message. Manager calls the next day, blames a service-person for the 'no-call' and informs me she cannot order those frames anymore!!! She recommended that I come back in and select a new pair. Politely, I told her how upset I was and expected better from a professional service like this. Hung up and I swear, a service person calls me later that day to ask me "Do you have the frames?" A few days later I get an automated message that my 'glasses are ready', so I get excited because I think they found the frames. Nope, they just wanted me to come in to pick new frames. Went in, manager sitting behind the counter helping a customer. Tells me to pick some new frames. Her customer leaves, and instead of getting up to come help me, stays seated and helps another customer who just walked in the door! So after about 30 minutes of struggling to find an acceptable pair (with little to no help from anyone), picked some out and handed them over. They were Ray-Bans, and didn't fit perfectly so I asked if we could adjust the ear-pieces. "Nope, we don't do that" (now I know every business is different, but the optometrists I've been to in the past always had this cool-heater unit where you could adjust the ear pieces just a little. Worked great. Perhaps this business should invest in that.). Went home. Glasses came back, they're Ray-Bans (not like the ones I had), no headaches, and they don't fit perfectly. Finally decided to call customer service...just because. The customer rep seemed genuinely shocked and gave me a partial credit, and said that she was my personal point of contact going forward. At this point I'm thankful, I appreciate it, but the problem is not at her end. So for anyone looking to go here for an exam and purchase, I hope this honest review gives you pause. You may indeed have a better experience then I did (and I hope you will), but I have to go try and find my 'new' Mom-Pop place again. read more

I had heard about this place through a friend. She raved about her experience. So, I decided to try. The website was easy to schedule a same day appointment. I did my paperwork online. When I arrived the staff was kind and pleasant and shared with me protocols. I completed the paperwork that remained and was then taken back to perform my eye exam. The staff were attentive and kind. My experience was amazing. Then picking out my glasses was fun as the staff worked with my budget and my conservative style. This place sucks made appointments for my husband,?myself and two kids and they lost our appointments the only one on the schedule was my husband I made these appointments two weeks prior and received a confirmation call and no said my daughter wasn't on the schedule until I called about paperwork. Very unprofessional I would not recommend this place and I'm taking my business elsewhere. read more
