We went to Ten Mile Tavern a couple times during our stay at Copper and while it was convenient, there is definitely room for improvement. When we had dinner at Ten Mile, a couple people from our group had to wait WAYYYY longer than the rest of us for their food to arrive at the table and we even had to ask our server about it a couple times. A couple people's orders were messed up, too. Food was so-so. When we came for après ski, it was great to sit outside at one of their large tables and soak in the sun watching people come down the mountain. The giant pretzel was, in fact, giant and delicious. The service was lacking again, though. The server forgot my mom's drink (a beer, and the simplest drink of the group) and there was no salt on my dad's margarita, even when he specifically asked for it. read more

4 hungry friends went into a restaurant in a ski mountain.. the rest was less funny, or, should I say - just okay.. We ordered hot chocolate that never came and subbed fries for soup that never showed up (and thank God, cause it would have been extra $8!). The good - chicken sandwich that was pretty good! Who would have thought a ski resort base restaurant could be so good! Awesome cheese burger and Bloody Mary to end the day. We were seated promptly and were well taken care of, which is pretty unusual at base restaurants. I really love they don't have HFCS ketchup, they use a local brand without refined foods - so much more tasty! read more

Highly recommend making a reservation! We had a group of 6 and were seated immediately but there's always a long line if you don't have a reservation. This spot is a great après ski tavern with typical American fare / bar style food. I ordered the tomato bisque with grilled cheese. Cozy finish to a cold day on the slopes. I have been entertaining clients for 4+ decades at some of the finest restaurants. As a result, I have been the beneficiary of exceptional service. I had the pleasure of meeting Beth, our waitress, and Jeff, the manager, of Ten Mile last week. What an outstanding restaurant with great food. I was so impressed with their gracious authentic hospitality. As I watched Beth and Jeff throughout the evening, each of them treated every customer like they were the most important guest of the month. Though I reside in Texas and won't be in Colorado until next summer, I plan to make sure and tell my friends who have homes in Cooper Mountain about this wonderful restaurant. Was just grabbing a beer...talked to someone outside who said I can order at the end of the bar for a to go beer even tho I was holding my dog. All was fine until I tried to exit out the same door I thought she told me to go in. I saw a note saying employees only written, so I stopped and another male server chastised me for even attempting to use the door. Such a great lunch today. We got the pretzels with cheese and they were incredible. The cheese was perfect and we loved the onions in the cheese. The poutine was incredible. We really enjoyed the braised short ribs in it. I will definitely order it again. The burgers were great and had tons of flavor. My favorite was the sourdough hot hatch chilis. Ten Mile Tavern is located in Center Village of Copper Mountain in front of the American Eagle lift! I was craving a burger so my friend and I ended up coming to this place. Cute little spot I definitely enjoyed while out visiting to ride the sleds. Their burgers were delicious but the highlight of my meal were the wings from their appetizer meal. Attentive and friendly service from our server after waiting to be acknowledged for seating for what seemed like a long time (it was about 2pm and they were truly not busy). Not specific to Ten Mile alone, many restaurants seem not to value a quick greeting or acknowledgement of guests arriving and waiting. Ach weil. Food was quite good, burger and chicken sandwich hit the spot. Salad was decent, but the side of carrots were dried out. The drinks were well mixed and carried enough punch, that they seem to be a good value for being right at the slopes. Speaking of which, the view from the patio and several of the inside tables is really excellent. There were some ski and snowboard events that day, and one of the big aerial jumps was virtually front and center. So we watched these talented daredevils doing trick after mind bending trick. I understand that this is a ski resort but that does not excuse a restaurant from serving Sysco frozen patties and fries and charging &22.00 for it. The burgers was served so fast that is was undoubtedly pulled from a heated oven with the rest of the ingredients slapped on top. A solid good. Not great and certainly not bad. They were able to seat our group without too long of a wait. On a busy day, that can be noteworthy. All the food sounds good when you're coming down off the mountain and hungry. Sometimes, a beer and a stew is the perfect refueling combo. That's what I went for. The bowl is a half decent size. It's not going to fill you up by itself if you're especially hungry but that and a beer or two was the right amount. It's no good to go back on the mountain with a super heavy meal. Pretty good selection of beers listed on their chalk menu by the bar. Plenty of non-beer drinks available as well. Standard American food offerings. There aren't a ton of options when you're at the resort so I'd say you'll get a decent meal at an expected price. read more

This restaurant was great and I would recommend it to anyone coming down for a summer vacay or ski trip. i ordered a burger with mushrooms, caramelized onions, and Swiss cheese. The burger was cooked perfectly, and very flavorful. One of the best burgers I have eaten in a while. The friends I went with ordered the Spicy chicken sandwich and the chicken empanadas. Both flavorful with no complaints. We also ordered drinks, I had the perfect margarita, which I will admit was quite small for $14 (about 4-6ounces). My friends ordered a blueberry mojito and a raspberry sour, much better size for pricing. The location of the restaurant is next to the ski lift, which I think would be convenient during ski season. The atmosphere was wonderful, with outdoor seating and umbrellas for shade. They are also dog friendly outside which was great traveling with a golden doodle. Finally, our server Amanda was so courteous and kind. Would highly recommend this restaurant if in the Copper Mountain area. read more

As soon as you check in with them about the ridiculous amount of time it's taking for the food the staff gets defensive and rude. This is mentioned in multiple reviews over the years. Wasted two hours of everyone's time and at end left with refunds for food that we were told almost an hour after waiting they never placed an order for. Visit any other restaurant here. Absolutely awful experience. Our waiter was unbelievably rude the whole time and both the waiter and food server made fun of our food orders. The person who delivered our food laughed at the fact we ordered a salad plain. I understand it is weird, but why make fun of a customer!?! After receiving the bad service the tipe options were up to 50% so we decided to do custom tip and tip $15 due to our waiter not refilling our drinks, not filling water, having no someone else do his job and throwing our food on the table. After the waiter looked at the tip we asked for a to go box and he did not respond and came back throwing the to go box on our table and walked away without saying anything. After this encounter we decided we did not need to interact with this man anymore so we asked another employee for another to go box and our waiter sat there walked up to our table and just listened to what we were talking about without saying a word. I recommend not going here unless you intend on tipping up to 50%. If you do not tip that amount your waiter will throw stuff at you and be extremely unprofessional and rude. read more

I wanted this place to be good. They have great beer (Ten Barrel) and an amazing location. It could be awesome because there really is zero competition in Copper. But unfortunately we were severely disappointed. We wanted an hour for a table (25% capacity really hurts these small places!) and we're seated immediately after being informed our table was ready. My husband and I shared a Philly cheesesteak and green chili. Both were tasteless and boring. The meat in the cheesesteak mimicked a pot roast that someone had left cooking too long. We both took one taste of the chili and nearly gagged. Nothing good to say about the food. Thankfully our server comp'd the chili when she noticed "we didn't touch it so we must not have liked it". Hence, the place getting two stars v. one. I really believe that Ten Mile is here for the long haul. They should seriously invest in the kitchen ability. Beer was good as usual. The service wasn't good at all, me and my family went there and weren't sat right away which was fine but another party came in after us and got seated before us. Not many servers were there at the beginning of the night either, it wouldn't matter because our waitress wasn't good at all. It took her about 20 minutes for us to remind her to refill our waters, it took her about 30 minutes to realize she never put our order in. She came over and handed us food that wasn't ours as well. The location at the base of the ski slope was great. The decor was typical of slope side bar and grill. The wait staff was attentive but the menu selection was limited. We did enjoy the chili.
