He brought me to the airport and was great but when I asked if the tip was already included he said it was not. I was a little dismayed as I was told that gratuity is included. I gave him an extra few dollars anyway. I will give 5 stars to Sunny. I arrived very late at night on Tues. and he was there waiting at the cell phone lot and even though I requested a Prius they came in a very comfy sedan. He knew I was tired and didn't try to make conversation but did talk when I asked him questions. I felt very safe in the back of his car. I always get the feeling that they're not paying attention to the booking and I'm kinda surprised when the car actually shows up. Usually it's the opposite. Right? I first heard about MyShofer from limos.com, which had furnished me a list of limo/car services and quotes for a one-way trip from San Francisco to Incline Village (Lake Tahoe) in Nevada. I then checked out MyShofer, a relatively new company, was impressed by what I read, and selected them. There was a slight glitch on pricing that was quickly resolved perfectly. Kudos all around. This review is about MyShofer. They were to pick me up at 7:00 a..m on the Saturday that began the July 4 weekend. When I peeked out the window at 6:35 a.m., they already were waiting. The driver, whose name I believe was Sonny, was simply first rate. Friendly, courteous, respectful. My only regret was that the driver had to turn around and make the long drive back to San Francisco. As for MyShofer as a company, the vehicle, a black Lincoln Town Car, was in immaculate condition. They followed up both to make sure that my experience was a pleasant one, as well as to apologize again for the minor glitch (appreciated but unnecessary given that they resolved it perfectly immediately). In reading about MyShofer before selecting them, they offer several custom services that appear to be unique -- for example serving as your proxy to pick up groceries or run errands, as well as transporting kids or others to/from. Just came back from a "girls trip " to San Francisco and needed airport transportation from and back to the airport. The communication was excellent. "Tom" our driver texted me as soon as we landed to let us know he was at the airport and directed us where to meet him. He was very personable and provided interesting facts about the area as well as restaurants to try (both were wonderful). He called to tell us he was on his way and 10 minutes out to pick us up for our return trip to the airport. Our only regret was that we didn't hire him for a private tour of the Bay Area. This is a great service (based on one experience so far). I ordered a car at 10pm Wednesday night, online. Driver showed up in a shiny new Prius on Thursday morning 10 minutes early. No rush. The car was super clean and the driver really nice. $46, including tips/tax (I was so happy w/the service that I gave him $50). A cab would have cost about $53 without tip - so $55-$60 with - and may or may not have shown up. And with the prices of the SFO parking garages going up, the math works out well in favor of using MyShofer to/from the airport for a trip of 5 nights or more. My one concern is that I tried to book a car for my husband on Monday night, for Tuesday morning, but there were no Priuses (lowest cost option) available. So MyShofer may need to consider expanding to meet demand. read more

He knew the city that he was able to maneuver through the back streets when traffic hit. Although I requested a Prius, he picked me up in a Town car and didn't charge me extra. Both went off with ease in fact when my daughter and I came out with some of our luggage to go back to SFO 10 minutes early, our driver was already there. Booked two trips - one from SFO to SF which was fine, but the return was a shambles. When you are offering airport transfers probably the most important thing is to turn up on time because the customer is planning to catch a plane. Unfortunately this isn't something myshofer.com understands. We booked for 2pm only to get a call from the driver to say he was running 25 minutes late. 2.25pm came and went. At 2.35pm we called the customer support number to be told "he was just round the block". Another 10 minutes later and there was no sign of the car so we had no alternative but to give up a get a taxi. If you want reliability, go elsewhere. read more

I have been using MyShofer for most of my trips to SFO and a couple of times within SF. Great alternative to Uber as you can book early - Drivers were always pleasant, on time and well mannered, drove safely (except maybe the last one who was a bit... tensed). Fares are also competitive. The only reason why I wouldnt give it a 5* is whoever answers the phone. So unenthusiastic - Sounds like he couldnt care less. And that's part of the experience. If you can stick to the app and sadly, if you dont need to talk to a human being for customer service, MyShofer is close to perfect. read more

I had ordered a limo service to take me to the airport this past weekend... I had decided on a last minute mini-vacation to Mexico. I just booked again and looked at my history (it's there if one has an account) and saw that we have booked dozens of times in the past 3 years. Mainly to and from SFO but a few to and from OAK, and a few within the City. Not one issue. Never late, never lost. It is possible that phone communication could be an issue if you have to speak with them at an odd time -it's not like there's someone waiting for your call- but so far even our last minute changes have worked out. Uber is generally fine for spontaneous needs but there is something very relaxing about knowing well in advance that a driver (very likely one you've had before) will be outside your door slightly before the scheduled time. read more

From the time we engaged on the phone to the time we were dropped off at the airport we had a great experience. Nice & friendly dispatch told us all about timing and traffic, booked us through the phone and sent us a confirmation email. We got a call 5 min before the pick up from the driver who was already outside at 5:00 am , smelling fresh in the clean car, wearing suite and tie. How nice of a treat for $57 about as much as a cab would charge us in most likely a filthy vehicle. So overall 5 stars, great service, reliable, friendly and ofcoarse affordable. read more

This is a reliable, easy-to-use car service in the Bay Area. I use them regularly to get to/from SFO and OAK from Berkeley. They are punctual, and the drivers are always well spoken and friendly, but not chatty - totally professional. They have online booking, and they include tips/tolls in the online charge, so when you get out of the car at your destination, you can just go - similar to Uber. No receipts, no fuss. I use this service at least every week. i started out random booking online (easy to do- no glitches) and progressed to a loyal and near constant customer. The car/ driver arrives on time, usually 5-10 minutes early and then either calls or texts their arrival. So, no worries about being late. The drivers are considerate and helpful. Having experienced some thrilling (read: downright terrifying) cab rides, I particularly appreciate how well they drive! This is my new transportation choice for getting around town for events and to/from Airport. They ROCK! just used them for the first time for our friends wedding (Outside Lands was going on so knew cabs were scarce) and I'm so happy I picked them! They were outside my door right on time, got our friends, and to the wedding in perfect time. plus, the town car was clean, newish, and lots of room. Cost = $50 (tip included)so for 2 couples, a great deal, and no stress or worries - priceless! Our driver was so nice, he even offered to help our friends who were stranded at their home whose cab didn't show. I called them after the reception as again, no cabs around, and they came right away. I've got a work trip coming up and plan to use them for airport transportation as they are cheaper than a cab and much nicer, safer. read more

Although a cab ride might have saved a few bucks -- and I emphasize the words "might have" -- why deal with the real possibility of a no-show and subsequent panic getting to SFO. I used this service to SFO on 4/7/15 and from SFO on 4/16/15. On my trip to SFO, the driver was right on time @ 7:00 a.m. He called to let me know he was on my street. He was very courteous, helpful, and friendly. He got me to the airport quickly and without incident. My trip from SFO was even better. I requested the driver meet me in the baggage claim area as I am visually impaired and would have had a hard time finding him. He easily found me and helped me with my bags out to the garage. He was extremely friendly and courteous and helpful. We talked all the way to my front door. He even carried my bag up the steps to the front door. Unfortunately, I don't remember the name of either driver. (CRS syndriome!) They were both very professional and well suited for their job. A great service at a reasonable price.
