When my husband says, "My only complaint is that they don't have 10 more rooms," you know this place is awesome! My husband and I have played about 50 escape rooms at this point and Mystique has earned it's spot as "our favorite." This escape room facility is located in a shopping plaza (Colonial Town Park) in Lake Mary, Florida, right next to Publix liquor store. As soon as you walk through the door, you are transported into a sort of time traveling universe - with even the floor painted in appropriate themed fashion. To access the three different escape rooms (one centered in London, another in Egypt and the other in a magical realm), a gypsy wagon opens to reveal the enchanting hallway. I won't dare giveaway any secrets (that would ruin the fun!) except for noting that there is only one lock to open amongst the three rooms. All other nooks and crannies open by your actions and puzzles being solved. One of the rooms uses ALL of your senses (can we say, " most creative?"). The staff are as amazing as the rooms and we can't wait for their 4th room to open (rumors are buzzing about a pirate themed room) in 2022. So, definitely give Mystique a try - you won't be disappointed!

My daughter wanted to do an escape room for her 19th birthday. We have done quite a few and this one was closer to home so we decided to try it out. Murder in London is what we choose. Our game just was great and very friendly. I also liked that this is the only place we have been to that gives you unlimited clues and you don't lose time for utilizing them. The room itself was interesting, like being in an alley way of London. I found the puzzles were not what I expected and if you got stuck, there was nothing for anyone to do. So it seemed there was more down time than other rooms we have done. It was more of a suspense/thriller room. Not scary but we definitely jumped and screamed a few times! We will definitely go back on the future and try the other rooms since it's only 20 mins from where we live.

So, I finally had an adventure with my family by solving an escape room! We had an amazing time and it was a lot of fun! Yes, there were some challenging moments but I do recommend for anyone who loves solving things and figuring things out! I won't give out any clues but you do have 60 minutes to solve it! Who would of thought these existed so close to home? I do recommend 2 adult couples and I don't recommend any kids. Just saying, I love my son but he was into everything. The best part of it all, we made it with time to spare! I love the details in our room and whoever created and set things up, they really thought out the details. It's a great time after a dinner date or before! Please call to make a reservation so you can plan accordingly!

I went here a couple months ago with some friends. We are a group of very experienced escape room people (is there a term for this? lol). When you walk in the theming is really well done. I thought the way you enter to go to your game room is super clever and I enjoyed all the detail that put into this place. We did the Wizard's Tower room and enjoyed it for the most part but felt it was a bit lacking in the flow... some things didn't make the most sense to us but we appreciate all of the hard work they have put into this room. I would like to try another room and see if I enjoy it more.

    Escaped the room!

I was fortunate enough to demo one of the rooms (ancient tomb) and take photos and videos in the Murder In London room.

I have three boys so of course nothing is going to be cheap. For two activities it cost $128 dollars. They were busy so for instance the rope course we had to wait for several times. The mini golf is glow in the dark but not a large scale just a miniature option. There was a cord in the middle of one of the holes which is a hazard if someone tripped over it. They have several activities to choose from being ropes course, rock climbing, bowling, arcade, laser tag, axe throwing. You do get some arcade credits but they're kind of a waste counting on each kid got 60 credits and one game was 30 credits. We didn't eat here but I did have a drink from the bar, the bartender was kinda and fast and the drink was good for the money. The staff seemed to be pretty nice. I mean at the end of the day you do what you can in a setting like this. There are things I would do differently but if you need in indoor activity definitely give it a try if you have some money to burn.

It was HOT the day we decided to go so we only stayed for a couple of hours. I do wish there was more shade on pathways, and fans and/or covered spaces to take a break from the Florida heat. We thankfully found a spot by the black bear exhibit that was air conditioned and had only two chairs, so I could feed our daughter. There were MANY other moms that came in looking to also feed their kids and it turned into a waiting game as we had to take turns using the two chairs in that building to sit and feed our babies. The animals were neat to see, because it was so hot a lot of the animals weren't out or were in shady places within their enclosure. I liked that there were zoo workers and volunteers near many of the exhibits that were available to answer questions and provide more information about the specific animals there. Overall we had a great time with our daughter and look forward to bringing her back again in the future.

On February 8, 1837, a force of Seminole Indians led by Emathla and his son, Coacoochee, attacked the camp, resulting in the Battle of Camp Monroe. Captain Charles Mellon died defending the fort and 14 soldiers were injured. The fort was renamed in his honor. Mellon was said to be buried near where he was killed under a large tree. Over the following months, the other soldiers killed at Fort Mellon were buried at a cemetery nearby the fort. Later on Mellon was reinterred in a cemetery in St. Augustine but not all of the bodies were moved. The remaining dead, about 20-26, who were buried at Fort Mellon are still there and nobody knows exactly where. Over time, the fort was abandoned and the cemetery was lost. The area around the fort developed into the city of Mellonville which was eventually annexed by Sanford. In January of 1938, the city commission voted to name a new park after Fort Mellon. Today the park is a popular gathering spot for outdoor recreation for the City of Sanford. Over 17 acres the community can enjoy basketball courts, outdoor exercise equipment, a fort themed playground, eight picnic pavilions equipped with tables and grills, and Central Florida's largest splash pad. The history, waterfront views, and well kept facilities have made this park a beloved destination for family fun in Sanford for decades. This park is a destination for family community gatherings, play, and fitness. Fort Mellon Park connects to the Sanford Riverwalk for even more recreational opportunities. .

One for bigger kids and then a side for smaller kids. Perfect for families of different aged children. Both sides have really fun features for the kids. The older side resembles a castle with lots climbing, slides and a draw bridge. The younger side resembles a ship. It has rocking boats, shorter steps, and baby swings. This park has a nice padded floor but it is not covered. With the water near by and the direct sunlight it can be very hot for children so pay attention to this. Next to the park is the splash pad which is very large and fun for kids. The bathroom is located between the two. Some parts of the park seem unfinished or under construction. Overall it's a nice park with a lot to offer for locals or visitors.
