Employees consistently do not wear their masks over their noses. I tried to ask an employee today why. First she said it just fell down and when I confronted her with my own personal observations of her (I'm in there several time a week) she changed her tactics and said there is no mask mandate. A colleague of hers also joined in (maybe deli guy). Then a cashier. They insist the death rate is low for corona virus and there is no law saying they have to and if I don't like the way they do things I can shop else where Also she would not give me her name. She may be the manager for all I know. I really just wanted to know if it was her and few other non compliant employees and the situation could be remedied or if it starts with management and so there is no hope of the the situation being resolved. First off I want to say that I am grateful to have a good local grocery store that has made it in that place. A 1,000 percent improvement over previous stores there. The produce, meat and deli are good. Pricing is good and the staff for the most part are very helpful. The variety of groceries in the store is excellent for the size of the store. The deli offering of cooked lunch a plus. Saying all that it is not Emmanuel's or Adam's quality (although not the high price of those either). That is why I can't give it a 5. Saying that, the fact that a few of the staff will not wear their masks properly (and managers don't demand it) tell me they don't care if their customers get sick. If you want deli meats sliced as you order, and subs with the plastic taken off the Solomi, don't go here. I ordered cheese sliced thin and layered, they clumped it together. Some even blame the slicer when they can't cut it thin. I ordered a sub, they never removed the plastic wrap from the Solomi. Also you have to remind them to change their gloves, between orders. This place is a disaster, if you want things done correctly, go to the MyTown in Stone Ridge, so far they are doing things correctly. read more

No sense of community and who their regulars are. They stock expired goods and / or goods that have expired before the date they are supposed to but are spoiled and will not take returns. I presume they aren't handling goods with proper storage before stocking or they are getting some sort of discount for almost expired. Who knows, but what I do know is they don't care when you talk with them about it. Your either $ or not $ to them. Lisa, one of the owners is the worst. This is a great local store! Such a VAST improvement from the previous tenants (Associated). This location opened in July of 2014. There is another location previous to this opening in Highland Falls, so obviously there is an experienced team moving in. The store is very clean, the aisles are fully stocked, ESPECIALLY the produce section. (which was not the case when Associated were there), and their sales specials are great as well. They carry Best Yet store brand items, which is very decent in quality and price. They have a great little deli that makes fresh sandwiches and uses Boar's Head products. Their staff has always been very friendly and helpful as well, which was also not the case when the previous tenants were there. In a world of Walmarts and Stop & Shops, it's always good to support local businesses in this day and age, and this is definitely one that I hope sticks around for a long time! read more

This Market is not handicap friendly. The produce isles and check out isles are way too tight. I'd be surprised if they meet minimum Ada standards. I had difficulty navigating with a shopping cart and my service dog. I could not imagine doing it with a wheelchair!! In addition to this issue, the cashier was rude, and relitively unhelpful. She could not even be bothered to say "hello". Instead she ignored me, and had a conversation with her friend whom was in line behind me :( Otherwise the store was clean, well lit, and had a small selection of a little bit of everything. read more

So nice to have a grocery store back in Rosendale when I come to be with my parents from NH. Plenty of choices since I'm not a picky snooty city prick. Good hot foods when I don't feel like cooking and a good selection of beers and some wines. I'm so bummed out that I didn't get to see some of these Karen's in action flexing their mask muscles. It's a shame/sham that they're even allowed to make complaints of that nature on here. Life was had enough for so many before the plandemic and now even more so after. I'm so grateful to find people constantly working in the aisles straightening up the shelves but always willing to help me find what I need instead of hiding from me. Some actually giving me some new crock pot recipes to help me manage my time while I'm here and give me some cool roads lesser travelled and some sights I haven't seen in years, to bring my kids to see. Even though I was raised here I've been away for 25 years. So if you feel the need to come onto yelp and complain like an entitled rotten cold hearted sack of shit, may the karma be returned 1k fold to your useless ass! My unsolicited but your direly needed advice is as follows. Wish people a better day and actually consider that their life might not be as blessed or as fortunate as yours before you dump on them. Ever consider that you're just getting a reflection of what you're projecting to them in return and you're actually a very shitty person to deal with in public. Be thankful and kind to this store and the people that work there because they have been in survival mode for two years no thanks to complaints from someone that probably fled the city and cuomos deadly mandates and the gangs of blm and thugs roaming the streets attacking people at will because they don't have a way out or a summer home to escape to. Because I try to be fair I am editing this original review below. My husband offered the opinion that the sour mop smell could be the result of a drainage problem within all of the buildings in this aging complex. He said the Dollar satire also has an offensive odor. So I'm adding an additional star. I give this market one star because every time I come it smells like a dirty mop! Please do something about this. Change your cleaning practice. Without the dirty mop smell I would rate you higher. Throw out those old mops! read more

This is a great store. Many markets have opened in this spot and have not survived. This store has some surprising things that one would not expect to find here. Its usually freezing when you walk in and has a bad smell. The checkout people are super nice and helpful. read more

I have shopped there for a long time (and even worked there at one point) but have finally had enough. The owner, Albert, is a VERY rude and nasty man. I've seen him on several occasions berate and scream at employees/costumers for almost nothing. Talking to employees, more than one have told me that they are mistreated and underpaid. Seeing how Albert talks to them, I know that they are not lying. Prices are too high for mostly generic brands and gross, old produce. The only thing good about this store is that the employees are kind and helpful, but it's just not worth it to shop there. Do the community a favor and skip over mytown as I have decided to do. It's a pain to drive into new paltz or kingston, but I refuse to support such a crappy little business and such a mean, little, man. read more

The idiotic manager here refused to ring up my groceries because I complained that his staffers were obviously not receiving proper training -- some weren't wearing masks, some were wearing masks with their noses hanging out, and pretty much all weren't socially distancing! Employees come up right next to you to restock shelves. I was standing at the cheese refrigerator when an employee came out of a back room just next to my shoulder with no mask on, literally breathing down my neck. I screamed, and the other employees started making fun of me. They obviously think more than 180,000 dead so far is a great big joke. Another employee stood right next to me with his nose hanging out of his mask to put meat on a shelf, and when I asked him to wait till I was done, he refused. When I complained to the manager about the serious lack of training at the store, he told the cashier not to ring me up. I threw my blueberries down on the counter, and the classy cashier lady said, "You messed with the wrong bitch," and started chasing me without a mask. These people, manager included, are idiotic cretins and the type of person responsible for the spread of this disease. And they sell spoiled produce, fish, and deli items! When I called the owner to try to discuss this incident with him, he said, "The owner isn't here right now" and asked why I was calling. When I told him, he started yelling at me and admitted he is the owner. Who does that? Must have a very guilty conscience. So nice to have a full service grocery store in our town again! The place is CLEAN!!! Great produce selection, meats, prices. The shelves are full with a good variety. Nice options if prepared food and super friendly people. And- did I mention how clean it is??? Some things might be pennies more than the big box supermarkets- but with has still over $3/gallon , and the convenience- definitely worth it! And it's so clean! read more

For a small market prices are reasonable and competitive, that's the reason for the 2 stars. I bought meat here 2x and both times it was spoiled when I went to use it later that evening. It's convenient if I need something in a pinch that's prepackaged and not sold next door at Dollar General. read more
