We love this store. It is an older store, but they keep it very clean. The employees are very, very friendly. We shop here all the time.Today. I was just here to pick up a few things for a trip. Everything is good. The produce is good, the large bread section, the deli, the dairy section, the desserts, everything. They even have a small housewares section, and my partner has been happy with everything she has ever purchased from that housewares section, as well. Most of the items are Aldi's store brand. They do sell name brands, but you will pay a bit more for it. If you see something you like, get it, because the stock does rotate. There's no guarantee something you really like. Will be there next time, but that's part of the fun of shopping at the store . Overall, prices are very reasonable. Probably our three favorite items, are the chicken pot pies, the German soups, , and the Knopper's filled cookies also from Germany,. The cookies are rich, and delicious. The chicken pot pie, it's nothing like Marie Callender's, but it blows banquet out of the water. For a store-bought chicken pot pie, it's amazing. The German soups, the cans are huge. And for a canned soup, it's amazing how delectable the different flavors are. They are worth every penny. Very good quality, prices on most items are well below conventional grocery stores'. Their fish is always fresh. They have a nice, if somewhat limited, selection of fresh vegetables, actually fresh. read more

This is a discount food store, with a convenient parking lot, that doesn't require a membership. If you are willing to try a new brand, you may find the quality is the same or better. They do carry some major brands too. The prices are way cheaper than other grocery stores. I found my grocery bill dropped to a third of what I was paying at other stores. Their selection of canned vegetables is somewhat limited, but their refrigerated section is vast. My favorites are the fresh, never frozen, salmon, the tenderized bacon wrapped steak, the thin sliced boneless pork chops, Krakus sliced polish ham, Appleton Farms center cut bacon, Perdue chicken and the vast selection of cheese. They carry Priano brand specialty italian food. The Priano frozen stuffed shells are the best I ever had. With their large size and creamy ricotta filling, you can't tell they were frozen. The Priano sliced deli meat and cheese snacks are top quality. Dairy and frozen items are organized well. There is a nice selection of pizza and fresh veggies. The refrigerated calzone is very good too. They even have a nice selection of home goods and seasonal items. You will not wait on line a long time to pay for your groceries. This is because of the way the cashier puts your groceries directly into an empty cart. There is a long counter where you can comfortably bag your groceries yourself without being rushed. You will need to bring a quarter with you to unlock a grocery cart. You also need to bring your own grocery bags, but you can buy some there if you forget. Their insulated grocery bag holds a lot and is very sturdy. Lastly, you won't spend hours walking up and down isles trying to find what you need. Like shopping in a warehouse club but man, the prices are great. Perfect for basic staples and they have plenty of specialty items as well, although I'm not sure if you could consistently rely on availability. I'll be making monthly stops there in any case. I generally love Aldi, so my issue is with this particular location. This store always seems understaffed which causes a number of issues including; * The store is always dirty. * Pricing on Shelves is often missing or not in the correct location. * Checkout lines are backed up through the store because there aren't enough cashiers for the number of people checking out (I've seen people give up and leave carts full of groceries). Again these are not issues that you see at most Aldi's so its really a function of the local management of this particular location. read more

Produce is fresh because of high turnover. Clean store. Don't forget your quarter to get scary and bring your own bags. They sometimes have boxes you can use, but don't count on them being available. The staff are super fast at check-out and very polite. read more

Aldis has great prices and plenty of variety. The quality of many store brand items is terrific. I'm always announcing prices out loud when I grab an item b/c I'm stunned with the low prices.(.eg. frozen fruit $1.85, giant spring mix lettuce $2.39. Many other items under $1.00) Employees were polite, efficient and diligent to sanitize carriages, etc. I make a weekly pilgrimage to stock up on essentials. read more

I used to worship Aldi's, never shopped anywhere else, unbeatable prices and amazing selection and with the Instacart features they were idea for a new mom during a pandemic. However twice now I have received a bread item that had clearly been gnawed on by a rat and or mouse with excrement and chew marks on the packaging. It bad enough we are in a pandemic now I have to worry about getting sick from grocery items. I'm very very very disappointed. read more

This store in Kingston, NY has to have the hardest working crew. They try their best to keep the shelves stocked and the customers happy, especially in this brutal economy. The prices are good. The quality is there. The staff always has a smile on their face and they do their darnedest to make your shopping experience at Aldi the best it can possibly be. Go away from this store! Run if you have to! Not only will they nickle and dime you, but the employees there don't know how to treat customers well. They push you through the lines, and then they have the audacity to nickel and dime you for more money for bags? What a rip-off! I know I tend to go back, but that's because I'm forced to go back. Other Aldi stores near me are not as bad, but this one, ever since it's inception here in the mid 2000's, has been rather rude and won't get my money. (My parents however, although they see their rude demeanor, tend to go back and use their money there.) I try to talk my parents out of it, but they won't listen, and I get forced into returning time-and-time again!) I only went in to get away from what was happening in the car, and, in my experience there on the one day alone, I ended up finding boxes of cereal that were crushed (beyond repair, as if employees didn't care that their boxes were going out "wrong"), price signs being blocked by other products and a range of other qualities that really was drastically wrong with this place! Closed the local stores for renovations so hoping things continue to get better and better. i have shopped at Aldi's because of their excellent prices. Unfortunately, in this pandemic they are not respecting the requirements to protect their customers. Grocery stores have been asked to set aside time for "at risk" shoppers only. Aldi's has set aside only 1/2 hour two days each week. I shopped today. A young man who works there was not wearing his mask. When I requested he do so he was exceptionally rude. He put it on and then took it off as I turned the corner. I heard his boss request he wear his mask. He put it on and then took it off. He was put on the cash register. I would not go on his line. He had a mask and then took it off. B e careful. The customers were terrific. Too bad the staff is not. read more

I love Aldi but not this location. The store is always crowded, the layout is cramped, the produce isn't the freshest and they don't have the best selection. I mainly shop here because it's more convenient than traveling to the Hudson location which is MUCH nicer. read more

They are so low staffed yet they reject everyone's application to work there, like I don't understand how they can be so picky at such a little business. Everyone Ik that apples there gets a rejection email a week later even me, I have the experience and the work ethic and they door give anyone a chance to even get an interview. No interview just rejection emails saying you won't be considered, I'm not the only one whose gotten that email so it's not like there's something wrong with me. I visited the Kingston Aldi's for the first time earlier this week. I was pleasantly surprised. The store was clean and not too crowded. The produce was fresh and well priced, although the store was out of stables such as onions. Some nice selections of cheese, deli meats, and canned goods (including pet food) that are far more expensive at neighboring stores, although again the shelves didn't have canned goods that we were looking for. Although we still had to go to a nearby chain store to finish our shopping, we'll return for the excellent prices. read more

The only reason they don't get 5 stars is due to the fact they are not a one-stop shopping store. I find the employees friendly. Checkout is usually pretty speedy despite lines...they do move you through fast. BRING your own bags or boxes. Pricing is considerably better than Hanford, Walmart, Shop-rite. We did a price check with our most used items and found Aldi outpaced the others most of the time. This store was recently renovated too. read more

I absolutely LOVE Aldi. Their organic products rival any other store, as do their non-organic products. The employees are always friendly and quick, and even when the lines get long they still get everyone checked out quickly and efficiently. Some people feel weird and put-off by how cheap everything is, but COME ON! Organic baby Arugula for $2.49?! It costs $3.99 at Stop and Shop! Although you can't always get everything you need there, it is definitely worth it to make it a weekly stop. I always take my list to Aldi first and if I can't find everything on it at Aldi I hop over to Shop Rite and finish up. I cut my weekly grocery bill in HALF by shopping at Aldi, and i recommend it to EVERYONE! read more

I love Aldi, especially since the new renovation! They have great organic options that can give their competitors a run for their money, since Aldi is much less expensive in most cases. Since the renovation, the store feels very spacious and appealing. The produce is great and the grass fed meats are delicious and reasonably priced. Items and pricing good, but customer service seriously lacking. I was checked out by Adriana (so my receipt says) who haphazardly threw my items in the cart. I had bought some packages of chicken and the way they were thrown in the cart could've caused them to either leak or be punctured by other products in the cart. When I told her I had a bag she straight up told me "I'm not required to bag your groceries for you." I have no problem bagging my own groceries, nor did I expect her to. When I started bagging she rudely told me I had to pay before I could bag. I told her I had to ensure my chicken didn't leak all over the rest of my food first since it was standing on edge in the cart and proceeded to ignore her and bag my groceries then pay for my order. First and last time shopping there. Rushing customers when it wasn't even busy in the store and being rude is no where I want to give my $. Life is too short to deal with teenage attitude at the checkout line. read more

You'll probably spend half as much here as you would at other groceries. The fresh produce and meats are equal in quality as other groceries as well. Our cashier was very sweet. Rude employees! And I couldn't believe having to pay for a shopping cart. The cashier placed my items in a shopping cart. When I tried to push the cart, she told me that I couldn't use it since I didn't pay for a cart when I entered the store. Then why did she place them in the shopping cart??
