Timi greeted me on the phone and assured me he could have me in-and-out on time to get to my appointment across town. True to his word, he "whipped my butter" into shape and I was back on the road stylin' & profilin' in about 20 minutes. THE VERDICT At a cost of $18, it was way more expensive than the last time I got my hair cut, but Timi did an excellent job and I enjoyed the whole barber shop experience. It felt like I've been coming here for years. We talked politics, photography, travel and I even learned where I can get excellent egg rolls! Good music, great conversation... The owner (Mike) greeted me, explained he was committed to two scheduled appointments but assured me one of his colleagues could see me. He offered me coffee and invited me to wait. Before my coffee could cool the personable Duane introduced himself and took a few minutes to chat about what I wanted and quickly got down to business. His skills with clippers and razor were immediately clear and I was trimmed, shaved and neatly tended to with uncommon graciousness and respect. The charges for the services seemed very fair and included "value added" items such as hot towels and lotions. As important was the precision of barbering was, more important was the gentlemanly attitude uniformly displayed by staff and clientele. The artwork and atmosphere is tasteful and indeed educational and inspirational. A comfortable setting for people of all ages and genders.
