I've always wanted to eat at LG's & I was finally able to make it in this summer. The restaurant is beautifully decorated. It has a great friendly and upscale vibe. The staff is courteous and greet you immediately. It seems like everyone is eager to take care of you and help you out. The food was good. There's a great selection of different items and overall it was a great experience. The only reason I wasn't 100% satisfied, was because we were seated next to a really rowdy group of people. They were very incoherent and inebriated. One of the women that was sitting in that group kept getting up and wanting to dance and was just really loud and I really couldn't enjoy the conversation my party and I were trying to have. For the amount that we were paying for our dinner we should've been able to fully enjoy our meal without having to look over at this woman who was almost falling over and talking so loudly we can hear her over the music playing. That situation put a damper on our overall experience.

The third time the server shoved my glasses out of his way to make room for the pastry tray, I might have unintentionally displayed some disgust on my face. The first time, when he shoved my utensils around the table with a menu, I gave him the benefit of the doubt. The second time he put his foot under the table to step on my right foot and push me to the left from his way, sparked enough gusto in me to say, "It's okay, I have another foot." If I am in his way, it would be nice to know before any action takes place. The meal was off. Between the long pregnant pauses of drinks, bread, and salad, there was finally the main course. Who picks up bread plates before the salad is even served? I guess that's how they do it at LG's. The Cesar salad had that old lettuce taste, you know what I mean? That part near the bottom of the stalk that starts to get yellow and signals it's time to give to rabbits and indiscriminate foul. We enjoyed the scalloped potatoes and Brussel sprouts, but if you read through the reviews, so did everyone else. The steaks were average; neither amazing nor poor. If I were a portly young kid waiting for the dessert menu, I would have been disappointed by the sad excuses for desserts. They were neither visually appealing nor explained in a way that made you want to try one. Even my eager sweet tooth was not tempted by these selections, and I am easily tempted. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Not an elegant dining experience, if that's what you're searching for.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The table could easily have accommodated some butter knives, or at least have been ornamented with quality cutlery. The forks were embarrassing.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] $850 meal for five people... and I asked myself, was it worth it? Why do I ask myself questions which I know the answer.

The stake here is absolutely the best. We have been here twice now and we like it very much. Our server tonight always had perfect timing. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambulance is romantic and old-fashioned. Just how I like it.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We had a glass of red wine from Argentina.

Food was decent. We ordered baked scallops, the table side Caesar for 2, 8oz filet, medallions with shrimp, garlic fries, and au gratin. Our favorite things were the garlic fries, gratin and scallops. My partner's steak was supposed to be medium but was much closer to between rare and mid rare. When I finished my main dish, the waiter took my plate and all of my silverware so I couldn't eat anything else at the table unless I used my hands. Additionally, they skipped our table for bread service. I unfortunately only asked at the very end since it felt odd that a restaurant at this price point didn't have a bread service. The waiter offered to pack me some to go which was funny but kind to offer. Honestly, the food is good here. It's just unfortunate and disappointing that the service just doesn't have it together.

Cream spinach. Split wedge salad. Split baked potato. Split steak. Wagon wheels.

Service was great. The food was awesome. We love our server, Stefano.. Switched out our silverware when needed. Brought anything to our table that we wanted. Koch cooked our food to our preferences. Honestly, I've never really had a bad meal there. I try to go once a month except where it's really hot out. I go to Orange County to escape the heat.

The meal and service was amazing. From the time we sat down until the moment we left. First, reservations are highly recommended. Luckily we did for a Sunday night, as the PGA event ended an hour or so earlier, and the place was packed. Sergio was our waiter for the night, with a bevy of support people around us. Water never dried up, as they were that attentive. Dinner started with 1/2 dozen of oysters served with horseradish and cocktail sauce. Go gimmicks to hide the flavor. Delicious. The sourdough rolls were warm and crispy. Whipped butter was great to add. Had two filets, one and 8oz the other 14oz. Both Oscar style with a side lobster tail. Cook was amazing. When you ask for medium rare? That is what you get. I applaud the chef. Medium rare on a 6-8" thick filet is an art. The scalloped potatoes were good, but sure if I would order again. For desert we shared a creamy and whipped cheesecake with strawberries. Not fresh strawberries but cooked down and soft and velvety. Not of the norm will say. Overall the place was lively and well attended with a great atmosphere in the air. We will be back. Simply a great, old schooled, steakhouse.

We just wanted a drink before dinner so no food was had. From the looks of the dishes that were coming out, they looked really nice. Tapas style dishes made for sharing. With happy hour, there was a couple dishes that was included. Also they offered a deal with a charcuterie board and a bottle included. We just went with a glass of their house red and white. And an order of spicy margaritas. It's a full bar so that was nice. Margaritas were great and house wine was decent. The service was great with the bartender who was a doll and very sweet. Made drinks and still had time to come check out on people. It was still early but it did pick up for happy hour which is from 5-6 right when they open. The place was quite nice and well decorated. If you haven't tried BP you should. For reasons above the million star cuisine. I've eaten all over the world and the crab cakes just took it to a different level. Unfortunately, this experience did not meet our expectations. The French toast we ordered was not impressive, and to add to our frustration, they were out of another dish we wanted. Additionally, they ran out of toppings to complete the meal. We ultimately settled for a simple breakfast of eggs, potatoes, and bacon, which included fruit; however, some of the food appeared spoiled. To compensate, we were told we could choose two free pastries--something it seemed like they offered regularly since another guest also received free pastries. Even so, this was not enough to make up for the overall poor experience. The service declined further towards the end of our meal. After we had finished brunch, we were asked questions that seemed out of place. The establishment feels more like a café than a full-service kitchen, as evidenced by their inability to prepare eggs cooked over medium, insisting only scrambled eggs were possible. I have rarely encountered a restaurant unable or unwilling to meet such a basic request. Given this experience, I do not plan to return. I hope you take this feedback seriously to improve service and food quality going forward.

DRINKS AND APPETIZER ONLY!…read more We were visiting family down the street, so we popped in for a drink. The look and the feel of the Grapefruit Basil restaurant did not feel like other Tommy Bhammas. It did not have that vibe. Plus, the drink menu is not the same as Tommy Bahammas as well- while reviewing the menu I noticed a couple of similar drinks such as the grapefruit basil, so I decided to order a familiar drink. Unfortunately, this drink was not as good as the one that I had the night before-- I could not taste the alcohol, it just tasked like grapefruit- I was sad, as this is like my go to drink. To compliment out drinks, we had the salsa guac appetizer that we are very familiar with from the Tommy Bhamma restaurant. The appetizer was good, and like I remember from their restaurants. So how was the atmosphere-- we just popped down at the bar. The bar felt like we were at a hospital. Very white and blah. If it was a cooler night, the outdoor space might have been nicer. They do have a bar and seating outside. As it was still in the 100s, we did not have that option. The bar was a bit distasteful with off conversations- we don't mind a party vibe, but the vibe was not that kind of environment. Lastly, this restaurant/bar does not use the tommy Bahamas membership program so you cannot accumulate points or use your credits. Would we come again- well, Tommy Bahammas it's not too far away, I think we would head there instead or another bar.
