Stopped here after a long day at the hospital and it was just what we needed. We we re e seated right away, the inside was authentic and very classic Chicago Chinese hole in the wall. If youre from Chicago, you know this is a good sign. The server came ans took our order right away, they didnt talk much but again, that doesn't matter when the food is good. We ordered the Crab Rangoons, Sweet and Sour Chicken, Beef and Broccoli and Egg Foo Young. The Ragoons came out hot ans fresh, the Sweet ans Sour Chicken was cooked perfectly and the fried rice with it was also delicious. The Beef and Broccoli was a little too sweet but still good and the Egg Foo Young was also cooked pretty good, a little burnt but still good. I couldn't be more pleased with my take out experience. Admittedly, I was reluctant to place my order after confirming it's under new management. However, the person who answered convinced me the Singapore noodles would taste even better than it used to. Not only did it taste better, but there were more ingredients. The dining room is tidy and looks more dine in friendly than it did about a year ago. If I were getting off the train or looking for a dine in place to have a bite before hopping on, you can definitely add this one and Connie's to your list. Had the chance to order some delivery from N Joy this week. It was great! Ordered online, and arrived in half the expected time (30 minutes instead of 55). I tried the crab rangoon, BBQ pork fried rice, and Kung Pao chicken. The crab rangoon were large, crispy and well-filled; the fried rice had loads of pork and was delicious without being overly greasy or heavy; and the Kung Pao chicken was super juicy and well-cooked with lovely fresh veggies and sauce. Portions were generous. Really happy with my order and looking forward to ordering from here again soon. read more

Easily my go-to Chinese takeout! They have the absolute best crab rangoons. So much filling, not just cream cheese, but a good amount of crab. My friends and I love it so much that it's my go pick up for our potluck parties since you can order a tray ahead of time. I also love their general tso chicken. My new favorite go to Chinese food restaurant! The owners are so kind, gave my children candy when we came in to pick up. Everything I had was very tasty. My go to's are Sesame chicken, egg rolls, crab ragoon, beef with peapods, and fried rice. They are all amazing so far. Chicken actually looks and tastes like real chicken. i'm very observant and aware, the owner rachel is over charging every customer from the menu and their cash register, they are bushed and customers are blindly getting over charged for their orders. i got over charged and called out rachel that her menu had one price and the receipt is inflated. we walked out after she wouldn't change the pricing. she was rude and didn't care about our feelings. read more

Tried to sub fried rice for the steamed rice and even indicated to call if it can't be done: I had to call the restaurant who took over the promised time for the food and then said they can't substitute. Okay, so this place that was previously N-Joy II II that went out of business but as of Friday, 5/19/23 they reopened under new owners and this new name. They have really cleaned up the inside. New booths, got rid of all the gross plants and multiple fish tanks, just one fish tank. Looks much nicer inside, I would now actually sit inside the restaurant to have a meal. This time, I got take out, it was very good, food made quickly. They can make most of the food w/out MSG. Our order was a bit complicated because we ordered some of the chicken dishes w/out vegetables and they got it right! Just wish they had fried wontons. I also thought the egg rolls were very good as well as my beef with pea pods, wish it had more water chestnuts in them, but that is just me because I love water chestnuts. Since my Mom (85 yrs old) had surgery the 23th we decided for Christmas we would have her favorite Chinese but every place was closed except N-JOY II (We usually go to the Original NJOY on 35th in Cicero but they were closed) We viewed the menu online and I called it in- when I picked it up it was $10 more than expected. I was told that's because the online menu is 16 yrs old and never been updated - as for the food -- You decide for yourself - First is the American BEEF chop suey (as they say, where's the beef?) Plus the little few little white strips of meat we did find tasted like chewing gum! The crab rangoon is great, the egg rolls mediocre, the Kung Pao tofu was swimming in a rancid oily sauce, the BBQ fried rice was inedible and the Mongolian chicken was just average. We ordered spicy and ended up putting sriracha on our food. The food was delivered however, there was no disclosure for the $3.50 delivery fee.We tipped driver $3.00 and therefore paid $6.50 to have tasteless, mediocre food. I don't care where the crumbs fall or what grease ends up on my face, but as if the realization of my pigginess isn't disturbing enough, the pigginess paired with not-so-good food makes me feel even worse. I'm not a huge fan of Chinese food to begin with, but I had a hankering for egg rolls, so I decided to try N-Joy (II) as it's right off of my train stop. Holy salty, Batman!!! Wow! Adding sweet sauce does not help (in fact, probably added more salt). But seeing that I couldn't stop shaking from hunger, I ate them like the good little piggy-girl I can be. I also ordered beef fried rice because, thanks to Neil (may God soothe his troubled soul), Chinese food is never complete without the "good-bad" fried rice. This wasn't too bad; it actually had a good texture and wasn't dry, but again...salty. I know I should expect salt from soy sauce, fish sauce, oyster sauce or whatever sauce is used in the cooking, but either I'm extra dehydrated today or the cook's taste buds are shot. The meat WAS very tender, but was it beef?? It looked light in color, like pork. Of course, I couldn't quite tell you what it was by flavor because all I could taste was sodium joy. Needless to say, most of the dish remains almost pristine in its traditional folded-up box. That said, the people that work there were SUPER nice -- great sweetness to balance out the salt. If I ever crave Chinese food in the neighborhood in the future, I would try them again just because of their friendly (and fast!) service, and because the Yelpers before me seem to really like this place. Maybe it was an off day but I did not like anything I ordered except, the crab rangoon. I had wonton soup, which should be broth, green onions and wontons, nothing else. No cabbage, no beef strips, nothing else. I also had sesame chicken. The chicken breading was hard in some places and couldn't be eaten. I'm suspecting microwave but cannot be sure. Also the broccoli was still raw, not cooked and crunchy. I also ordered beef with broccoli haven't opened that container yet. I pray that's decent.
