    General Tso's Tofu

A good place for Chinese and you won't be waiting long to chow on some cheap food. It often can be worrying when food comes out fast but no worries about the food here. New Hong Kong Garden is the best Chinese place in Lyons. Has a few tables inside. The majority of customers get takeout. Came to get a carryout order at lunch. I got the General Tso's Tofu. This is $5.80 for a lunch portion filled with tofu and vegetables. Had good flavor. The tofu wasn't too soft while it also wasn't over cooked and too tough. Good amount of lightly spiciness throughout and it also tastes fairly fresh. The portion wasn't humongous and maybe could have had a bit more. Good stuff overall for a small Chinese place that is mostly bare bones. It has some inside seating. There's hardly ever people eating here though as most get takeout.

Great service and clean place.. everything I have tried is good. Best Chinese Restaurant in the area.

The food overall is pretty light and comes in portion that's enough to share! When I'm craving for some Chinese food nearby is definitely a good spot to grab it.

    Pretty good

Previous review was 5 years ago. New ownership, it's not anywhere as good as it used to be.

Great little Chinese spot. Really good egg rolls. They are open to making any dish vegetarian... but you need to ask. New go to!

Good food and prices are fair for what you get. Much better than previous owners. Staff is friendly and down to earth.

Hey fellow Yelp users! I went to Forbidden Noodles in La Grange on 7/17/24 (Wednesday) with my…read morebestie. This was my first time coming here so I didn't know what to expect. My bestie has been here a few times, so I went with the Ramen should recommended I should get. Forbidden Noodles definitely exceeded the expectations I didn't have. Food: I ordered a pork tonkotsu with miso instead of the tonkotsu ($14.99). Since I was treating myself that day, I also decided to try their cream cheese rangoon with their spicy mayo ($3.99 for 3 pieces) and it was absolutely delicious! Honestly a great combo! Atmosphere: I loved the atmosphere. I went on a really hot day, so it felt nice walking into the cold. The place had low lighting which gave it a warm and cozy aesthetic. Perfect place for a date or catch up lunch/dinner. Customer Service: I thought the customer service was great. The cashier that took my order was really nice. She even brought out cups of water for me & my bestie even though neither of us asked for any. Parking: There's a parking lot, parking garage, & street parking which is all FREE. Street parking is hit or miss, so I totally recommend parking at the parking lot or parking garage. Overall Experience: Overall, I had a good experience at Forbidden Noodles. I would highly recommend this place if you're craving some Ramen but want to skip the trip going to Chinatown (although Chinatown does have a good chunk of Ramen spots). You can even watch a movie before or after grubbing at Forbidden Noodles at the nearby Classic Cinemas La Grange Theatre. I hope this review helps Forbidden Noodles & its current and future customers. Have an amazing day!
