New Hong Kong Garden is the best Chinese place in Lyons. Has a few tables inside. The majority of customers get takeout. Came to get a carryout order at lunch. I got the General Tso's Tofu. This is $5.80 for a lunch portion filled with tofu and vegetables. Had good flavor. The tofu wasn't too soft while it also wasn't over cooked and too tough. Good amount of lightly spiciness throughout and it also tastes fairly fresh. The portion wasn't humongous and maybe could have had a bit more. Good stuff overall for a small Chinese place that is mostly bare bones. It has some inside seating. There's hardly ever people eating here though as most get takeout. read more

Friends have said how good this place is well I don't I don't think they know good food. The chop suey was watery, had absolutely no taste. Sweet and sour chicken how do you screw that up well they did. The sauce again watery and no taste. The beef fried rice well it was colored beef and I think I found 2 pieces of meat. I ordered from this restaurant because it's my go to restaurant when I want Chinese food never had a bad experience until today first thing I call to make my order a white lady answers takes down my order then takes down my credit card number then my food gets here the same white lady that took my order was the delivery person she hands me my food then stands right in front of my door while I said can I help you she says you didn't pay with credit card it says you have to pay with money I looked at her and told her I gave you my credit card number then she says oh if there's any problem I'll just call you back it's fine it's fine ,so I'll look at my bag and my food was all in my bag a little bit was inside my place then she forgets my two beverages I call back Hong Kong Garden and spoke with a different person they said next time I make an order they going to refund me everything that was messed up, yeah that's the last time you guys are receiving my business after so many times I ordered off you guys Worst experience by far. read more
