I'm so glad I tried this place! We went here after making a reservation, and I noted on my reservation that we have a small dog and they facilitated that. So I really appreciate it. They let us sit inside the restaurant and a little hidden from everyone else which was perfect because my small dog could be barking every chance she got. Now before I visited, I saw the overall rating on Yelp isn't that great, but I assume it could be something totally unrelated to the flavor of the food itself because the pictures look great to me. And I'm Asian so I know what a good asian food looks like. Well I can tell you, everything we ordered were delicious, no notes! We got the lumpia, calamari, and fried rice. The fried rice is noted as market price so we didn't know how much it would be. I asked what comes with it and it didn't come with steak or prawns so I assumed it would be okayish. Well the fried rice was delicious and big portions with some sausages and fried egg, but holy moly it was the priciest fried rice! Haha $40. It's okay tho, still glad we tried it. The lumpia was yummy, a little on the salty side but very enjoyable. Now the calamari was the winner to me! I think it might be the best calamari I've had. Not only cos the calamari itself was good, not chewy, and crispy on the outside; but also everything else that came with it to cut the richness! I think it's some pickled onions, might be some kimchi too. Just try it! I would love to try the fried chicken also but they're sold out. I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience was disappointing from start to finish. First, who wants to pay $35 for a pad thai? The prices were already hard to justify, but the service made it even worse. My son has an egg allergy, so we politely asked if the kitchen could make a dish without eggs. We were simply told "no" and advised to order something else. For a restaurant, especially one charging premium prices, I expected at least some effort to accommodate a basic food allergy request. To make matters worse, our waitress was not friendly or welcoming at all. The overall attitude made us feel like we were inconveniencing the staff by dining there. Looking back, we probably should have walked out when we first encountered the poor service. Unfortunately, between the overpriced food, lack of accommodation for allergies, and unfriendly service, we won't be returning. read more

The food, we had the lumpia, papaya salad, and pad see ew it came out quickly and was warm and fresh. I saw some complaints about the papaya salad because it seems that folks expected fresh not dehydrated shrimp but it's described in the menu and actually works well in this dish. The spicy level was good on the salad but I could've gone for more heat on the rest of the dishes. The lumpia was crisp and delish, it was just out of the fryer but it wasn't oily at all the dipping sauce was a perfect compliment. Our second time in, and absolutely worth embarrassing ourselves on Yelp with a self-important review, because the 1 stars on this page simply do not make sense. We were running a little late and accommodated with grace. Service was professional and prompt from start to finish. Little touches, like servers pouring our wine, didn't go unnoticed or unappreciated. The first bite of a meal is often the best part, yet somehow, each bite here is better than the last. The balance between acid, heat, salt, and texture is a delicate one, and Na Na has mastered the dance. Dishes feel authentic yet modern, and are just as satisfying to admire at as they are to eat. We ordered way too much (as is tradition) and don't regret a thing. Great selection of Rieslings to settle the palette between dishes, and keep that slow-rolling heat at bay. After I made the reservation, someone told me about a wonderful restaurant we need to go to. Na Na. Spoke to a Buellton local who also said we should visit Na Na. In a low key strip mall with decent parking. When you walk in, there is a distinct curated vibe. Very cute. Interesting enjoyable music selection. Intentional everything. One can tell thought was put into all the decor down to the water bottles. We were drawn to the table version of Ms Pacman. What a great touch! Then there is the food. It is just next level. The crude was $$$ but every bite was delightful. The hamachi was so fresh and seasoned perfectly. The tangerine chicken was so tasty. The prawns on the pad thai were huge! Everything was so good. The dessert was so refreshing. The only thing I'd say that is a downside is that if your group has a lot of food rules, they may not find something they like. I am still salivating over the traditional Thai flavors used in all the dishes. We went for a belated birthday celebration around 515 on a weekday. We had a hard time deciding what time to eat because all their dishes looked great. We both agreed the special seared fish appetizer sounded good and went with that to start. The server recommended the steak curry due to the mild spice level and we both prefer yellow curry dishes. We also decided to get pad see ew because my friend had had it before and loved it. For dessert we had a lemon sorbet and banana foster type dessert. I can't remember the exact name of it. We loved both of them! Every dish was amazing, bursting with flavor. I do recommend making a reservation because by 6 it was a packed house and the restaurant is small, but cozy. Both the owners were there and made interactions with us, which is something that is appreciated when going to a restaurant for the first time. Hidden Thai gem in the middle of Santa ynez valley! My girlfriends and I wanted an Asian fix during our girls weekend. We found this on Yelp and were intrigued by the reviews. Inside was very Thai decor almost Valentine's Day theme. A lot of red and pink. I'm honestly amazed at how the food was because I expected it to be like 2/5 quality based on the usual demographic. We ordered Tom kha soup 5/5 Khao soi 4.5/5. Can never go wrong with a curry chicken noodle Fried rice 4.5/5. We didn't prefer the sausage in it. Spring rolls 5/5. Thin and crispy but very flavorful Thai tea 2/5. Had to send it back because it tasted unusual with the coconut milk. However, it was too late for us to realize that this restaurant had limited food options that didn't suit our family's preferences. I wish we had known this from the beginning. My children, who enjoy Asian food, couldn't find anything on the menu that worked for them; even fried rice couldn't be modified to remove the special ingredients that keep it signature to the restaurant's menu: the sweet and sour chili sauce. The daily special featured raw fish with a strong 'nam-pla' flavor, making it too salty for our taste. Unfortunately, the Thai tea had too much coconut milk, which upset my stomach. The beef with broccoli was supposedly good because the meat was tender, but the sauce was too salty and too sweet. As someone who prepares Asian food, I believe this restaurant's Thai cooking may be good for others, but it did not suit us. I have come to this place twice and really love it. The atmosphere is beautiful and the dishes are so special. The first time I went in I tried a dish my mom nor I cared much for, the owner came over and was very attentive and explained the flavor profiles which we just weren't familiar with. We didn't ask for a substitute dish but she wanted us to try something else so brought us out another to try something she thought we would like. Great customer service! The banana dessert is fantastic and a must have. The crispy rice salad was also amazing. I went last week on my lunch break with a group of friends and we all are still talking about it. Took my niece here for dinner and of course she knew the hostess (she's a teacher). Reviewing the menu, we decided on the Lon Gung shrimp curry, Pad See Ew with the lumpia to start. We were brought a plate of melon and berries as a palate cleanser. Delicious! I've had many lumpia in my years on this planet and while this was very tasty, it was really salty. The sauce was good --I wasn't sure if the salt was coming from lumpia or sauce. We still ate it but it was noticeably salty. Only two, long skinny lumpia and $11. Kinda pricey for what we got, one more at least would have felt more appropriate. Luckily, the Lon Gung came out next. And this did not disappoint. In fact, it made us forget about the salt bomb w just had! Sweet coconut curry with a touch of turmeric. This was presented beautifully--so mesmerizing that I forgot to take a photo! Giant Caledonian shrimp displayed around the plate with a luscious yellow curry smothering the potatoes and carrots. We were excited to dig in. on this. So satisfying! Very surprised by the mixed reviews of this place. Having been twice in the past month, I can honestly say it's one of the best Thai restaurants I have ever experienced. You can tell there is a real love and passion behind what is put out. I have tasted about half the menu and have been very impressed by every dish. Everything is vibrant, fresh, perfectly seasoned and utterly delicious. I'm actually a bit of a wimp when it comes to spicy food and am very grateful for the perfectly balanced level of heat in things. Prior to my first visit, I had heard nothing but amazing things from local friends, so I was very excited to finally experience it for myself. We were greeted by Ashley when we arrived (we later found out she is the co-owner and GM). She was moving her way around the space with expertise and ease. One minute she's behind the host stand greeting guests and getting them settled in, the next minutes she's pouring wine behind the bar while highlighting tasting notes, shortly after that she's dropping a beautiful plate of food at a table. This woman is a boss and you can tell she takes this seriously. Is the food cheap? No. Is it overpriced? I personally didn't think so. There is a level of care and craft that is going into preparing the food here and it's easy to see. Our server, Nash speaks about where local produce comes from or how something was flown in fresh that week. Perhaps if I was eating alone, some things might be a little outside my budget, but I suggest going with friends or family and sharing a bunch of plates family style so you can really explore the menu and taste everything they have to offer. The first time I left Nana my belly was fully and I was super satisified with how everything went. The service was superb. The wine and drinks paired perfectly with the food. I explored new dishes and flavors and couldn't wait to go back and try more! On our second visit in, we are thrilled to see Ashley again, she immediately recognizes us and takes the time to stop at our table a and say hello. We were fortunate to have Nash again as our server and were pleasantly surprised by him greeting us by name! What a wonderful way to feel welcomed and right at home. We try some new things and get a few of our favorites from last time. Once again everything is finger-licking good! We're thrilled that there is consistency here, and we didn't just happen to get lucky on a good night. This experience has solidified our patronage. My mom and I were in the mood to eat out and remembered hearing about Na Na Thai recently opening in Buellton. We came on a Monday evening and asked for a table for three since my boyfriend was gonna meet us up as well. My mom and I sat down and ordered one Nam Manao (lime soda) to drink. It came out pretty quick and was really tart and delicious! Since we knew my boyfriend was about ten minutes out we ordered a Por Pia to start. The waiter was a bit insistent on submitting our entire order at once but I'm not sure if she realized we were waiting on someone. He arrived about ten minutes later and the Por Pia arrived right after. We had thought there would be two spring rolls and were a little surprised when it was just one. Nonetheless with the peanut sauce, it was really good! A few minutes had gone by without our waiter stopping by the table and eventually a different waiter noticed us so she ended up taking our order for the rest of the night. My boyfriend got the cashew chicken with a side of fried rice, my mom got the pad thai, and I got the pad sii uuu. Probably because the kitchen was busy but the food arrived in a bit of an odd order. First it was the cashew chicken, then the pad thai, then a long pause before the fried rice, and finally the pad sii uuu. Everything was very delicious! A lot of flavor and cooked exactly how we all liked it. The cashew chicken had some peppers in it that were nice and spicy -- be warned! But it also had a sweetness to it. The pad thai included some crushed chili on the side that added some nice spice once stirred in. Sometimes my mom and I can be picky about our pad thai but we agreed it was really good. The pad sii uuu was very yummy and was balanced with the greens. For dessert, we ordered the banana fritters. It came promptly and was so good! It was a balance of the opposites: hot and cold, sweet and salty. Overall, the food was truly excellent. However, it is pricey and will probably be reserved for special occasions. We didn't know the side of fried rice would actually be registered as a whole dish and were surprised when we saw the bill. Also, the first waiter was the one to bring us our check so when we were calculating tip, it was a bit unclear if essentially we were tipping the first waiter (who ultimately didn't take the order for any of the food besides the Por Pia) or the second waiter. It's just a little bit dark, some people might need a flashlight for the menu, and even with my 20/20 vision, it was a bit difficult to totally see the dishes well. Our server was very nice, he talked well and was enthusiastic. I got pad see ew, green curry, and a spicy salad. They were pretty good, the chicken in the pad see ew was tender, but not the chicken in the green curry. Now, the food takes long to come out. I went there with my parents around 6 and started eating half an hour later, which was kinda ridiculous. Also, the prices for the portions are als RIDICULOUS. The pad see ew was $27 for like one normal plate, most Thai restaurants have an actual shareable plate that's twice the size of this place! Buellton has needed Thai food, so I had really high hopes for Na Na Thai. Locals have been talking about it and finally I got to try it tonight! By some lucky fate we walked up and were second in line with a table having just opened up to sit at. They have decorated the inside of this space so perfectly- lots of fun colors and fitting decor. I don't really care for the fact that you have to order before you sit down, as I wanted to closely review the menu, but felt rushed because there was a long line behind me. The line literally didn't stop the whole night. They were jammed. Tables were filled as quickly as people were leaving. We opted for the fried chicken appetizer to start, which was incredible. The hostess recommended it and it was delicious. The chili sauce is super flavorful. We stuck to creature comfort and ordered Pad Si UUU for one entree and Khao Soi (Northern Thai Curry) for our second entree. Both were insanely delicious. I did ask for more hot sauce and the waitress brought us two separate options. Both were great. Khao Soi is one of my favorite Thai foods and though this was made with pork, which I hadn't encountered before, it was so good. Honestly, the entire meal was amazing. I can't tell you how many times I've taken a bite of food here and practically melted in my seat from feelings of happiness. Na Na Thai is special for so many reasons, from the food to the service. Ashley is so nice and always makes folks feel welcome, and the rest of the staff is always A+. I love Thai food, but I thought this place was overrated and overpriced. The food was Okay, but two (small) dishes, one side of white rice and one non-alcoholic drink, cost $80+. I thought the noodles were oily, but the small pieces of chicken were good. The music was too loud to have a quiet conversation. One and done for me. There are way too many Thai restaurants around to try. read more
