My partner and I found this place on Yelp. We were the only customers upon arrival and dined in the restaurant to ourselves. Seemed like a private lunch date. The overall decor was homey like we were at our relatives house. Service was immaculate and had an incredible experience. The lady named Tu was SO NICE AND WELCOMING! She was very sweet and friendly! She was very communicative with us, made small talk and was very kind and accommodated everything we requested. She brought us everything we asked for and tended to our needs. She came to check on us at reasonable times and even brought us a sample of jujubees fruit to eat that she washed and plated. She said it was from her neighbors backyard. That to us was love and beyond our expectations! The place was easy to find, parking was okay, food was good, portions were decent, and the pricing was reasonable. We were so hungry we couldn't stop eating! My only concerns were cleaner placemats and table cloths and chair covers, and there were flies gnats flying around which was kind of hard to eat. We support small mom and pop shops and will definitely be back to support the business. Unfortunately we don't live in the area but wanted to give them some love here since they showed us great hospitality. We said our goodbyes at the door before leaving and made a new friendship with Tu. We had our last conversation at the door and headed for departure. It was a sweet moment I won't forget!

Drunken noodles filled us up not to spicy service was awesome we felt at home we will be back

I'm not the best to critique the food, as I have only ate at one other Thai restaurant. But the experience I had from walking in to walking out of Thai Hut was nothing but exceptional. I have lived within a 5 mile radius of this establishment for my 38 years of life and regret not coming here sooner. I placed my order in house to go as planned. After my order was taken by the sweetest lady she then proceeded to bring me a glass of the most amazing tea as I waited in such comfy place. She was never overbearing but kept an amazing conversation while checking out. I will definitely be back! Ps. After eating the food I can't believe I have waited so long to try this! It is amazing the noodles, the sauce, the broccoli and thick tender meat! It's like chow mein without the crunchy veggies my daughter makes me pick out.

Upon walking in, there was a little boy (owner's grandkid?) playing with his toys by himself directly in front of the main entrance doors. It took a few minutes for anyone to come out front to greet and seat us. There was only one other couple and one or two other customers there at the time we dined in. It was not busy at all... The ambience was truly a mom and pops shop with Christmas decor and table settings in October. 2 Positive Stars for the clean ladies' restroom. Now the food...We came for the glowing reviews but were very disappointed by every single dish we selected for dinner that night. There's a first time for everything, and this is the very first time I was served Pad Thai in soup form. It was super watery and not tasty or flavorful whatsoever. The curry tasted OK but was still a disappointment. Customer service was super friendly. They also offered us a small plate of complimentary Keebler Fudge cookies at the end of our dinner. I hate giving low stars reviews, but Yelp world needs to know about their watery Pad Thai. I personally wouldn't come back here...

Cheap chewy beef in the Penang Curry

I always greet Thai restaurant staff with "sawadee krup" and noticed I didn't get a Thai reply here or even much of a acknowledgement which may explain the Chinese style items in my food. Chicken Satay was decent, good marinade but the peanut sauce was super salty. And the cucumber salad was just cucumber. Kind of disappointing except that it came with 5 skewers. Angel wings aren't the typical chicken wings in a sauce which is different. They're like stuffed fried chicken with noodles and maybe some type of ground meat. It was also salty and the sauce was not Thai at all, more like a Chinese style sweet & sour. Tasted a bit better with some Mae ploy sauce that I had in my fridge. Pad Thai was below average. The noodles weren't as flat and had more bite vs the regular rice noodle I've had before. The chicken was not like any I've seen in Thai food. It really reminded me of what would come in like a Chinese chicken chow mein. Noodles were a bit saucy and sauce was more red vs orange. Overall lacked flavor and we threw out half of it. Beef larb was also very salty, not sure if they went overboard on the fish sauce or what. Also weird it was served with cabbage. The dish overall lacked a lot of texture like rice noodle crumbles that typically come on a larb. I'm not an expert but I wouldn't recommend this. The Penang Beef curry was probably the most disappointing as the beef was super chewy and cheap. Definitely along the cheap broccoli beef lines. The curry itself wasn't bad but literally no veggies at all. I've never seen curry with only meat except at Indian restaurants. Penang usually has some bell peppers at minimum. Prices are cheaper than other places but quality is significantly lower. I would rather pay more for quality vs throw away a bunch of food like we did tonight.

We had to order using a QR code on our phones. That was kind of convenient, but it made it hard to ask questions. None of the dishes came with a protein, so we had to pay extra to add one, which seemed odd. We also had to pay extra for sauces and condiments. That's not a big deal, but it felt a little like they were trying to charge for everything. In the end, we spent just under $50 for two people. The food was served in to-go containers with plastic utensils, which wasn't what we expected for a $50 Thai restaurant. The food was good, but I wouldn't call it very authentic. It felt more like fast casual Chinese food. The restaurant itself was clean, warm, but felt cold... if that makes any sense. Overall, I wasn't very impressed. I would recommend they adjusting prices to include a base protein and include condiments and sauces.

I love coming here whenever I get the chance--the ambiance and atmosphere make it a great place to relax and enjoy a meal. The food is excellent. Their take on pho soup is especially well executed and has quickly become one of my favorite dishes. The flavors are balanced and authentic, and you can really tell the care that goes into preparing it. Coming from Los Angeles, where great pho is easy to find, it's refreshing to be able to enjoy a bowl on the Central Coast that's made properly and with such attention to flavor. Because of that experience, I was excited to become a regular customer. Unfortunately, my second visit completely changed my opinion. I placed a takeout order for four dishes (around $100) and requested some sauces and plastic utensils with my order. When I arrived, I gave my name and was told my order was ready. I then politely asked for the utensils and sauces I had requested, and the employee helping me immediately responded with an attitude. Despite ordering multiple entrees, I was given just one packet of sriracha and one packet of hoisin sauce. When I asked for enough sauces and utensils for the meal, it became clear that this was somehow an issue. To make matters worse, after I had already given my name, I was asked to produce my receipt, and the interaction became increasingly hostile. As someone who has spent years working in hospitality, I understand that great service is what turns first-time guests into loyal customers. We were friendly, tipped well on our first visit, and came back because we genuinely enjoyed the food. I expected the same level of hospitality in return. And the gentlemen who helped us the first time Told me his family was in the business for years in socal and he should be the only person interacting with guests. The food is genuinely very good, which makes this experience even more disappointing. Unfortunately, the rude and confrontational customer service completely overshadowed the quality of the meal. Imagine getting upset your customers want utensils and sauce after spending $100. What an absolute gut punch. Stepping over dollars to pick up pennies. I won't be returning. If customer service matters to you, I'd think twice before ordering take out from here.

They let us sit inside the restaurant and a little hidden from everyone else which was perfect because my small dog could be barking every chance she got. Now before I visited, I saw the overall rating on Yelp isn't that great, but I assume it could be something totally unrelated to the flavor of the food itself because the pictures look great to me. And I'm Asian so I know what a good asian food looks like. Well I can tell you, everything we ordered were delicious, no notes! We got the lumpia, calamari, and fried rice. The fried rice is noted as market price so we didn't know how much it would be. I asked what comes with it and it didn't come with steak or prawns so I assumed it would be okayish. Well the fried rice was delicious and big portions with some sausages and fried egg, but holy moly it was the priciest fried rice! Haha $40. It's okay tho, still glad we tried it. The lumpia was yummy, a little on the salty side but very enjoyable. Now the calamari was the winner to me! I think it might be the best calamari I've had. Not only cos the calamari itself was good, not chewy, and crispy on the outside; but also everything else that came with it to cut the richness! I think it's some pickled onions, might be some kimchi too. Just try it! I would love to try the fried chicken also but they're sold out. Next time call them first to make sure they spare you some!

Having been to several Thai restaurants on the Central Coast, Tasty Thai is the cheapest so far out of all the ones we've been to here!
