A great meal after days of beach camping! We ordered the Pad Basil, Shrimp Rolls, and Mango Sticky Rice for dessert. The place is casual, clean, with an open kitchen where you can watch the food being prepared. Service was fast, friendly, and accommodating. Definitely a satisfying meal after a few days of camping!
Good Thai food for the area, but there are better for more food as well. The yellow curry did not have much chicken at all so that was disappointing. The pad Thai felt like it was missing something. The staff was very friendly and the restaurant was clean so that was very welcoming.
Ever since moving to Grover Beach, Bee House has been the Thai place I always crave. Most of the time I order the Tom Kha, Pad Prik Khing, or Pad Thai. They are probably the top three dishes (in my opinion) at Bee House. The service is amazing as well! We were able to briefly converse with one of the servers and we asked why they were closed for a little bit earlier in the month and they mentioned that most of the team went back to Thailand to visit their families which I thought was AWESOME. If you want great service and food, please go to Bee House!
Bee House is a small restaurant in a strip mall. We went in the late afternoon, so it was very easy to park. And at the time, we were the only customers. The ambience is more like a diner with a couple of tables. If you sat at the counter, you could watch them prepare your food. We sat at a table and the service was instant and attentive. The people who work here are very nice. The big deal at this restaurant is the food and it is fantastic. I had larb salad with pork and I loved it. I'm not a big eater so I brought some home and cooked it with an egg this morning and it was delicious! My dining companion had chicken, vegetables and rice and reported that it was delicious also. You can order these meals at various levels of spiciness. We had Singh Hai beer and it was a perfect complement to the meal. I would surely recommend this restaurant and I hope to come back.
This was my 4th time visiting the Bee House the service is always excellent, fast and friendly. Sue is always there to greet you with a friendly smile. The food is great hot fresh and flavorful! I recently moved from the East Coast and have been missing flavorful food like back home. Bee House is a staple if you want great, flavorful food!
The food is so yummy I like the ambience, you can watch them cook your food and they have my favorite Thai beverage "Singha" The service is always excellent and make you feel at home. When you visit Grover Beach in the California Central Coast and you are craving for some Thai food. I recommend you check out "Bee House"
Delicious boat noodle soup, papaya salad, and rolls. Decided to order one night while out of town and was pleasantly surprised by the complexities of flavor from the noodle soup. The papaya salad was fresh and very spicy (watch out for the bits of Thai chilis). The fresh spring rolls were crunchy and had a delicious peanut sauce to dip in.
Came here for dinner and was very happy with the overall experience! They're super busy, but we got seated immediately and waitress was nice and checked on us, but the food came out slower because they had a lot of takeout orders. We did family style: 1. Shrimp pad kee Mao (medium spice)--lots of veggies in the noodle dish and very flavorful; it definitely had a good kick in spice to it! Haha was definitely sipping a lot of water after haha 2. Chicken yellow curry--came with rice and lots of curry sauce; very flavorful and good! 3. Thai basil chicken (medium spice)--very spicy haha but so good! Paired so well with rice 4. Mango sticky rice--perfect dessert to end the dinner 5. Oh, forgot we got fried chicken wings for apps! It was so tender and crispy on outside :) super good!! Highly recommend and will come again!

My wife and I have been here several times now and have enjoyed dining here every time. The last time we visited, we ordered Tom Kha with chicken, pad see ew with beef, and mango sticky rice for dessert. All of it delicious. Now, is it the best Thai restaurant in the area? I believe it's the best in the 5 cities I've had. Definitely in my top 3, possibly top 2 in Santa Barbara and SLO counties.
Not too many options for food since most place were closed for New Years Day. There were a couple of Thai place around the area we wanted to try but we ended up here since the other places were closed. It's a quaint restaurant. If you have a big party you may be split up or have a wait. There is a bar seating type area where you can watch the chef cook. We ordered beef larb, drunken noodles, boat noodle, and chicken wings. Beef larb - 2.5/5. I think I'm just not destined to find a spot with good larb like my water store place. The bland was a bit more sour than I was have preferred. It was missing that rice power crunch as well. Boat Noodle - 3.5/5 one of the only fish that was finished. The kiddos loved it and ate every bite in their bowls. Full of flavor. Drunken Noodles - 2.5/5 the kiddos did not care for it and made a face. I have to remind them not to use those expressions lol. We did eat all the veggies in the dish but there was something about the noodles the kiddos did not care for. Normally they are all for those noodles. Chicken wings - 4/5. One of the only dish devoured by my kids in its entirely. The batter was the perfect amount with a nice crunch. The batter was thoroughly cooked as well. Once we got our food. The server did not come back to check in on us. The do have cute decor inside the restaurant.
Everything always goes well; truly. The food is delicious, perfectly spiced. If you need more heat let kitchen know and they turn it up deliciously. Service always with smiles, hellos, and quick. The ambiance is perfect for all. Diversity is welcome! My personal opinion, but it is thee best Thai food in Grover Beach. Pssst... if you're wondering why not much pics? Tried to see if I could find an email to contact the restaurant but couldn't find one. Hoping this reaches the owner. Found this little guy in my takeout order. Food is delicious aside from this surprise.

I'm not from the area & was craving some tasty food. Honestly I wasn't expecting much coming from SoCal where we have Asian food available almost everywhere. Stepping in, my boyfriend & I were greeted with a smile from the employees. They were kind, welcoming, & joyful. We ordered the beef pad see ewe & green curry with chicken. The pad see ewe was absolutely delicious. So flavorful, so tasty, & 100% would order again. Honestly one of the best pad see ewes I've ever had. The green curry was good as well! It was creamy, delightful, & perfect with the side of rice. The veggies along with the chicken were straight yummy. 100% recommend Bee House to anyone & everyone looking for authentic, delicious food. read more

Food: AMAZING Service: GREAT Ambiance: COMFORTABLE, SMALLish but cozy. I had the Pad Thai, and my wife had the Pad Basil with chicken. Both were fantastic. Service is great and this place is immaculate. Not a spec of dirt or grime anywhere, not even on the windowsills or bathroom. There is countertop, sushi style spectator seating right near the kitchen, about 6 to 8 seats, or you can catch a high top or regular table nearby. Looks like there's about eight tables total. Medium spicy here on my Pad Thai is probably leaning more towards very spicy. I would opt for mild and then use the hot condiments they provide at the table. Tons of jumbo sized perfectly cooked shrimp and fresh vegetables. I asked for extra sauce because some places go light and it makes it dry. Noodles were cooked to perfection. My wife's chicken was perfectly seasoned, very savory with a nice basil flavor. Sauce was delicious and the vegetables were cooked perfect. This place was so great we are going to plan a trip back to the area as we were traveling from out of state on a whim getaway, and we will definitely be returning to try something else on the menu. By far our favorite Thai restaurant in south county. We love the papaya salad, the shrimp spring rolls, and they have a plethora of gluten free options. They use corn starch not flour for certain dishes. Highly recommend this spot. The owners are a super sweet little family as well. Love supporting local read more

If you are craving Thai food, this is the "joint" to go to. I say that because the restaurant is not really a formal Asian style restaurant that you sometimes think of. When you walk in, you feel almost like you're in a burger and French fry joint. And that's where the similarity ends. While it does offer a small countertop so that you can sit at and get a great view of the chefs while they make your fresh made to order food. Or you can sit at one of the small tables located in the restaurant. Make sure you let the person taking your order if you want your food, mild , medium spicy or cha-cha cha-cha spicy! And if you're with someone like me, you can have it made mild, which has all the great flavor and a little bit of the spice, and you can add the extra hot spicy stuff to your plate. No wrong answer. I also noticed that a lot of the food is to go. So that's always an option for you as well. So try it, and let me know how you like it. And if you have another Thai place in this local area that you'd like me to try out, let me know that too. read more

Heard about this restaurant from a friend who said it's a great Thai restaurant! Got to Pismo today and decided to give it a try. I was not disappointed! Ordered one of their rice noodle soup dishes and shrimp rolls as an appetizer. Talked with staff and had an asian craft beer while waiting for my order. Staff was very friendly and the beer was delicious. My order was for take out and soup is a tough item to package for takeout. Sturdy plastic cups with snug fitting lids and a secure seal of saran wrap to keep it from leaking. Got it all home without any mess in my car. Then I got to try it. Soup was still piping hot and had a wonderful thai spice aroma. The shrimp rolls were delicious and the soup was spicy and delicious. This will be a regular stop for me when in Pismo read more
Excellent Thai cuisine located right off of Grand Ave. The service was wonderful with an extensive menu with something for everyone. I tried the crab fried rice and it was as amazing. The service was great, with plenty of seating. If you are visiting Grover Beach travel a down Grand a few blocks to check out this hidden gem. read more

MUST TRY!!!!! This is one of the first places i have been to that I have been surprised at HOW good their food is. It takes a lot for me to think that a food establishment has good food but truly bee house thai has done it. As soon as I tasted the broth in their boat noodle soup.... I knew i would be returning. It was so flavourful and so perfectly balanced with spice that it truly left the lingering taste in my mouth of me wanting more. Also, upon walking in, the place was packed, which I knew was a good sign because a packed place means good food. And although it was packed, my food still came out within 5-10 minutes of it being ordered, truly such exceptional service !! Their menu includes a variety of items but their soup was SO good I will definitely be returning for the soup alone. DEFINITELY something to check out if you're in the area and looking for some good thai food!! read more

I've had pad Thai hundreds of times and this might've been my fav. They apologized about taking so long one time and I literally giggled because my Thai tea which was soo delicious came out immediately and the rest of my food was piping on the table within minutes. I'm gonna think about the pad Thai for years, which is honestly a bummer, cos I don't rlly like the rest of this town so far. read more
