The food may be great, I will never know. I checked their website it said closed at 8:00 p.m. Then I phoned to double check. Answering machine said they were serving other customers but they closed at 8:00 p.m. When I showed up at 7:20 I was told they closed at 7:00 p.m. I explained my efforts to check closing time but the manager was, to say the least, unsympathetic. A quirky lunch place. A converted old gas station now a restaurant. The back half of an old car has the trash can sticking out the trunk. The chandelier has old keys hanging. The clock says "tastes better"! And the BBQ truck where they smoke the meat is outside. Brisket was tender and juicy and the ribs fall off the bone tender. YUM! The beans and the cheese corn were good, but kinda too spicy for me. Hubs had potato salad and coleslaw which he graciously shared with me. Our daughter had the pulled park sandwich that was HUGE and she loved it. Recommend it for delicious food and quirky decor. read more

Ate dinner here on the way from Arkansas to Texas. Has a shabby chic vibe. Got a 1/3 lb plate with brisket, twice baked potatoes and cheesy corn/rice dish, two porker sandwiches, and two cookies, all for ~$25. Quick service, and the porkers were great. Would recommend to get the larger 1/2 lb plate if sharing, and avoid cheesy corn/rice side, which had no flavor. read more

The meat was bland and lacking bbq flavor. The sides IMO were mediocre at best and the bake beans had a strange flavor. Overall it was not that good and would not recommend. On the positive side the meat was tender just disappointed in the overall execution of the BBQ itself. read more

I was looking for something local to try, and choose Naaman's BBQ. Best choice I have ever made in choosing a place to eat. The brisket, pulled pork, twice baked potatoes, and cheesy corn were all very melt in your mouth tasty. All of the servers are very friendly and the service was great! We were staying in a hotel across the street. So we went twice ! Once for lunch and one for supper . Excellent! Brisket is perfect melts in your mouth with perfect spice . Chicken pork ribs are all excellent . The corn is a cheesy rice casserole with chiles that taste like home . The meat and beans are also really good. Service was excellent . The lady that handled the dining room was like your mom getting you a spoon and soda refills even though she knew damn well you could get one yourself .:-) also make sure to get a craft soda the huckleberry one is so good ! read more

Stopped by Naaman's on a road trip to Memphis. Got a bit of everything, brisket, ribs, pulled pork, sausage, beans, cheesy corn and loaded mashed taters. Everything was extremely LEGIT!! The sweet and spicy sauce is very good but completely unnecessary as the meat, especially the brisket, is as moist and succulent as any I've encountered. This was a roadtrip dinner stop for us. We loved the unique restaurant decor of a renovated gas station. It was awesome! We had brisket. It was thick, juicy, and tender. Found this on Yelp coming back from Tennessee. My tastebuds are very happy! I had the Blasphemer, sliced brisket sandwich topped with slaw and mustard bbq sauce. It's been a long time since I've had a bbq sandwich that messy, that was worth it. Good firm texture but still very tender, with a great smoked flavor on a soft bun. As we were leaving, I saw a 2" bone in pork chop advertised. The counter person asked if I wanted to see it. I was afraid to because I knew if I saw it I'd be sorry later that I didn't get it. It is unfair for me to say that this is the best BBQ in town, as I have not yet tried all the regional BBQ establishments and that would be a blanket statement I couldn't back up. I have tried several of the other local favorites and I what I can say is that after eating at Naaman's, it would be hard for me to even consider trying out any other places. I am not a BBQ connossieur. I just moved to Texas recently. I have previously lived in states that do not have an established BBQ culture. I have though eaten at some of the more nationally well known BBQ establishments based on reputation (see other reviews) and I thought that in essence, the reputations were exaggerated. Moreover, I thought good BBQ places were all pretty much on par with each other. That was my mistake. Naamans is a hidden gem and a pleasant surprise. l have typically been a pork ribs kind of guy, and in my ignorance, I've always considered the brisket a second fiddle, a filler if you will. Naamans is the best beef brisket I have ever had and I make sure to get a couple pounds of it every time I go. Even as leftover the following day, it still is the best beef brisket I have ever had. The level of tenderness is beyond compare. Any more tender and it could dissolve like cotton candy. If you live in the Four States area and believe that ANY OTHER place is better than Naamans, I implore you to check this place out. A must try. read more
