Love this place near my work! One of the best Indian food trucks I have come across. I always get the paneer special of the day and its always really good. Love that it comes with rice and you have the option to buy naan for an additional cost. I could easily do with just the rice and paneer but the naan is so worth it. Freshly made as you are ordering. The line gets pretty long at noon. Highly recommend getting there when they open but if you are stuck in the line it is well worth the wait.

This is hands down the best Indian food truck in SLU. Rain or shine there is a queue of at-least 20 people any time between 11:30 to 1pm. My personal fav is generally the specials like the pepper chicken or the Andhra chicken. The naan is exceptional but one needs to have it while it's hot. I do not like their lamb and I hope they make a change on this. Note: I love lamb but not here. A couple of feedbacks is that they should incorporate naan in their basic meal and not charge extra, after all they call themselves naan-sense. Secondly, they should wrap the naan in silver foil or something because more often than not in Seattle's wet/cold weather the naan isn't as good by the time you head back to your base.

Now I see why there's always a mammoth line around the block every day. Authentic Indian food cooked exactly the way it should be. Despite the number of people in line, I find that it actually moves quite quickly and once my order is placed, I rarely wait more than 5 mins for my food. I've ordered both the butter chicken and kadai paneer in the past and both are excellent! Great portion size for the money and spot on flavor. The garlic naan is insanely good, but you better get there early if you want that - it sells out fast!

Wasn't sure what I was hungry for for lunch, so I walked around skimming menus. I wasn't sure if I wanted Indian food, but I saw that they had Pork Belly Curry on their special menu, and it sounded good. I went on my lunch pretty early, so there was no one in line. Ordered the Pork Belly Curry for $6.50 before tax and tip, which is a pretty decent price for a food truck. I went onto Yelp to "check-in," and then my food was already done! Way quicker than I expected, don't even know if i waited two full minutes, but then again, they were not busy at all at the time. The curry was better than I expected. It had good flavor and nice spices.

Nice Food truck we stumble across while in downtown Seattle had a decent size line and the misses love Naan so why the line moved quick all the free smells were amazing and as for the well it was delicious I had Lamb Meatball curry it's a must try for sure Tia had Butter chicken and her response was this is so bomb as she was drooling lol so this place gets 9 thumps up from me please do yourself a favor if you dig Indian Cuisine swing bu Naansense

I'm not sure what happened on my last visit as the curries were on the colder side. When you arrive parking can be a bit difficult, there is a small parking lot out front, if that's full you'll need to find street park. The restaurant itself feels warm, casual, and bustling. Queen you walk in you have the option to sit on the backyard patio or in the dining room. We opted to sit in the dining room as it just felt more intimate and the vibe we were wanting for dinner. For our appetizer, we started with the Samosas (Two crispy pastries filled with your choice of freshly mixed vegetables or delicately spiced lean ground beef) which were excellent. Next we ordered the garlic naan, chicken tikka masala, and butter chicken. The naan and samosas showed up piping hot but the chicken tikka masala & butter chicken were cold. I probably should have said something as I was disappointed but was too hungry to care at that moment. If I'm in the Seattle area I may stop by Taste of India again.

We were really hungry and decided to join them as I've had this spot saved too as the reviews were pretty positive. They were definitely very popular but we were put on the waitlist but I think it would be helpful if they took peoples' numbers as apparently they would just shout it outside. We weren't aware as we went somewhere else to wait as it was very cold. When we arrived, a different employee started cleaning a table for us and we waited but then the employee who did put us down was frustrated with us as he called us and no one of us answered cause we were elsewhere. We weren't sure if we had a spot after that but luckily the employee who was cleaning was done and offered that spot. They also did drop a glass cup after cleaning nearby which was concerning but they did clean it up right away. Once we were seated, it took almost a half an hour to get some to take our order. Luckily we did get our water refilled decently but there were a few times where our empty glasses were seen and ignored. I definitely think there should be staff training as it was non-existent. I understand being busy but you're across the convention center so it should be expected. The music was also so low I didn't know it was even on, they have a loud fan going on and even their TVs have no volume. It's a pretty awkward ambiance, especially with how they try to look like they are a upscale restaurant. It did take some time to get food and it seems like the kitchen was frustrated too as I heard the bell signaling food being ready several times. The food was actually good, especially for the price. The portions are generous. We never had paratha but our friend recommended it so we got the aloo paratha while my boyfriend got their butter masala and I got their tikka masala extra hot. It wasn't really spicy at all, definitely nothing like what I've had at other Indian restaurants. The curries were flavorful with good pieces of chicken. We might return if we need something nearby but there are definitely better options that I would walk for.

But Indian-Nepali Kitchen is one of Seattle's most sought-after spots for affordable eats. But don't sleep on the rest of INK's broad menu of South Asian fare -- The Infatuation magazine even considers it to be one of the best restaurants in the city, full stop. INK shares a strip mall with a bodega and nail salon. Black cushioned chairs are pressed up to lacquered wood tables, and the tan walls are decorated with an assortment of cultural tchotchkes. Bollywood music videos play on the main dining room's single flatscreen, while images of Nepali mountain ranges flash on the screen in the accessory dining room. My partner and I dined at INK for weekday dinner on our drive up to the North Cascades, and we had the dining room to ourselves. Only a handful of takeout patrons rolled through during our visit. We kicked off our meal with the Mixed Appetizer. The Vegetable Pakora component was a consensus hit. The rich, crispy bites functioned well on their own and were fun conduits for the fragrant mint sauce and the tart tamarind sauce. In comparison, the samosas were forgettable, sporting overwhelmingly thick shells and hit-or-miss fillings. Of the three varieties, only the earthy ground lamb was worth finishing. Next, we tried the Combo Momo platter. Admittedly, the signature momos were surprisingly mediocre. Across the varieties, the wonton-like Fried Momo was the clear winner with its exciting texture without overpowering the delicate filling flavor. Meanwhile, the standard steamed momos tasted like something out of the frozen section, the Chili Momos were dominated by fast-food-quality sweet-and-sour sauce, and the Sandheko Momos had an unassuming, generally savory curry flavor (which was far outdone by the tangy side of house chutney). For our entree, we were very impressed by the Butter Curry Lamb. The thick curry broth was vibrant and dynamic; we sipped it by the spoonful. The tough lamb felt like an afterthought. The Garlic Basil Bread wasn't particularly basil-y, but the naan slices were pillowy, flaky, and addictively buttery. To drink, we shared an Iced Chai. The tea was more spiced than sweet; the average Starbucks patron might turn their nose up to it, but the light drink was a welcome contrast to the dense entrees. For dessert, we opted for the Gulab Jamun: the ping pong-sized cheese balls were deceptively dense, each packing a rich, syrupy punch. The service was quick and efficient, and our bill worked out to about $75 (after tax and tip). The flavors topped out at very good, but never quite achieved greatness. The portions were generous -- we probably could have done without the momos and still had a satisfyingly hearty meal. For a no-frills meal that will, at a minimum, be tasty, INK is a safe bet.
