Overpriced food with very bad service. Avoid this restaurant. My husband and I came on a Saturday night with reservation, waited 15-20 minutes after we arrived because our table wasn't ready. Once eventually seated we looked over menu and tried to order appetizer but then we were informed they were out of that item. They failed to mention this at the beginning. Once questioned if they were out of other items our server then mentioned yes there were multiple entrees they did not have- this should have been stated at the beginning. Our second choice appetizer of chicken potstickers was horrible and pitiful size for the price. They were burnt and barely any sauce at all. Do not get this appetizer. Our entrees of pot pie and salmon were subpar and overpriced for what they were as well. They both were bland and lacking much flavor and salmon was over cooked. I am staying up in Helen for the night for work, and was trying to find a good place to go to with quality food but that also can work with my dietary restrictions. I came in around 430, right before the dinner rush. My server was very friendly and attentive, taking the time to make sure everything was perfect for me. After I ordered the owner actually came out and introduced himself, and we had a nice little chat. He is super friendly! For my dinner, I ordered sides: mashed potatoes, garlic cheddar grits, panseared green beans, and Rice pilaf. The rice pilaf was good, but the green beans, grits and potatoes were great. The green beans had a smoky flavor to them, and were rich and buttery. The portion size was great, I couldn't even finish all the food. This is a shame because their dessert sounded amazing. Service was excellent! Food Amazing- Live music that was soothing and relaxing! We were told by our b&b desk lady that this was a place to get great food close by! She was right. The lighting of the restaurant was dimmed but nit too dark to set a relaxed atmosphere. The manager or owner came to our table and showed his waiter the Irish way to pour a canned Guinness which was entertaining and super kewl. I'd never eaten here before, and was pretty tipsy, so I was in a critical mood when I arrived. That said, I didn't hate it. We sat down immediately, which I understand is rare for a party of four just showing up at 8:00pm on a Friday with no reservation. It did take them awhile to figure out who was our server and a couple of additional trips for the waitress to take our order, but no harm done there, I suppose. I was very pleased that they carried Red Hare lager, which is local to Marietta. I was, however, disappointed that Sweetwater was nowhere to be found. I ordered the pork chop and got it with mashed potatoes. I was a little disappointed because I'm used to a 5-oz chop being an inch thick with the bone removed. These looked like a TV-dinner from the 1950's, but the gravy stood out to me as very tasty. One of us got the fish special, which was OK, and someone got a steak, which they didn't complain about. Great experience last night at Mully's! We are visiting Helen, Georgia for the first time and due to all of the great reviews, we decided to give this restaurant a try. I'm so glad that we did! We sat outside on the front porch, which we were happy to do in this Covid environment. We started out with the crab ravioli and then ordered the Caesar salad and shared the trout entrée. It was all absolutely amazing. We also got the berry bread pudding per the suggestion of the server for dessert... All I can say is wow, probably the best dessert we've ever had. If you want a delicious meal, then you need to make a stop here! This is a hidden gem its definitely a must if you are in Helen Georgia. The food is delicious we had the trout and grits, the rib eye was excellent, and the spaghetti bolognese was amazing! The service is great, the staff is very friendly, the owner makes you feel welcomed! You get that hometown feeling once you walk in. Every time we are here at Helen this is a must! We had an amazing time at Mully's on NYE weekend (Saturday). Wait of about 30 minutes bc the place was PACKED but we went across the street and bought some pottery at a cute pottery place and grabbed a drink at the bar. Best meal we had on our whole trip--maybe our best dining experience ever. I had the shrimp and grits--it was perfect! My boyfriend had New York Strip and baked potato--he raved about it. I am from Mississippi and eat Louisiana shrimp and grits all the time--this topped Louisiana! Somewhat loud music on Sunday evening, but not unbearable. What was unacceptable was that my husbands salmon was raw in the middle. Completely, entirely uncooked. When I called the server over and drew his attention to it he only offered to take it back to the kitchen and ask the chef to put it back on the grill. If he had ordered sushi that's one thing, but neither of us are interested in sushi in the least and that's not what was ordered and the server, in my opinion should have offered to replace the salmon filet entirely or comp the meal if that were declined by the patron. I was shocked when neither of those were options mentioned by the server. My husband is too nice and would have likely declined both options, but it should still be offered. He ended up being sick that night and couldn't sleep. We both thought it was likely related to the uncooked fish. My chicken Marsala was okay. The grits fritters were delicious. Not sure if this establishment offers desserts, but we weren't offered any, so unable to comment on any sweet treats. Definitely won't be going back to this place. Ever. read more

We fell in love with this restaurant. One of the best in town. It's definitely not a tourist trap. I felt like we were eating dinner at a family house. The food was great. The drinks were great and the wine selection quite decent with a nice selection from local wineries. The crab cake appetizer was delicious as were the entrees. We had the ribeye steak and the trout with lemon butter and capers. Very nicely done. Dessert did not disappoint. The Creme Brule was delicious. Mully, the owner of the establishment, a very pleasant and welcoming gentleman, came over to greet us and we had a nice chat. Had a very unremarkable visit to Mully's last night. The wedge salad was good - hard to mess that up. All the other tables received bread, we got none. My husband ordered the ribeye steak, commented that the baked potato on his plate was far better than the meat (when we dined there before, he had one of his favorite steaks ever). My shrimp and grits were good enough - the grits were actually great and the shrimp were prepared well; the sauce was a bit bland. I prefer my home recipe. Wine was not very good for the price. And we weren't offered dessert - the check just showed up. And I had to request a refill of my water glass. I'd say the service (or lack there of) was a big contributor to the poor experience. Was happy to see such a vibrant crowd on a Thursday evening. Great for the Nacoochee Valley. But we'll not be back anytime soon, sorry to say. read more

Visiting Helen, GA for my wife's Bday and decided to splurge here for a little surf and turf. We ordered the crab cakes, ribeye and salmon. Ribeye was good and cooked to a perfect medium (pink center), the crab cakes on the otherhand did not remind me of a Maryland-style, had too much breading, the crab was not well defined and the pepper sauce was too overpowering. Lastly the salmon was decent, but would have rather tried something else in retrospect. Now for service... Our waiter - tall, young gentlemen with a bow tie was attentive, informative and pleasant overall, he provided great service. Now for the main reason for the review, the OWNER.... seemed like a nice guy, there were probably a totally of 3 tables (us included), and he attentively made his rounds to all of them except ours, making friendly conversation and asking how the meals were... this is a great quality, don't get me wrong, but when he blatantly skipped our table and made second and third rounds back to the other tables, bringing a couple freebies and such it turned out being extremely rude and degraded our overall experience here. It's not that we expect personal attention from the owner, however, when he introduces himself to every other table and skips one, it feels a little uncomfortable, especially when there are only 3 tabes.
