Nada provided last minute alterations for my daughter wedding dress at a reasonable price and did a great job. Thank you Nada!

Nada was truly brutal and mean to my fiancée. My fiancee was looking to get her dress hemmed for our wedding, but considering this was her first go, she walked in for an appointment to see how it worked. Nada told her that she can complete the work order on September 1st, which is 2 days before our wedding. She said she was too busy to do it earlier, even when my fiancee asked if it can done earlier. My fiancee was hesitant at first due to the limited timeline, but went ahead. After a few days, my fiancee decided that she preferred to find a place to do the work order so she can have the dress ready at least 1 week in advance. She then called Nada and asked to get her dress back. Nada was angry, rude, and demeaning in responding then asked that my fiancee pay a measuring fee. My fiancee, like I mentioned, was a bit lost and asked that she wished she knew about the measuring fee beforehand, so she can make a decision rather than moving forward without knowing all the charges. Nada berated her and repeated that it was the industry standard, and that my fiancee was selfish. Making my fiancee really nervous to come into the shop. When my fiancee entered the shop, Nada yelled at her and made insults, and stated that she never want to see my fiancee's face again. Nada made my fiancee cry in the end. The one star review is for Nada's terrible conduct, unprofessionalism and nasty demeanor. The only positive thing is that my fiancee was able to get her dress back in one piece. My feedback: 1. Be upfront about all of the costs involved with measuring, hemming, and etc. on the first. Nada was not as she never told my fiancee about measuring fee. "Industry standard" or whatever, it was a first time experience for my fiancee so do not assume anything with the customer. My fiancee was completely unaware about the measuring fee, and after Nada's conduct, she felt she was baited with the unknown charges. That is just terrible business on Nada's part. 2. If someone wants their dress back, don't yell on the phone and make insults. Make it work out, and if there are any charges, make sure it's communicated in advance. No need to scold the customer - get business done quick, and return the dress back. Nada could've owned her mistake in not communicating about the charges by waiving, or at least asked nicely for the measuring fee. My fiancee would've gladly paid if she wasn't scolded or screamed at, via phone and in person. She did not want to because 1. She was not satisfied with the customer experience/process, thus she had the right to not pay, 2. since ultimately the mistake was on Nada's part. In this situation, Nada did not owe her mistake, and rudely talked about the measuring fee. 3. Treat not just customers, but everyone with respect. Business can be tough, but there is zero excuse for Nada to yell at my fiancee, especially in front of other customers, and make insults, ending with "I never want to see your face again", making her cry. I hate writing reviews like this, but what Nada did is unacceptable, and I hope no customers have to ever go through what my fiancee did. This experience on my fiancee's part is a thorn in our whole wedding planning, which has been going fantastic. I hope Nada is able to send an apology to my fiancee, and admit to her mistakes publicly on Yelp, and on Google Maps, so to make sure she maintains customers' confidence in her business. I had to fly overseas in 2 days where I had to attend a wedding. I bought a dress right before I had to leave, but that beautiful dress had to have some alterations. I called Nada's Tailoring and Alterations and Msr Nada took me in. She's not only agreed to fix my dress, she made sure the day before I was leaving to try it on and tell her if there is anything else needed to be done more. I needed two dresses altered in time for a big party I was having in 4 days. I got the dresses online and they needed help to look good. I called Nada and she said she could do it. I brought them both over on Tuesday and told her I needed them no later than Saturday but it would be better if it were Friday. She said she would try for Friday but promised Saturday. She called me early Friday and both dresses were done. She did a great job and was reasonable in her pricing. Hello, I always see reviews for places and they are pretty accurate from my experience, i normally don't leave a review unless its really bad or really good. So Nada, when i tell you she is amazing, SHE IS AMAZING. My wedding is sept 3, 2022. I got my dress from LA and i brought it back home around July. I knew of alteration places and called thinking i had time, majority of the places i called, were all fully booked for the year and i was STRESSING. I didn't know what to do, i was on yelp trying to find places with good rating and good reviews i didn't just want to trust or give my dress to anyone. I came upon Nada's Alterations, saw the reviews and rates, gave her a call and luckily she was available to see me and take the time to alter my wedding dress. She makes you feel comfortable, she is honest, and makes sure every detail you want or need are to the extent for her. From the smallest detail to the biggest. She altered my dress to perfection. The picture on the left is the dress when it arrived at the store i got it in LA. And to the right you can see she made it shorter on the bottom because it was long, she added bussels and she added straps! I was going to leave it strapless and i originally told her if i can have detachable straps that way i can put them on for the ceremony and take them off for reception. But the moment she added the straps i told her please leave them on i loved my dress even more with the straps. Because of her my dress became even better and better. I highly HIGHLY recommend her for all your alterations. Communication is key make sure you address everything you want and she will achieve that to her best work. I contacted Nada about wedding dress alterations on a timeline crunch - I had an amazing dress, but it needed alterations and the wedding day was rapidly approaching. I reached out first via message and Nada responded the same day. I called and made an appointment and after putting on my dress, we discussed alterations and Nada started pinning the fabric. I was assured the dress would be ready on time a week before my wedding date. Much to my pleasant surprise, Nada called me a couple days prior to my appointment to pick up my dress and let me know she finished! We confirmed that I'd be at her shop on the prearranged date and time to pick up my dress. When I arrived, I tried on the dress and it was beautiful! Nada noticed a couple of adjustments she wanted to make to the hem and worked her magic right then and there so I wouldn't have to leave and return again later, which I greatly appreciated. I can't say enough positive things about Nada and her business. I noticed a variety of people dropping off items and picking up pieces ranging from pants to dress jackets - I'd feel confident bringing other items to Nada in the future. Okay this lady is very sweet, has great pricing, and I just dropped off some pants to her today and this is the third time I've gone back. She first did a princess dress for me when my daughter was 3 and the dress was way too long off amazon but my daughter would have lost it if I tried for a different dress. Because my daughter was so upset about wanting the dress back the first time she rushed it out for me within a week. The second time I brought a skirt and she was booked up so it took a couple weeks but that was totally fine I didn't need it right away and she did a great job. Today I dropped off two pairs of pants and I already know how well she does I mean that princess dress I dropped off was like 3 layers of fabric so I know if she did just an amazing job on that this would be so easy. Her schedule can get very busy but I'm glad she has a lot of business. She does a wonderful job and is really just helpful. If you use her please don't also forget to tip her! She deserves it considering her prices are so affordable and reasonable. I don't need clothing hemmed very often but as long as I live in Arden/Sac I'd keep returning when I do. read more
