I tried NADC (not a damn chance) burger last night and it was good. Their menu is limited - offering only their signature NADC burger and beef tallow fries. They had canned beers, one canned cocktail, and local Denver soft drinks. The menu in-store listed a few cocktail drinks, but they were not selling them last night, not sure if they actually serve liquor. I have to say, I tried the Denver Diet Cola and it was awful - tasted like a stevia sweetened root beer, not cola at all. Now for the food- my partner ordered an NADC burger, which is a double smash patty with all of the fixins. It was good but a little greasy. I ordered a single patty cheeseburger ("kids burger) and it was good, but a little on the dry side. The beef tallow fries were extra crispy and I really loved the spiced ketchup! The wagyu meat was good- but I didn't find the meat to be exceptionally different. The toppings on the burger make it stand out. Overall, interesting to try. Easy menu with smashed style burgers with one or two patties, double fried fries in tallow fat, Rocky Mountain Soda, draft & canned beers and cocktails. Plus a cookie for dessert. Was looking forward to coming here for a little while now, the pictures/vids online looked incredible and the promise of a "wagyu smash burger" seemed like we'd be in for a good treat. The burger was hot and fresh and dripping with fat. It was definitely wagyu. But it was very difficult to enjoy the meat due to the heavy amount of pickles and cheese/sauce. I'm really surprised that we came in for a wagyu burger and ended up with a pickle burger. And these were like some weird pickles, not the fresh kosher dill ones I typically enjoy on a burger. And the cheese or cheese sauce on the burger resembled cheese wiz, and was also loaded onto the burger. When the dominant pickle taste combined with the cheese wiz and the fat from the wagyu, the outcome was somewhat gross honestly. We also ordered the loaded fries, but they were loaded with the same pickles and cheese wiz as the burger that I already wasn't a fan of. I wish they could do something a little different with the loaded fries. The bill came to nearly $60 for two burgers, loaded fries, a soda, and tip. The grossness of the burger resembled more like a cheap, late-night fast food option. But these were gourmet burger prices and it certainly was not a gourmet burger. I do think there was quality meat on there and the preparation was on point, the bun it was on was also great. So there is potential here, perhaps if they added a couple more burger options to the menu that better highlight the meat, and better fries, then we'd be in business. read more

Known for their wagyu smash burgers, we traveled to check this place out. Walk in and head straight to the back to see the menu board... with one kind of burger... the NADC burger. I got mine without the jalapeño (which I was told it was a flavorful, not spicy jalapeño), he got it without onion. It melted into my mouth. It had a good flavor, chew, and crisp. We ordered fries to share as a side and they were crispy and didn't get soggy. Homemade sauce and ketchup was delicious. This shop feels like more bar than restaurant but the wall is lined with tables facing the bold wall artwork. Would recommend! read more

Stopped by before a hockey game and figured it would be fairly quick as there were only 6 people in line in front of us. It took over :20 minutes for the 2 people working to take our order and another :20 minutes for our food to come out. I was told they were short staffed. Now for the food. The burgers were good but felt thrown together and they are $16 for 1 burger! 2 burgers and 1 order of fries was $40 and definitely not worth it. All the tables were in need of being wiped down as the 2 people working were struggling to keep up with the orders coming in. I will never go back to this place again! Ambiance is a cool vibe in the beautiful little Larimer Square area. They have a few TV's for games and events to watch. Service is counter style. Go up to the counter and order your burger/fries and then they calm your order by name. Fast and friendly! This burger!!! It was perfect! They absolutely nailed it! Sauce, toppings, bun, wrapper. Heard mixed reviews about this place but my experience was fantastic!! Found some decent parking nearby for Saturday night and there was no line around 9:30p when we arrived. Lots of seating and even a video game table station. Their menu is very simple, just one burger really, and you can remove toppings as desired. I skipped the pickles, jalapeños and the secret sauce and am so happy i did. The spicy ketchup was way better than their sauce. The burger itself was exactly the way I like a smash burger, crispy on the edges and so well seasoned. I loved the gooey cheese, that really made this the perfect burger experience. I love that they use caramelized onions instead of raw onions as well. The fries were just OK, I definitely come back for another burger though. At $16 for just the burger, it wasn't the cheapest around, especially since the fries are à la carte, but I really liked it, and I loved that they were open a little later, so they will definitely be seeing me soon. read more

I had a really disappointing experience at NADC Burger. I ordered a burger and very clearly asked for no onions. Somehow, my order was interpreted as no bun, and I received a burger without a bun. When I went back to let them know the order was wrong and asked if they could remake it correctly, the employee who helped me, Jacob, was extremely rude and argumentative. Jacob insisted that he specifically remembered me ordering the burger with no bun. I find that incredibly hard to believe, because who orders a burger with no bun when that's not what they asked for? Regardless of how the misunderstanding happened, I was the customer standing there with an incorrect order, and I simply wanted it fixed. Instead of apologizing or trying to resolve the issue they just wanted to argue. The attitude I received when I brought the mistake to their attention was completely unacceptable. Mistakes happen and I understand that. What matters is how a restaurant handles those mistakes. Unfortunately NADC burger failed miserably when it came to customer service and making things right. read more

I don't see why people are complaining about the burger being expensive - it's not your regular burger, it's wagyu beef and you can tell the difference with the first bite! What a great addition to the downtown late night bites scene! The location is perfectly located downtown in walking distance to a lot of places. I typically like a burger with lettuce and tomato for some added freshness, but this burger did not need it! It wasn't greasy or too salty! It was perfectly balanced with the meat to bun ratio. The caramelized onions and peppers gave nice textural contrast and taste. They chose the correct soft bun for such a tender and delicate wagyu patty. Will definitely go back for just the burger! The beast mode fries are a good play on the beloved animal style fries. Here they use thicker and crispy fries which I enjoyed, but definitely need to be eaten right away. SPACE: Primely located within Larimer, the unassuming exterior, leads to a dimly intimate, yet colorful space - highlighting graffiti art, snowboarding and chill vibes. A variety of seating options are available for parties of all sizes. Mom and I snagged a table with a pleasant view of the entire space and where the magic happens - aka the kitchen! SIPS: We opted to sip on the local soda brand offered - Rocky Mountain Soda Co, and thoroughly enjoyed their version of Diet Cola. Soda and a few beers are also offered. SERVICE: It's an order at the counter and wait for your name to be called kind of spot, so we did just that. The various people we encountered throughout our visit were insanely friendly, welcoming and offered conversation, which made the experience even more fun. SUSENTANCE: The reason for being here. The menu offers 2 items - burgers and fries and is a no-frills kind of place, so come hungry and ready to feast. Each burger features a double smash wagyu beef patty, cheese, pickles and jalapenos, sauteed onions - smothered in their special sauce! The burger rings in at $15+ each but for the quality of ingredients and quantity, it's well worth the price! The fries are offered as OG regular or Beast Mode - aka - loaded with chopped pickles and jalapenos, special sauce and cheese. We opted for the loaded fries, because YES PLEASE - and found them to be the best part of the meal. Because they are fried in duck fat, the crispiness of the fries is unmatched! So rich, greasy and delicious! The burger was very good as well - gooey, greasy and dripping from all the right places - and the first bite was delicious. But the sweet and tangy taste from the jalapenos and pickles threw me right off and I couldn't shake the taste from my mouth. Today after having horrible service at a nearby restaurant that my girlfriend and I walked out of we then stumbled into NADC. When walking in the smell of the beef hits you. We both ordered burgers and fries. I had the monster fries and she had the regular fries. The burger had a great flavor and the perfect amount of cheese and sauce. Been to the OG one in Austin and this one does not skip a beat. When places start blowing up like NADC, and move to multiple cities, you usually get less quality. That is NOT the case with NADC. This was fire!! Just as good as the first time I had it in Austin. This location is great big enough to carry a large amount of people inside and also a massive patio to sit. Doubling up the patties makes the meat the star and it is delicious. The burger is meaty while also being perfectly proportioned; simple sauce, just the right amount of cheese, and onion/pickle/jalapeno? mix making this extremely flavorful. The double fried fries are extra crispy and delicious. The animal style is worth the price upgrade, but the fries on their own would be great. They have a slightly Smokey ketchup, not sure if house made, that is great with the crispiness. Tasty beers on tap. Laid back environment. There is nothing not to like here. Burger was VERY GOOD, it had the nice lace edge I've been dreaming about. The flavor was bomb. The meat was perfectly cooked and the onions they put on the burger were delicious. The jalapeños had the perfect amount of spice and weren't too crunchy or too soft, they were just great. The fries were battered and crunchy. A couple things to note that don't impact the review at all but are things I would have liked to know: - the ketchup isn't your typical ketchup, it's a bit smoky and more briny than a typical ketchup BUT I was a fan - the special sauce doesn't taste like a typical special sauce, it's slightly sweet/tangy and I thought it was yummy and refreshing to try a new burger sauce (most special sauces taste the same) - the pickles aren't my favorite, they're typical cheap burger shop pickles rather than homemade but I would just request the burger with no pickles personally.
