Came here because I love being able to customize my own bowl. So I decided to make a low carb bowl with no rice, etc. I don't think I got a great serving of steak, I should have asked for double portion. The food was delicious. One thing, after my meal was over I needed to use the bathroom. One of the bathroom stalls was "out of order" and the other one didn't have any toilet paper or paper towels. Ok I love Naf Naf. I have tried probably all of their locations and the quality and flavor just hit every single time. Their spicy hummus bowl is so beyond delicious. The falafel adds the perfect crunch and flavor, combine that with all the pickled goodies and veggies with tahini, the new moroccan sauce and harissa, omg. You have the perfect bowl with incredibly flavorful bites. My husband loves getting the chicken shawarma hummus bowl or plate. I love that it comes with a side pita that is always perfectly soft and toasted. The naf naf fries if you're feeling indulgent add the perfect crisp to the bowls. My review is based on the extremely creepy behavior of one of the long-time workers. I stopped going there more than a year ago until he found me on a bus and kept harassing me, asking for my social media accounts and whether I was married and where I lived. This location is so weird anytime you have some sort of coupon that Naf Naf sends out. I like coming here because it's easy to drive and park but the people who own this place act like you're committing a crime by trying to use a deal their own company is sending out. A million questions each time but then they don't even know you have to login into the app to see the coupon. If I was in charge of Naf Naf I'd call this location and give them some serious training. read more

This place was very quiet. Went after work and only had 1 customer eating with her child. Not too sure if there's much customers that come. I haven't been to a Naf in a long time. I created my own plate. The plate seemed like a good size when empty. But once they started putting my choices on the plate didn't seem like a lot of food. Create your own plate was 2 proteins, 2 sides and 2 sauces. I chose falafel and chicken swarma, chopped salad, pickles, hummus and tahini sauce. I ordered fries too, which was a pass for the next time. It was all ok. Nothing that made me say wow that's good. It's a fast food place so nothing to fret over. I would come back for a stuffed pita. The create your own plate isn't something I would have again. There is a loyalty program to get points. I signed up right before i went in. Don't want to waste 17 points. The subway of middle eastern food. The food isn't bad at all. The falafels might look overcooked, but are tender, juicy & delicious. The chicken schwarma pita however didn't have nearly enough chicken. Still, it is fairly priced and offers some variety from the usual cuisine in the area. The place itself is very modern and for the most part clean. There was an obvious small pile of food on the floor in the dining area that they neglected no matter how many times they walked past it which is kind of wild because the place was empty almost the entire time I was there. The bathroom is a mess as well and definitely needs to be cleaned. read more

The variety of toppings like the pickles, the pickle, cabbage, cucumber salad, and the onions were great and then they put whatever toppings on them that you like and don't get me talking about their yellow rice. The manager takes such good care of the store. Really friendly service and nice, clean space. Everything we had was delicious - falafel, chicken sharwarma, steak, hummus, baba ganoush. Even the cabbage and cucumber salad were good. The pita was as pillowy as advertised. It's a chain but ran like a family, local diner. The portion size was good for us. We were stuffed. Not sure if other locations have larger services as some of the reviews suggested, but given this location in South Loop, we thought it was a great deal. Will be back! read more

SHAWARMA ME I was so excited to see Naf Naf Grill open up in the South Loop. If you have never had Naf Naf then you are missing some amazing food. This Middle Eastern restaurant was started by the late Saher Sander. He opened up his first location in an old closed down 1,200 square foot Taco Bell in Naperville, Illinois. The current brand now has 39 locations in 7 different states and this location in the South Loop is the newest addition to this fantastic rising brand. This new location is so clean and honestly it makes the best Pita out of all of there other locations I have ever eaten at. It was so fluffy, soft and full of air. It also looked like someone from corporate was still training the staff when we visited. I hope they took great notes and continue to make the pita like this. My whole family raved about how good the pita was. We love to order the pick two plate! We get the chicken shawarma and steak as our two proteins. The platter is then loaded full of fantastic treats including hummus, purple cabbage, mixed salad, middle eastern pickles, basmati rice and the fantastic pita bread. It is such a delicious meal.  If you have never had Naf Naf then I highly recommend it. Every time we order their food it is always fresh and full of flavor. I always get nervous ordering at a new restaurant but the staff here was amazing and delivered some fantastic food. I will make one note. When we order the pick 2 plate at other locations they allow us to have all four sauces per plate and if I order it online it lets me order all four sauces with no extra charge. This new location would only allow us to pick two sauces per plate and they wanted to charge us for additional sauces. That was unfortunate and I hope they conform to the other locations. Two sauces are not enough for the plate to enjoy all of the amazing meats and veggies.  Welcome to the South Loop Naf Naf! I am sure once people know that you are located here there will be a line out the door. The location is beautiful and I love how clean everything is. It is fun to watch them make your food fresh in this open kitchen concept. You can even watch them bake the pita bread too. There is also a huge free parking lot which is always a bonus. The late founder Saher Sander created such an amazing brand but he was taken from us way too soon at age 47 in 2018. He started this brand in 2009. He would be so proud to see how far it has come. Naf Naf cares about one thing and that is the love of sharing food. Naf Naf means to fan the flame and this brand is only getting hotter with every location they open. This place is conveniently near the Jewel grocery store. It's clean and comfortable inside. I had "Build you own plate" with falafel (protein #1) and chicken shawarma (protein #2). It's a moderate portion size for the price considering that the pita was complimentary. I also had an add-on of Tahini sauce (+$1) and I liked its sesame taste. I used to like Naf Naf and I was so excited when a location opened up in the South Loop. However, I just went to get a hummus bowl and they pull out a bowl that is literally half the size of the usual bowl. I am like "dude that is not the bowl that you usually use" and he's is like "it is." Meanwhile, I am thinking I was literally at this same location about a month or two ago when the bowl was twice the size and now you are telling me I am delusional? Well, he proceeds to fill this bowl with half of the toppings being stingy AF at the same time and I end up spend exactly how much I usually spend to get half the food. I realize there is inflation going on but dont give me half the food and act like I'm delusional. Imagine going to Chipotle and expecting a big ass burrito only to get a burrito half the size for the same price. SMH. read more

Such a bummer, naf naf has great food, but this place really skimps on serving size. The last few times I've gone the bowl has been less than half way full. It's so little food for the amount of money you pay. This most recent time we also ordered fries and we both laughed when we saw how few fries were included. This was my first time going to Naf Naf Grill the customer service wasn't too friendly, they wasn't mean or anything just no nice greeting or smiles, before taking your order. food is not hot it was lukewarm the chicken had a tasty flavor, steak and rice was dry. I'm disappointed I have to write this review, but after a few stops by this location, I'm left with no choice. My first experience at Naf Naf was at the Naperville location many many years ago. It was delicious and the quantity of food matched the price. At this location, I have been overwhelmingly disappointed by the portions. Every rice platter/bowl that I've purchased for me and my family has barely been filled. I originally attributed it to one or two servers, but it's a consistent problem. It barely fills the container, making you wonder why you're paying $11 for such a small plate. On the very last occasion, I ordered two sides of couscous, only to come home with it uncooked/completely dry. It was rock hard, as if it was never cooked. The manager very kindly offered to exchange it, but I live too far to drive back. He also shared how to cook it at home, but again, it really shouldn't come down to that. You are better off going to Roti or some other place where the price will match the food portions. read more
