I had also asked for a French tip pedicure ($10 extra) with regular polish & my technician was a little taken aback that I didn't want gel, she then informed me that regular polish would come off within a couple days in a french tip, which I didn't really understand because I always get french tip in regular polish at other places or even do this myself and it has always lasted me weeks even a month if I was pushing it. No base coat was used just polish & top coat & the finish of the nails aren't smooth at all, it still feels like a rough filed nail but the French tip itself was cute. Overall I paid $45 including tip which wasn't what I'd expect to pay for a service that was done in 30min, didn't include a massage & quality of nail finish isn't the best. I thought the technician was super sweet I enjoyed our convo, the other ladies who work there were also welcoming.. my tech did a great job with her technique however there are other places within the same radius that could offer more for the price you pay & do a little better of a job.

First off, the cleanliness is top-tier. Everything feels sanitized, organized, and well-maintained, which is something I really pay attention to. The atmosphere is calm and relaxing, not rushed or chaotic like a lot of other salons. The technicians are incredibly detail-oriented and take their time. My pedicure always comes out flawless, from the nail shaping to the polish application. No streaks, no rushing, no shortcuts. They actually care about the quality of their work, and it shows. The massages? Easily one of the best parts: perfect pressure and long enough to actually feel relaxing. What really keeps me coming back is how consistent they are. I never have to worry about getting a "bad" service depending on the day. It's always a great experience. If you're looking for a spot that's clean, professional, and delivers beautiful results every time, this is it. Definitely my go-to for pedicures.

She ensures that you are truly satisfied with your service and experience. Cindy is an amazing nail tech and always nails it with my designs. If you want to make an appointment you can text Julie which is convenient since you can send her design requests in advance of your appointment. My natural nails have improved so much even with getting gel x as they listened when I explained that I have sensitive and thin nails so prefer them not be overly drilled on. The salon is very peaceful and Julie and Cindy make me feel welcomed every time I'm there

I wanted her to take creative freedom to do what she thought was good for my nails in the budget I had and I love the results. It was easy to setup an appointment by text. I love the shape of my nails! I got the gel manicure ($65) and 4 of my nails have glittery/sparkle flecks that were individually added. There were so many sparkles and glitter options. Mine has an oyster shell appearance and is really fun to look at. The process took 45 minutes but passed so quickly because there was a TV for me to watch Netflix. I ended The bad: It's $8 per nail for an embellishment so it can get pretty pricey. It makes sense with how much meticulous care goes into each nail and how each fleck of gold and glitter was placed. I probably cant get these nails too often due to cost but it was definitely worth pampering myself with some self-care for a special occasion! The interesting: I ended up watching Love is Blind's reunion even though I didn't see any episode from that season. This is the 1st nail salon I've been to with individual private rooms. The room had a side chair as well if you bring someone with you.

I know it takes around 3-6 sessions to start seeing changes skin texture wise and fine lines wise since they usually are immediate with the glow factor, but my skin has definitely been feeling a lot healthier and taken care of since then. I have my first post facial photo a day or two after treatment from December (pink shirt and fresh fluffy hair) and this week's facial photo which was taken after 1 week from treatment (outdoor exercise sweaty hair ew). The difference from these two is very subtle, but I can definitely see more glow. To be frank, it's almost unnoticeable from these two pictures, but my face feels great. The fact that the glow is still visible after doing a whole mile in the sun and wiping my face with my shirt or my bare hand is impressive. It's like a moisturizer I can't rub off. So dewy! Now, my skin is sensitive, so on my most recent one I unfortunately got a lil pimple by my nose. I had really dry skin coming for the 3rd facial so Ayumi did her best to rehydrate the dull, but my skin juuuust had to act up. The moment I told Ayumi what happened she called me back in to have a quick "soothing" treatment for that pesky lil' pimple and she definitely made sure to address the minor sebum build up issue from the possible irritation that happened. The fact that she even called me in to address it was very thoughtful and I can tell Ayumi is very genuine. I honestly look forward to coming back to her every month. The massage and the hot stones during the facial feel soooo nice. I feel so relaxed every time I come here--especially after long 12 hour work shifts and nursing school clinicals/classes. I hope to come more. Thanks KIREI and Ayumi!!

You'd have to be slightly unhinged to drive from Santa Monica to San Pedro just to get your nails…read moredone... ...unless you know there's only one person you trust to: 1) create nail art that actually feels like you 2) protect and preserve your natural nails 3) shape them exactly how you want, every single time 4) have endless color options or mix something custom so you leave with exactly what you pictured (or better) 5) deliver the perfect balance of professionalism, cleanliness, and just the right amount of sass I've been seeing Winn for so long it might date back to the MySpace era. Though we had a break after I moved to the Westside, pure chance put us back in touch and thus began my long distance love affair with being in the #naturalnailgang under Winn's artistry. One of my favorite parts is that it's just me and her. No crowded salon, no noise, no bad music. Just one-on-one time where I'm not rushed and she can focus on every detail. My nails are a big part of my identity. Anytime I've tried to go somewhere closer out of convenience, it's ended in at least one broken nail and a lot of regret. At this point, I don't experiment. I go to The Nail Tailor for the best nails in San Pedro and beyond.

Miyako is not the type of nail tech that will throw a ring of nail colors at you and tell you to…read morepick a color as you wait for the client before you to finish up. She's an artist, a designer, and a true innovator. There hasn't been a single design I've shown her (even the most elaborate Pinterest inspo) that she couldn't pull off and she always manages to elevate it beyond what I imagined. I first came to Miyako in search of a nail artist for my wedding. Leading up to the big day, we experimented with a few different styles I had in mind, and she nailed every single one (pun intended). She also did my Barbie-in-Vegas-themed bachelorette nails, which were absolutely stunning. I felt like a bad b**** every time I walked out of her studio. What truly sets Miyako apart is her meticulous attention to detail. The shape, smoothness, and evenness of the nails are always flawless. Even with just a plain color, my nails would look like they were perfect press on designs. You can tell she's a true creative who deeply cares about her craft. I also really appreciated the one-on-one setting--it's just you and her in a peaceful, distraction-free space, which makes the experience feel that much more special. I'm so sad I moved away from RPV and can't see her regularly anymore--but I'll absolutely be making that 2-hour drive for special occasions. She's that good, and honestly, I haven't found anyone else like her!
