The good: I got a gift card to here from a family member and was excited to try Japanese nails. The nail technician/owner was friendly and very gentle. I wanted her to take creative freedom to do what she thought was good for my nails in the budget I had and I love the results. It was easy to setup an appointment by text. I love the shape of my nails! I got the gel manicure ($65) and 4 of my nails have glittery/sparkle flecks that were individually added. There were so many sparkles and glitter options. Mine has an oyster shell appearance and is really fun to look at. The process took 45 minutes but passed so quickly because there was a TV for me to watch Netflix. I ended The bad: It's $8 per nail for an embellishment so it can get pretty pricey. It makes sense with how much meticulous care goes into each nail and how each fleck of gold and glitter was placed. I probably cant get these nails too often due to cost but it was definitely worth pampering myself with some self-care for a special occasion! The interesting: I ended up watching Love is Blind's reunion even though I didn't see any episode from that season. This is the 1st nail salon I've been to with individual private rooms. Kana did my nails and she is incredibly kind. Her customer service is worth 5 stars, but for $150 I was expecting way more quality and designs. This is one of the most expensive set of nails I've ever gotten and I would have been willing to pay that if I got the same quality as I've received at other nail salons. Less than 3 hours after leaving the salon, my right thumb nail peeled off. I texted Kana and she got me booked to fix it the next day. Before the fix appointment, two more peeled off. Shortly after I got home from redoing those 3 nails, a fourth popped off. I had to go back in the next day. This salon is 25 minutes from my home, and having to go 3 days in a row was a lot of driving. They do not offer refunds, so I had to go back to get them fixed because I'm not spending $150 + tip to have missing nails. read more

I've been going to the Hydrafacial service with Ayumi once a month since December. I finished my 3rd one recently. I know it takes around 3-6 sessions to start seeing changes skin texture wise and fine lines wise since they usually are immediate with the glow factor, but my skin has definitely been feeling a lot healthier and taken care of since then. I have my first post facial photo a day or two after treatment from December (pink shirt and fresh fluffy hair) and this week's facial photo which was taken after 1 week from treatment (outdoor exercise sweaty hair ew). The difference from these two is very subtle, but I can definitely see more glow. To be frank, it's almost unnoticeable from these two pictures, but my face feels great. The fact that the glow is still visible after doing a whole mile in the sun and wiping my face with my shirt or my bare hand is impressive. It's like a moisturizer I can't rub off. So dewy! Now, my skin is sensitive, so on my most recent one I unfortunately got a lil pimple by my nose. I had really dry skin coming for the 3rd facial so Ayumi did her best to rehydrate the dull, but my skin juuuust had to act up. The moment I told Ayumi what happened she called me back in to have a quick "soothing" treatment for that pesky lil' pimple and she definitely made sure to address the minor sebum build up issue from the possible irritation that happened. The fact that she even called me in to address it was very thoughtful and I can tell Ayumi is very genuine. I honestly look forward to coming back to her every month. The massage and the hot stones during the facial feel soooo nice. I feel so relaxed every time I come here--especially after long 12 hour work shifts and nursing school clinicals/classes. My new nail and lash salon Mari and Keiko are AMAZING! As many reviews have said Keiko takes her time when removing and applying the gel nails. She has so many color options - ombré, glitter, shell, etc. I usually try to have an idea of what I want before I get there and Keiko customizes and delivers! I always get compliments :) I've been seeing her for about five months now. Generally my nails last about 3ish weeks but I've gone as long as 5 when I wasn't able to come in sooner. Mari also has great attention to detail and works with you for the lash look you're trying to achieve. Sadly I don't have any pictures but TRUST it's turns out beautiful! I've only gone for extensions but will try a lash lift soon! I'm also finding out through other reviews that Mari does the facials! It's been on my to-do so I will def be booking that ASAP. Updating my review to say that I still come to KIREI for my nails! I've been coming since 2016 and I get gel nails done once a month. My nails are long and strong, and I get compliments daily. I either use the designs they have as examples for inspiration, or I will take screenshots from cute designs I see on instagram and Kanako will replicate them perfectly for me every time. What I love the most is how carefully she removes my previous set. I have never had to "take a break" and my nails are very strong now because they've been taken care of and protected. This place is by appointment only. You should plan to book in advance. They are SO professional and you will receive one-on-one service in a private room. The salon is modern and super clean. You will receive the most professional, exceptional salon service. They are also upfront with their pricing (don't you hate it when salons don't list their pricing?) She really took the time to talk with me about what I wanted and made sure I was comfortable throughout the entire appointment. Easy to find. :) I had reached out to them through their website online and they got back to me right away! I texted them a photo of what design I wanted and I was able to book an appointment on a day I preferred. My nails were done by Keiko-san and she was absolutely AMAZING! I had acrylic nails done previously from another salon and she was so thorough with taking them off so that my own nails would not be damaged. I even had a nail that was broken and she made sure to work around it very carefully. I've gone to a few places for eyelash extensions and this one is by far my favorite. Kayo has worked on my lashes twice now and she's been thorough, extremely careful, and left me with the most beautiful lashes I've ever had. At other places, they used too much glue, left my eyes itchy and irritated, or maybe they fell out too soon, etc. I've had no problems like that from Kayo's work. They look gorgeous, natural and comfortable. I have trouble keeping my eyes closed- they are usually slightly open when I sleep- but she helps make sure nothing gets into my eyes to irritate it. And I can't relax easily so I listen to netflix and when an episode ended, she'd help me set up the next episode so I could keep listening haha she's very kind and her work is so beautiful. I've seen Ayumi twice this year and each session was THE ultimate relaxation time that I needed.
