FINALLY found a decent nail salon in South Bay that can do intricate designs! Received pricing estimate quickly after sending design photo through yelp, and it was reasonable. I love how the salon is so big, so they are able to easily take walk-ins! Love the ambiance and music too. Kevin was very patient and worked carefully on my nails. I have never felt like there was a language barrier in terms of describing design or services I want to get. The space is really clean, there's a lot of chairs for pedicures and manicures and a huge parking lot. Once you find your nail gal/guy there, you can easily book future appointments either on the phone or IG or text. Huge color selection and they do fun designs! A friend recommended this place and I wanted to give them a try since my birthday and baby shower was coming up. I sent them a DM ahead of time with the design I wanted. They said they could do it and set my appointment easily. I was a little annoyed that when I got there, I had to show them the picture again. I also wish they would have told me the price ahead of time when I inquired the appointment. The gel manicure itself was $43. Just the design of the nails was $50. Ive never paid that much for a design before. Especially since 3/5 of the nails were polka dots (super easy to do). Kevin did my nails and he did a really great job! I was happy with the outcome of how it turned out, I just wish I was not blindsided with the design costing more than the actual gel manicure itself. We normally love precious pearl. We have been assisted by most of the nail techs and they are always wonderful. They are all very friendly and professional. We went today to get our nails done for my soon to be sister in law's wedding. Her tech was wonderful and did an amazing job. We are very happy with her work and attention to detail. Unfortunately, the person who assisted me is either new or indifferent to her work. There is not one nail that is not poorly done. She was chatting with someone else while removing my previous nail color and managed to drill a couple of my nails down too far to the nail bed with the electronic nail drill they use. One was drilled to the point of exposing the nail bed itself. The nails she drilled down too far were red and sensitive to the touch as well as burned when I asked her to spray alcohol on them. She sloppily tossed the polish on, left nail polish all over my finger tips and fingers, poorly cleaned the cuticle area, and walked off without a word. It didn't seem to be because she was pressed for time as she left to go sit in one of the massage chairs and played on her phone while I waited for my sister in law to finish with her nails. I informed the front desk of the poor craftsmanship, which again, very friendly and professional. That said, there didn't seem to be any corrective action in regard to this. read more

This is my go-to spot for pedicures. I like that there are plenty of chairs available (14 pedicure chairs and I think 10 manicure tables). You can make an appointment or do a walk-in pretty easily with little to no wait. They are very efficient! I also like how this facility looks clean and on the more modern side. It costs $33 for their basic classic pedicure. They also have a happy hour on Tuesdays and Thursdays between 12-2 PM where they offer a small discount (I think $2 off). I've had maybe 3 or 4 different people do my pedicure with Lona being my favorite girl so far. I feel like some of the technicians are not very experienced.. but most of them are good. I been a loyal customer of Precious Nails for over three years, I am not sure what happened to the quality of their products. This is gel manicure after LESS than two weeks. The gel actually started breaking after week one. Prices went up and now they charge $10 extra for nail length and nail shape separately. I would expect at least the quality of the products to be good. I work from home. I don't do any crazy activities with my hand. It just peeled off after a week. I stopped by the Monday of Valentine's Day week. Needless to say it was busy. I called ahead of time and asked if they were taking walk ins in which they told me yes. I was scheduled for 4pm but I wasn't serviced until 430pm. So I waited half an hour for an "appointment" / walk in? The nail technician was quick with my pedicure. She had her hair kinda loose so when she bent over to work on my lil piggies her hair almost got into the wet nail polish. Luckily it didn't. She did 2 coats of polish but it wasn't that opaque. Also when she started working on my big toe, I don't have ingrown nails or anything but she caused such a sharp pain it was so uncomfortable. It's as if she was trying to dig my nail off my skin? Im like terrified of potentially getting an infection from nail techs doing that. I personally think they overbooked that day, there were 3 ladies waiting at the front desk all meanwhile the front desk lady was working on someone else's nails and answering/booking more appts for that same day... It's a more modern nail salon with how their interior design is set up, it is very pretty, but I wouldn't come back due to the service honestly. read more

WARNING: TOE INFECTION - Business Ignored My Concern I was originally hesitant to leave a negative review, but after my recent experience I feel it's important to share. I've been going to this salon for a few years mainly because of how convenient the location is for me. Unfortunately, over time I've noticed a significant decline in the quality of their service. During several recent visits, the technicians did such a poor job on my nails that I had to return to have chipped or lifting nails fixed. In hindsight, I probably gave them too many chances because the staff were friendly. The final incident happened during my most recent pedicure. The technician cut so deeply into my cuticle that I was visibly flinching in pain, and instead of addressing it, I was told not to move so much. Later that night I woke up with severe throbbing pain in my big toe. A few days later I contacted the business to explain the situation and request a refund, which I believe was reasonable since I had to see a podiatrist for the injury. To my surprise, my message was completely ignored. It has now been four weeks, and I'm still dealing with an ingrown toenail caused by the poor trimming. I ultimately had to dispute the charge through my credit card company. I've attached photos showing some of the poor nail work I received in previous visits. There are many better nail salons in the area, and based on my experience, I would strongly recommend going elsewhere. I'm extremely disappointed with how this situation was handled. read more

Everyone here is professional, nice, attentive and talented and they always do their best to get walk-ins if possible. It's clean and calm inside and everyone is always smiling or laughing. I showed my tech a picture of the design I wanted but I wanted to change the colors. I loved that she kept checking in if it was the perfect length or if the colors I wanted were good and adjusted it when we noticed the colors were a little bit too closely matched. I've been a customer at Precious Pearls for years and the quality of the nail technicians has drastically DECREASED. It seems like everybody is new and I can't even get a basic pedicure done correctly anymore. The last four times I've been here Ive had to request for another technician to do my nails because the first one doesn't know what the hell they're doing. And then they have the audacity to get mad at you, the client, because they can't do a good job! Make that make sense. Some of the newer nail techs are rude, unprofessional, and clearly talk behind your back! Do not come here unless you want to have a newby technician practice on your nails and charge you prices for a good quality service (which they are not providing).
