I've gone here twice when my normal nail lady is out of town since this salon is so close to my house. Unfortunately both times haven't been the best. With my most recent visit I made an appointment online a couple days before. Despite this, I waited for about 20 minutes after I arrived at the shop and the last time I had made an appointment I also had to wait. While someone said hello when I came in, no one asked me if I had an appointment. There were also no books with regular polish options at the front (only gel designs) so it wasn't until I was eventually seated at the pedicure chair that I was given a book to look at when the nail tech asked what color I wanted. My pedicure felt rushed and ended up sloppy on one toe going into the cuticle and chipped in the corner of another before I even left the salon. Because I was switched to a different person for my manicure, the person who did my pedicure was already gone when I noticed as I took out the toe spacer before I left. As for my manicure, I was getting GelX and needed to soak off my previous set. When I was sitting down for the pedicure I asked the woman if I needed to start soaking them off. She went and talked to someone else but ultimately did not begin soaking them while I was getting the pedicure done. Unfortunately this meant once the manicure started the technician spent a lot of time utilizing her drill to try to speed up the removal of the previous set. This resulted in it getting hot and hurting my nail bed and I suspect she also drilled them where they are now thin due to how sensitive my natural nails were. She also nicked my cuticles with her drill so when she asked me to continue soaking my fingers it burned and I had to tell her I couldn't. She didn't apologize, just told me to only soak the other nails that weren't burning. As she was drilling off my set she did get a lot of nail powder on herself and then was using the brush on herself to brush off nail powder before brushing it off my hands. I was really hoping to like this shop, but unfortunately just really did not have the best experience. read more

I was in Las Vegas for a wedding and came across Lotus Nail Lounge on Yelp. It was conveniently located near where I was staying, so I decided to give it a try. I walked in around noon on a Wednesday and was told there would be about a 30-minute wait; which I didn't mind at all, especially since I hadn't made an appointment. A quick heads-up: my GPS took me to the back entrance, which was a bit confusing. But when I called, the owner, Andy, kindly came out to guide me in. (For future reference, the main entrance is by the Shell gas station.) All of the nail technicians were with clients when I arrived, but I was pleasantly surprised to be seated within 10 minutes. I was welcomed with a complimentary beverage (water or soda), which was a nice touch. I got a classic pedicure with French tips and a gel French manicure. The total came out to $100, which I felt was very reasonable for the quality of service. Andy was incredibly warm and personable, and his hospitality really stood out. UPDATE 5/18/24: I've been going to Lotus Nail Lounge and I've been seeing Andy for almost a year now, back when he was operating out of a private suite at Body Spa Salons on Paseo Verde. He just moved into a bigger suite on Maryland and Pebble a few months ago, joining three other nail techs that I saw there. Their new location sits in the same lot as a gas station, which I found weird. I am leaving for a two-week long trip to Europe next week and went to go see Andy again to get a manicure/pedicure done beforehand. Now that there are other nail techs here, my mom also tagged along with me since she's going as well. You can choose your nail colors inside of a big book that they give you and they have free drinks that you can pick out from the mini fridge while you wait. Since Andy's move, he now has a larger selection of colors available. This is a cute and quiet place. They have massage chairs that you can sit in while you get your pedicure done. I used this and it made my pedicure so much more relaxing and comfortable. Because Andy was working with another client upon our arrival, I ended up with someone else for my pedicure. Unfortunately I never knew her name. Something new that I noticed is that they use those little tessens, aka Japanese fans, to dry my toes. I was advised to stay in the chair for a few more minutes to let my pedicure air dry longer. Andy did my manicure, and my manicure ended up being a purple/blue color that changes color when exposed to the sun and other types of light (T-166). OMG, I love this color and I'm very happy with my selection. I actually never knew that this came in a nail color until I laid my eyes upon it. My pedicure ended up being a neon green color (T-114). My mom rarely gets a manicure/pedicure done and just ended up with a pitch black color. I won't go anywhere else for my manicure/pedicure needs. I've gone in as a walk-in a couple of times and they have taken care of me pretty quickly. They have a mini fridge with drinks in their waiting area. The first time I was there I was offered a drink, but the second time I was not. First time in, I got a full set. I showed my nail tech a picture of what I was looking to get, coffin shape and hombre French tip. I don't like to get started on my nails before I know the price (I don't like making assumptions) and she had a difficult time giving me a straight answer. She kept saying we would figure it out. She finally gave me a price but she ended doing a traditional French tip with a hard line. The shape was nice but because she used white polish to do the French tip, it chipped pretty quickly. Paid $50 for full set + additional $20 for the French tip). My second visit was for a spa pedi ($35 for standard pedi + $8 to remove old gel polish). The tech did a great job. The leg massage was a bit short, but I wasn't really expecting much I guess. I am happy with how the color turned out. I hope it won't chip quick. read more

Quick update 10/2022 cause location for Lotus Nail Lounge has changed from my original review from 2020. Andy's private nail boutique is part of a salon spa off Paseo Verde. He also has added services for pedicures. Love the set up of his space, no distractions of customers coming in and out, no phones ringing nonstop, oh yeah, his music video playlist rocks! Also the one on one personal attention here is 100%... and appreciate that he does by appointment only, no same day or walk-ins, so book online or by texting his number. Andy kills it every time with my EXTRA nail designs I throw at him. I find it efficient for me to text my idea or pic before the appointment so it gives him more time to spend on my nails. Not only do my nails look beautiful but my hands feel great! Love my "me" time here! read more

Great pedicure and came for the wonderful reviews but my assigned tech did not say 2 words to me, no name, no is the water ok, no can I help you with the massage chair, no sorry for clipping into my toes as I retracted them a few times, no kiss my ass I really don't want to be here! She had plenty to say on her Bluetooth phone conversation but zero to me! And I'm not even a girl that likes full conversation while getting my pedicures, but I do expect a pleasant demeanor, a couple of words here or there and just possibly, while getting out of the awkward chair, a little assistance maybe lifting the arms up or help gathering my stuff. Maybe it's me asking for too much but I NEVER NOT TIP...20% typically, and I simply did not have it in me to pay more than the price of the service received.
