We used to go here all the time. Then left for awhile. We came back because it was by our house. We are done. It is sooooo loud in here. People.in really think their something and scream and carry on. I understand why they don't do anything but I am trying to relax. Last 3 pedis I received my feet made noises on sheets that night! The new place I am going to makes me so happy and I see a HUGE difference. read more

I've been going to Nail Bar a handful of times, it's close, great color selection, large salon, & complimentary drinks/wine which is great! But every single time I go (WITH AN APPOINTMENT) I have had to wait over an hour to be seated. There have been a few times were I even called ahead and confirmed there was not a wait & my appointment was made way in advance, but still had that hour to hour & half wait time. It seems they just take whoever walks in, appointment or not, just to get the business. I understand places getting busy, but experiencing the long wait every time becomes frustrating, especially when they continuously say it'll only be a few more minutes which leads to hours. I will not be returning. read more

The concept is great. Lots of color options, good staff and enjoyed the complimentary beverage. I had my nails done by Hueie--- not even mediocre. My gel was uneven and on my skin, to be honest I probably could have painted them better. He was very kind and easy to talk to but needs more work on his craft. I sat next to Susan and she was awesome. She takes pride in her work and has a great personality. If I come back, I'm requesting her! read more

This place has been around for a while and I've been here probably 6 times or so. They are big with many technicians however THEY ARE NOT RESPECTFUL OR YOUR TIME. Walk-ins need to be worked in and I get that which is why I ALWAYS make an appointment. This business does not honor appointment time. Ever. I've been sitting here waiting for 35 minutes since my appointment time. I arrived on time and was seated at a pedicure chair. However no water - no soaking and no person has showed up. The paint job is sloppy and chipped off after 1 shower. read more

So this review is a bit different, but I just had to come and rave about the owner and the staff here. We had a party planned on a Sunday, and the owner and staff arrived an hour before opening to allow us access to decorate, set up our own table with food and mimosas, and made sure that we were all attended to immediately. They did all of this with a smile and great attitude, and really made our party experience a fantastic one. They refilled our glasses while we all got pampered, and not one of us left unhappy. This is a large salon with plenty of space for something like this, and still room to accommodate the walk ins that started as soon as they opened. And of course they do a great job with manis and pedis. My pedicure had a fantastic orange smelling scrub that I absolutely loved. Thank you Nail Bar for making our experience a great one! read more

My first time here, and I was very happy with the service and the quality of my manicure. I got the new powder/dip polish, and I can't believe how well it's held up and how shiny the top coat still looks after a week and a half. I was a little surprised that they didn't do anything but polish my nails, but someone else was paying for my service and they may have just requested the basics. They did put a nice coat of cuticle oil on at the end, however. I'm planning a trip back soon to get a pedicure, and will update my review once I've been back again. read more

I have been coming here for 2 years and have never written a review! It's definitely time! This is THE BEST place to get your nails done. Whether I'm getting in some peaceful solo time, having a mani/pedi date with my mom or glamming up with my bridal party, my experiences here have been amazing! Today, I decided to try The Nail Bar & I'm so happy I did! I received a gel manicure & classic pedicure , I absolutely love this place! Very professional, clean & the prices are reasonable. Danny did an amazing job for me. Plus, they take a little off the price if you pay in cash & you have your choice of sodas, water & wine while you're getting your nails done. I really appreciated they played music instead of some boring home & garden tv show that really makes it annoying to sit thru the appointment. This was fun, pampering & my nails look great! ASK ABOUT PRICING BEFORE YOU GET NAILS DONE! This is the only reason I am giving it a 1 star. I took my teenager to get her nails done and she got acrylics. I had called and they said it started at $35. When we were FINISHED... they said it was $65 total.. My jaw dropped and I asked why. 1. Because of the shape she got (coffin) it was an extra $5. 2. She got a marble (white and black) on 4 nails. We had to pay extra for each nail because it was special.... 3. then they said she was too old to get the student discount.. she is 16.... I was pretty upset. Her nails turned out ok, but not $65 worth. I will say the place is clean and the front desk guy is nice. They also have every possibly dip, gel and regular color possible. But.. if you want something not basic...ask first about pricing!!! read more

I came in for a powder removal because not 2 days after I got them done,multiple nails snapped off. I asked for her to dissolve the powder but instead used acrylic tips to remove, and even after multiple times after telling the nail tech that it was hurting me, she acted annoyed and was laughing. Finally she dissolved the rest of my nails and filed them so uneven, then charged me $16 when I got a clear top coat, not gel just regular polish. It's honestly embarrassing how bad she did not to mention the rudeness, and ignoring how I asked her to dissolve them when they were cracked halfway down my actual nail!! So bad I've never left a review on Yelp before but I'm so disappointed. I've been going to this salon for months and have never left so dissatisfied, read more

So nail spots can be hit or miss. I thought it was fair to wait a few visits to review. I'm happy to announce this it the best nail spot in all of Indiana. I've never seen such great consistency. It is a little more than the other nail spots but guess what? I would pay that any day to be able to get in a nail salon on a week day without having to wait or make an appointment!!! Everyone is very friendly, the work is wonderful and THEY GIVE YOU WINE! I didn't know about it the first visit so ask if they don't ask you :) I love this little spot to get away for some me time!! read more

If i could give 0 stars i would. The atmosphere was nice but the nail tech that i had was absolutely terrible. I must have been her first full set she had ever done because there is no way that i should have been able to walk out the salon with my nails looking lumpy and bumpy. The tech just slapped on the acrylic never once even drilled or filed the nail to smooth the lumps out. NOTHING! When i spoke with the manager he said no refunds and asked me to come back the next day and speak with the owner... but still i would not get a refund... talk about livid. I wouldn't recommend this place if it was the only nail salon opened in all of America. read more

My nail tech was a great lady and she did a pretty good job. The cost was a little outrageous on the other hand. I paid $70 for a full set with NO designs. Just white with sparkles on top. I would not of gone here if I knew I would be spending close to $100 with tip. read more

The only place I'll go to get my nails done. Amazing and kind staff. I always get a dip manicure with Lilian. I love it. Pedicures are awesome too. Different levels to choose from. And they always make sure your glass is full. Whether is wine or Diet Coke they make the experience a great little escape from the real world. read more

I love Nail Bar! They are a little more pricey than most nail salons, but in my opinion, it's worth it. I always go to Trish and she does amazing every time. I also love Ken, Michelle and Susan. The place is very clean and they offer free drinks. They have a huge staff so the wait is never very long, but I make an appointment because I go to Trish every time. I have been coming here for about a year now and can't imagine going anywhere else. They have the best color selection for gel, regular and dip polish! read more

Made an appointment for this past Saturday for 11 AM. Needless to say I'm not sure why an appointment was made in when I still had to wait 45 minutes past 11 to be seated for a pedicure. I purchased the luxury pedicure at $60 with a gel polish. A pedicure at the price should last longer than 30 minutes. No time was spent on anything luxury. I should've just paid the regular price of a regular pedicure. I was completely rushed through the whole process. Total bill for my gel pedicure was 100 damn dollars. Smdh I think they just try to keep up with the demand of people that come in. They rush and there is no personal touch to this place at all. Unfortunately will not return. read more

I usually don't write negative reviews. I usually keep it to myself and move on. However, if we don't speak on things then we cannot expect things to get better. I went in for a dip mani. It was rushed and looked bad. Lumpy, uneven and thick. I went back a couple days later because I just couldn't stand looking at my nails like that. The owner, Susan, looked at them and said they were fine. That it looked that way because of the color. Still someone tried to fix them. Fast forward, every appointment since then the woman who originally did the bad dip mani would give me dirty looks. I'd just ignore her. Whatever. But, now anytime I go there they all whisper and act as if I am a difficult client. Also, a time I went in and asked for Brooklyn (a black tech) and was told no. No explanation why, just no. I literally had to walk over to her station and ask for her card myself. It's sickening that I cannot have a complaint without being talked about later. Anyway, I won't be back. read more

I've been to Nail Bar a handful of times, they have great color selection and complimentary drinks/wine which is always great, but the customer service is lacking here. I called ahead earlier in the day to make an appointment, and mentioned to the person on the phone I didn't have time to wait because of other appointments afterwards. They assured me with an appointment there would be no wait. My appointment was for 5:15pm and they didn't seat me until at least 5:30pm. Waited some more (in a pedicure chair with no water so it's not like I could soak my feet to prepare for the service, even if I did have time to wait) before I finally went to the front desk and told them to cancel my appointment at 6pm. If you value your time, don't come here. They simply don't care and will let you make an appointment *knowing* they don't have the staff to accommodate you. It's disappointing to make an appointment for a pedicure and plan the rest of your day around that, just to wait for 45 minutes and still no pedicure. It seems like they just take all appointments and walk-ins simply for the business even when they cannot follow through with performing the service. I won't be returning. read more

I love this place! The gel and dip color options are endless. I've never had to wait more than a couple of minutes, if I had to wait at all. The techs are top notch, and if they aren't 100% comfortable doing the technique I want they won't hesitate to bring in a second person to make sure I get what I want. I have been waiting to write this review until I had my dip manicure 2 weeks to make sure it would last. This was my first venture to the Nail Bar after several People have suggested it. I am super picky with my nails and the service so I have been loyal elsewhere but after a previous negative experience wanted to try somewhere new. When you first walk in there are tons of stations and colors to choose from. This was reassuring since most of us don't want to wait for an hour- myself included! I was greeted right away and asked if I wanted a drink. Promptly received a glass of wine and, let me tell you, they do a wonderful job keeping it full while you're being pampered. The color selection here is top notch. Especially for dipping powder. By far the largest I have ever seen. They did a nice manicure and my nail technician was friendly and thorough. She exceeded my very picky standards. Everything was clean and the instruments were sterile which is reassuring to see. I also opted to get a pedicure and she did a great job and also encouraged me to relax. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. I would definitely go back! read more

I always come here to get my nails done! The staff is so welcoming and friendly. I've never left disappointed. They are really skilled in designs and have a wide selection of dip powder and gel. I really enjoy that they have a card program where after your fifth visit you get a percentage off. They also have free wine! Who can say no to that! read more

I tend to find most nail salons as a solid 3 stars--they often get the job done, but with no extra fluff. Nail Bar is a cut above the rest. I mean, first of all, they have wine. A manicure was meant to be had with wine. Secondly, they sat my friend and I together which is often a gripe I have with other places. You go for mani/pedis with a friend and you wind up across the room from each other. I much appreciated saddling up next to my buddy while we sipped our Pinot Grig. We were both pleased with our manicures too. Why 4 instead of 5? We had appts but still waited 20 minutes after the time. I will definitely be back though. read more

This is not my usual nail salon, I came here one time with a group of 3. They may have just switched scheduling systems because when I arrived, I tried to check in for my group, and we were no where to be found on the schedule. A group of four women getting mani/pedis after work usually calls for a long, long wait. However, they were accommodating since the rest of my group were regulars. With that said, this nail bar is huge and is very busy and can take on a lot of customers at once. They have an abundant of colors and their selling point is their dip nails. This was my first time getting the dipped nails and perhaps it's a personal preference but it made my nails very hard and did not feel natural/comfortable. I felt like they were very heavy and I could definitely feel them at all times weighing down on my hands. I also felt the little bumps in my nails but they lasted well over 4 weeks which is cool. I certainly prefer regular gel over the dip but it was a fun experience. read more

I used to be a loyal customer to The Nail Bar but took and extended break due to the frustrations of dealing with inconsistencies. This is actually the second extended break for the same reason. I decided to give it a shot after 10 months and brought my daughter (9) in, she and I wanted manicures and pedicures. Well I'm sad to say I won't be visiting the establishment again. I told the technician that my daughter was to have gel on her hands and toes after having the classic manicure and pedicure. I wanted no color and the deluxe pedicure and regular mani. I was enjoying my service, relaxing with my eyes closed in the pedicure chair with the massagers on so I was not watching my daughter's service. I had no idea they were giving her a deluxe pedicure (the only difference is callous removal-obviously a 9 year old has no callouses) and I found out at the register. I was pissed but am also 8 months pregnant and not in the mood to cause a scene. I looked at the technician and asked "why would you give her a pedi for callous removal, her feet are not calloused? He ignored me and repeated "she had deluxe". Regarding my feet: I didn't feel the young lady spent much time removing the dead skin from me feet and it was confirmed when I got home and my husband and I laughed at the sound my feet made against the sheets. I went into my bathroom, sat on my tub, and scrubbed them with my own pumice stone to solve the issue. The technician had only used the cheese grater and had not brought the stone out at all stone during my service. I also had to ask her to get all of the old polish off of my toe nails as she was almost done and applying lotion. Regarding my manicure: All other places that I've been to will have you soak your nails while finishing your feet in preparation for your manicure. This technician sat me at the manicure table for about 5 minutes before bringing over a styrofoam bowl of clear & cold water with no solution in it and dipped my hand in it before proceeding with my mani. She started the mani on my left hand right away while my right soaked, my left hand never soaked. I came in with nails that had not had any dip or acrylic in 10 months, they were smooth and healthy. I left with the top layer shredded because for whatever reason she ran the drill across them. The lack of attention to detail and pride in work is a major issue with the technicians at The Nail Bar. The owners Min and Susan are amazing and great to work with. Before I took a break Susan invited me to start scheduling with her for consistent service. I appreciate the gesture but sometimes I want to pop in without an appointment due to my schedule and Susan does not give pedicures. Excellent and prideful service should be given from whomever you sit down with. Especially considering the higher prices you pay compared to competitors. So after dropping $130 (on two pedicures and manicures) and not being happy once again I'm done. The place is beautiful, owners are nice and wine is a great feature but the quality of work (outside of Susan) is shameful. read more

I've been coming here since they opened! This is the only shop I will allow to do my pedicures. But as of today, they lost a customer. The customer service I got today from the front desk guy was beyond me as a person and PAYING customer. I asked a simple question requesting a specific service and it went unanswered. INSTEAD when trying to gain clarity he became very irritated and even put his hand in my face! Nope, I won't be back! read more

I've been here before, but they were so busy and in a huge rush this time. Had great precautions for covid. However, was NOT happy with my experience this time. Had a pedi and he did an awful job I still have an ingrown toe nail he didn't get that I asked him to. Was rushed and rushed doing my nails. Also be careful going here, they serve wine to underage people. Didn't ask for my ID or anything when giving me wine. Not a good experience at all. read more

The will working on me noticed my big toe was cracked so she had put glue on it but I explained she could clip it down. The quality of my pedicure was great. I noticed that my big toe the toenail somehow chipped off so it had small missing piece. I had came back to the shop and explained the issue and asked if I could get my one toe fixed which they agreed to do. They had ended up having to put acrylic on my toe to fix it and repaint it. I have never had acrylic on my toenail so this was something different. I was appreciative that they were willing to fix it with no issues.

I'm from CA, visiting the area, so I don't know if it's normal here, but nothing for my 'manicure' seemed clean or sanitary. It all just appeared out of a drawer in the desk. She told me they don't do regular manicures while cutting and dremeling my nails; so I got my nails filed and shaped, this very weird lotion rub into my hands (I wouldn't call it a massage) and then a clear coat on top. I can actually still see some dirt under my fingers. There was also another lady arguing about her pedicure and what she told the front desk, how she liked them shaped, etc. We'll come back for pedicures, but some communication definitely missing.

I waited for about 10 minutes before a nail tech came over and started my treatment, which was no problem for me at all, but both the technician and the manager on duty were so apologetic and even added on extra time to my leg massage to make up for it! The way everyone goes above and beyond to ensure customer satisfaction is what makes the prices at HV worth it. I was super impressed with my gel pedicure and my acrylic manicure, and I especially appreciated that the nail techs asked me several times throughout the process to make sure I liked everything. The design I got turned out even better than the inspo pic from Pinterest, and they have lasted over 2 weeks with no chipping or breaking! HV Nails is certainly on the pricier side, but trust me when I say you get your money's worth!

This makes it disappointing to leave a review under these circumstances. During a recent eyebrow service completed by the female owner, Vee, I communicated that I wanted my eyebrows thinner. She proceeded using a device, and within 24 hours I developed welts underneath and around my eyebrows, followed by minor pain and visible bruising. I will be attaching photos for reference. I initially attempted to address this concern by phone, but Vee advised she could not hear me. I then visited the salon in person to show the bruising and seek a resolution. I spoke with her boyfriend, who is also an owner, and he called for her to come speak with me. As they spoke in their native language, Vee avoided all contact with me and did not acknowledge my presence, nor did she inquire as to why I was there or address the visible bruising at all. I take confrontation seriously and approach it with the intent to resolve issues respectfully. Because of this encounter, I strongly disagree with the attitude displayed by Vee and the owners' inability to acknowledge or address the injury left behind. For this reason, I will no longer be a customer at this establishment. The quality of work itself has generally been good; however, future customers should be aware that if concerns arise, there may be issues with accountability and customer service, which does not appear to be a priority.
