This is a bright open space, upbeat pop music with plenty of parking. Walked in and had a short wait. Got the Royal Jelly Pedi which was outstanding. The jelly soak was a surprising textural experience along with the sweet rose scent. Very satisfying. The massage and hot stone treatment were nice. Overall relaxing experience and definitely recommended.

Amy did such an amazing job on my nails today! It was my first time at this salon and she took such good care of me as if i'd been going there forever. Very impressed!

I got a gel manicure and gel pedicure at nail bar today and it was were super nice to me and very catering to what I want and willing to change to make me happy. They made sure to check all the boxes from getting my cuticles to doing the lotion at the end. The place is very cute and there are good vibes in there!

Tried this place for the first time. I'm still sitting in the chair, blood from one toe has stopped but the bleeding on the other foot from the vigorous callous removal from a very aggressive technician has not stopped. Just put on something that is stinging the crap out of my foot. Uggghhh. So disappointing. I did my research on Yelp and thought this would be a great experience. It has not been anywhere close to that. Will not be back

I highly recommend this place, the staff was very friendly and welcoming! My nail artist Jackie was so sweet and I really enjoyed talking to her! She helped me figure out each detail of what I wanted the design to be and she did an amazing job :) so happy with my new nails!

I requested a gel nail set with design. Jenny was the one who did my nails, and she did an amazing job! Not only was she really gentle with my nails, but she worked so quickly. This turned out amazing and is easily one of my favorites! I definitely recommend this place and booking with Jenny.

Another great acrylic manicure and regular pedicure! Been going here for about a year now and I'm consistently happy with the service/results. Absolutely love Nail Bar! Everyone that works there is kind and friendly and the shop is always clean. I go to Jenny and she always does an incredible job. Her intricate nail art is insane, and she does a wonderful job with a classic, simple manicure as well. $46 for a pedicure with leg massage and salt scrub, which is different than what they advertise online. My heels are in pain the next day from too much sanding. Too rough and expensive. I won't be going back. read more

Our long-time nail techs, Jenny and Lucky, have opened their own salon! We couldn't be more proud of them. Great location, too. We were greeted with wonderful hospitality into their clean, newly renovated salon. Great choices of nail colors and techniques. I ended up trying this place out because they were open yesterday on the 4th and that was the only day I could come to get a fill (my regular place was closed). I made an appt for 1pm and the staff was really nice. Lots of color selections (like previous reviews stated) and very clean inside. Jimmy who did my fill was really nice, chatty and kind. When it came time to place my hands inside the neon light nail dryer (no idea what those things are actually called), my nails wouldn't dry and Jimmy didn't know why. I had never had this happen before so I was confused too. He had to redo a couple of my nails and then told me I was good to go. Well I smudged one right away in my car and didn't want to go back in since it was minor (I am not super high maintenance about small things like that). However, when I got home and reached into a pile of laundry to fold it nearly ALL of my nails got smudged and messed up. I ended up going back and Jimmy was really nice and seated me right away and was super apologetic. He explained that the mishap occurred because he didn't use gel polish only the gel base which is why the polish didn't dry correctly. I was surprised he didn't notice this beforehand but regardless I got my nails fixed the right way and they dried super fast like normal. Well that night I went to get into the shower and I noticed I had already chipped two of my nails... I was so disappointed and bummed. I used some color street nail stickers to cover up the chipped fingers as a short term fix because I didn't want to go back in a third time. Well this morning I noticed I had a new chip on my middle finger. I can be super hard on my nails but where I usually go (Happiness Nails in Bressi Ranch), I NEVER get chips on my nails and they last up to three weeks. I gave two stars because the staff was really nice and they did have a great selection of colors. However, because of everything else I sadly will not be going back. read more

I LOVED the Nail Bar. The ladies were SO talented and very artistic. Both my sister and I got beautiful nail art and acrylics done. The workers were also very kind and accommodating. It was the best experience I've had getting my nails done. On top of that, they did the pedicure and manicure at the same time, which saved us a lot of time. I did a Head Spa treatment with Amy for my self-care treat to myself today and I want to recommend to everyone!! It was very relaxing. Amy uses high quality products and service includes a face wash, scrubbing off of dead skin cells, and massage. She even blow dried my hair after. Nail services are wonderful here as well. Nail Bar is under new ownership, as of Sept 2023, and I found them when I followed my technician, Amy, here. They have beautiful new pedicure chairs and furniture, the salon is bright and inviting. They do a fantastic dip manicure that looks natural and is really strong, which is so important for me... I'm really hard on my nails!Acrylic, gel and waxing are also available, and a spectrum of pedicures, from functional to truly luxurious. They're also open on Sundays, provide water, soda or tea, and show fun travel videos to watch during your service. If you're thinking about trying them, do! read more

My first and last tine there. They CHARGE for every little thing. They charged for gel removal of my pedicure 3$, and on top of that, just to use your own credit card, they charge a 4%... its ridiculoustotal tor my siater and I was 192$ for 2 pedicures 1 manicure and 1 fullset read more

First timer here ‍ and it was such a lovely experience @Nail Bar. Under new ownership - this place has been nicely remodeled: super clean and spacious. I went in without a design in mind but told Lucky to design anything with gold/white- and she surely delivered with her magical touch (and super gentle too). Pro-tip: If you have a design in mind- show them a photo or be descriptive, as the ladies there are very accommodating and artistic. If you're not sure, do what I did and let the artist's creative work do the rest. Lucky did my 3D flowers and I'm in love with this elegant design! Jenny is also an amazing talent. I was sitting next to her and got to witness her gorgeous artwork on another customer. All the staff members are so sweet and friendly @NailBar. I have tried quite a few different nail salons in San Marcos and hadn't tried this one because it only had 4 stars, but this was honestly the best experience I've had in a while! I called ahead to see if they were available and they took me in right away when I got there. They are very friendly, the salon decor is adorable, and I finally got the service I've been looking for. Many places don't do the actual leg and arm massage, or they'll skip important details like cutting my hand nails off. All these details, right down to the cute jewel on the flower were perfect! This is a VERY upscale nail salon but they've got the goods! A bit pricy, but not for the services they offer. My daughter and I got the Royal Jelly Pedi which includes: Relaxing the muscles of feet in jelly with 5 minute massage, callus treatment, exfoliating, sea salt glow and masque, hot paraffin wax, and hot oil with 20 minute massage. Oh yes! My legs and feet have never felt this way before. $75 bucks plus tip. Worth it! They also have lower cost pedi's and mani's. I had Dao and my daughter had LeeAnn. They were both professionals big time! Oh, they have complimentary snacks and drinks, including mimosas, wine and champagne. Specials on some days with 10% off. read more

They did a great job on the nails, however we when she was cleaning out the area behind my thumb nail I think she got too deep so my finger hurts a bit. They had a couple tv's - one with the cooking show on one and a video of the Maldives on loop. Overall they were nice and did a good job, I would go back again.

They fit four pedicures in with 30 minutes to spare. It was the most perfect and polished pedicure I've ever gotten. My nails were shaped perfectly. They were gentle with cuticles and callouses. Prices are a bit higher than other salons, but I'm willing to pay for excellent service! I can only speak to regular Polish manicures and pedicures as I do not do gel or acrylic for my nail health. Last Saturday, while driving through San Marcos, I noticed a small nail and spa shop called Emily's Nail & Spa--coincidentally, Emily is my granddaughter's name. I took it as a sign and decided to stop in and give it a try. Saturday afternoons can be hectic in the manicure and pedicure business, so I wasn't sure what my chances were. The chairs were full, but I was pleasantly told the wait would only be about 15 minutes. I had barely sat down when I was escorted to one of their new, comfortable vibrating chairs and invited to soak my feet in a perfectly warm, whirlpool bath. The shop isn't large, but it is modern, clean, comfortable, and welcoming. My hostess, Ellie, soon began what turned out to be the most enjoyable and comforting pedicure my tired size 14 1/2 EEE feet have ever experienced. I relaxed through the massage and pampering, nearly falling asleep from the sheer comfort of the treatment. Next came my manicure, which was equally impressive--without question, the best I have ever had. During my visit, I enjoyed a refreshing conversation with Ellie. As a loyal customer of Nail Bar for the past three years since they first opened, I write this review with disappointment. When I first started going to Nail Bar, I was so happy to find both Jenny and Lucky because of their talent with custom nail art and designs. I referred many friends and family members to the salon over the years, and everyone always had positive things to say. Pricing also felt fair and reasonable at the time. Unfortunately, over the years, it has been sad to see the change in both the atmosphere and customer experience. The staff often look stressed and overworked, and the welcoming environment that originally made the salon special no longer feels the same. Prices have continued to increase without much explanation, and when I once politely asked for a breakdown of the pricing, it seemed to be taken offensively. At my following appointment, the pricing breakdown was sarcastically provided before I even asked, which made the interaction uncomfortable and unprofessional. There have also been multiple occasions where I was accidentally nicked during nail services without an apology. In particular, my experiences with Lucky became increasingly uncomfortable due to her attitude and demeanor during appointments. The salon itself still appears unfinished, with very little decor or warmth, making it feel like it is still in a work-in-progress stage despite being open for years. In April 2026, I attempted to book with Jenny, who had always been my primary nail tech, but she informed me she was fully booked before leaving for an extended out-of-country vacation. I then booked with Lucky instead. From the moment I walked in, the environment felt tense, almost as if there was confusion or concern over whether I was meant to be Jenny's client rather than Lucky's. Throughout the appointment, Lucky appeared irritated and dismissive. I decided to give the salon another chance and booked with Lucky again, hoping perhaps she had simply been having a stressful day previously. Unfortunately, the experience was similar. When I asked about a nail design, I was immediately told, "No, I don't have time," despite the design being very simple. I kindly responded that I had a backup design prepared, and we moved forward. Later during the appointment, I casually asked if she missed her sister Jenny while she was away. The question seemed to strike a nerve, and her response became very defensive. She explained that she had been working every day without days off while Jenny was gone and expressed frustration about clients bringing in detailed designs. However, I only requested a basic French tip with small polka dots. While I understand being overworked can be stressful, that frustration should not be taken out on paying clients. After this experience, I attempted to book with Jenny again before my sister's graduation. The interaction that followed ultimately made me realize it was time to move on from the salon entirely. In hindsight, this turned out to be a blessing in disguise because I discovered another salon nearby on Rancho Santa Fe called Nailed It Salon. The difference in customer service, professionalism, and overall atmosphere was night and day. The salon is beautiful, thoughtfully decorated, and the staff genuinely seem happy to be there. Everyone is welcoming, smiling, and creates an enjoyable experience for clients. Their pricing is also far more reasonable, and they even offer a loyalty stamp card where customers can save money on future services -- something that truly makes clients feel appreciated. I do not write this review out of spite, but rather disappointment as someone who genuinely supported Nail Bar for years and wanted to continue doing so. I hope this feedback is taken constructively because customer service and professionalism matter just as much as the quality of the nails themselves. read more

I recently visited the nail bar and had an exceptional experience. Jenny did my nails and Jackie did my pedicure. From the moment I walked in, everyone at the salon was incredibly nice and welcoming. The place was spotless, which made me feel comfortable right away. Jenny worked on my nails, doing gel extensions with the perfect almond shape, just how I like it. She even asked if I had any reference photos, but I decided to go with a bright red for the day. Jenny picked out the perfect shade for me, and I absolutely love how my nails turned out! Jackie gave me the best pedicure I've had in a long time. She was gentle yet thorough, cleaning up my toes and removing the calluses with care. My feet have never felt so buttery smooth. They were celebrating their one-year anniversary at the salon and offered a choice between a discount or a collagen foot mask as a thank you gift. I opted for the foot mask, which was a sweet gesture to their clients. Having just moved to the area, I'm thrilled to have found such a great nail salon. I have been coming to Lucky and Jenny for around 2 years now. Followed them to several places before they opened up their own salon. They are fantastic, Lucky does my nails and is always so sweet, accommodating and does a fantastic job. Anyone who says otherwise is clearly mistaken. She is not just my nail girl but she has become a friend. They make me feel at home and taken care of here and the salon is very clean and tidy. The prices are more than fair for the services received. Could you go elsewhere and pay a LITTLE less? Probably, but for me, you get what you pay for and here they actually care how your nails look, they aren't just trying to rush you in and out. Lucky and Jenny are the best at shaping and designs in North County. I've referred many friends here and will continue to send anyone who wants to have an awesome nail experience here. I have tried a few nail salons in San Marcos and Nail Bar seems to be the only that gets it right each time I go in. I always make my appointments with Jenny for my nails and Jackie for my pedicures. They both are SO nice and consistently do quality work. Jenny always recommends new colors and I LOVE them every time she does them. Jackie knows exactly how to do my pedicure and I am never disappointed. They take great care of my daughter when she goes in and she absolutely loves the work they do as well.
