I was here last Saturday and the best part about this place was that they were cheap! I paid $30 for a gel polish change and a regular tie polish change! Wooo hoo! For that price I'll lower my standards a bit. So my tech wasn't really nice, friendly or talkative and the shape wasn't really what I asked for but my finger nails still look perfect (no chipping). Both of my big toes have chipped polish 6 days in. For the price, I wont be uppity and Ill accept this place for what it is. read more

To sum it up, this is the best nail salon I have been to in all the years I've lived here in Vegas. I can't thank the staff enough for their meticulous work, transparency in prices, friendliness, and excellent customer service. I had a gel pedicure and manicure done. Nancy was the one who did my pedicure. I also upgraded from the regular pedicure spa into the organic spa. Very relaxing, especially with the massage chair. She made sure I was comfortable, made sure that the water temperature was just right, and after the treatment and pedicure, she packed my shoes into a bag and gave me open-toed slippers so that my toenails won't be ruined. Dan was the one who did my manicure. I appreciate the way he took time to make my nails look good. He made sure that long nails were even and according to the shape that I wanted. If I could give them zero starts, I would. I went in 2019 when I first moved to Tallahassee. I initially booked through someone, so I never really dealt with the other workers in the shop. Once my nail tech resigned from the establishment, I decided to try for a set through the shop, as a walk-in. I ended up getting an older lady who was extremely rough and cut me multiple times. By the time she finished, I had 8-10 cuts between each hand along the border of my fingernails & YES, I WAS CLEARLY BLEEDING. After complaining, they offered me Vaseline, still expecting me to pay full price. With that being said, I tried my best to stay cordial due to me continuing to get my pedicures through them. Fastforward to 2022, I started to go back after covid died down a bit and got some really good pedicures UP UNTIL LAST MONTH. I went and got a set, and they chipped the next day, on three toes. Because I was out of town, I waited a week to go back, so I didn't mind having to pay to get it fixed. Upon fixing them the next day of getting back in town, they chipped again the next day. As the lady is fixing my chipped toes, she makes numerous comments mentioning that I needed a pedicure.................. So, I kept reminding her that that can only mean that someone isn't doing their job because I had just been there the previous day. MIND YOU, I paid for a pedicure twice at this point. I arrived at the location with no appointment and made a appointment 3hrs later. I arrived at the location and checked in. The Asian woman name Lynn( the mean one) did not want to serve us. Another Asian lady told us that we needed to check in with someone else. ( side note : we are 2 blackGirls from the east coast visiting ). I watched the mean one Lynn speak viciously to one and ONLY black tech there. It was rude of her. Finally after we sat down for pedis. Only the black girl served us. I am very disappointed in writing this review, My experience at the salon itself was great, I was pampered by Jackie, which also turned out to be owner of the salon, she was very nice, she offered me wine, we made great conversation, my nails turned out to be about 45 $ but i gave her 60. I was going out of town for the weekend and new it was too late to make an appointment with my nail lady Jojo who works over at Nail society. going into nail Country was like a last minute decision, I was actually going into the Gym when I saw them there and they were open til 9 so I ask if they can take me and they did. Very Nice ladies, however..... not even 24 hours later, actually my first nail broke about 8 AM. it had barely been 12 hours with my nails and my pinky nail breaks and it actually cracks right across and splits my natural nail underneath, now if you've been getting your nails done for as long as I have, this is a nightmare come true, the pain is excruciating ... I thought maybe I was too hard on it when reaching into the cabinet, by end of day I begin to restock the fridge at work, (I work admin at a construction company so my work doesn't consist of "being hard on my hands" ) and when I reach in to get a water bottle my index finger on the opposite hand breaks. I now have 2 broken nails and I call let them know that I was going out of town if they can fix it for me when i get back in town Monday with no charge, a Gentleman answers and says yes... Over the weekend I manage to break Most of them and by the time I came back Sunday night I had 2 nails left on both hands,.... my thumb broke while reaching into my bag for sunblock, another one broke while pulling up my jeans, I'm not sure how my right hand ring finger broke because when I woke up from a nap it was cracked straight across the center of my nail I was so upset. the most upsetting part to me was I spent all that money and my nails had broken alllllllll through out the weekend and my friend was literally wearing Walmart press-ons and not one of her nails broke or fell off or became undone and she did those herself, by the time i got back from my weekend getaway I decided i would rather not even go and tell them because I was upset i felt like i had wasted a good amount of money and I honestly didn't want their product on me, I went a week with no acrylics and gave my poor nails some time to recover because not only did the nails break they damaged my real nails so bad it hurt to even scratch my head.. Next time I'll record the interaction ! I use to love going to this salon until my mother had a bad experience and they remembered me when coming alone on my next visit. My mother is traditional and older so she likes a certain tech to do her pedi. Some are too fast some hardly message you. We went in I requested the man Joe who ended up doing both my mother's and my mine at the same time. He has great service and ignores the gossiping coworkers. The ladies didn't want to do my moms pedi because she told one lady she rushed it and they began speaking and pointing in their language. (Very offensive and rude) I went in a month later w/o my mother and they still remembered me and began shouting and pointing and passing me on to diff nail techs. I'm not a problem person until I feel disrespected! I asked the owner In The first chair what I did wrong because it was very awkward, he ignored me and said yes pedicure .. no one told me where to go so I walked towards a chair waited for a second they still were speaking loud and looking at me as if I were a villain so I politely walked out. I tip very well and normally can handle them speaking in another language because I feel that's their bad energy and gossip but for the second time I wanted to curse them out in english as I felt they were doing me . Its uncomfortable when guest are there and the place doesn't make you feel welcomed. Horrible service. Rude employees. And the manager first seat allows it all . I must say that the owner is very kind and professional when it comes to service. But the quality of nails is by far the worst I have ever got in a very long time. It hasn't even been 5 days and 3 of my nails broke off. I paid $65 for long "coffin shaped" nails. The shape is no where near coffin but because he was so kind I didn't want to give him a hard time. I was really looking forward to a new nail tech. But now I am still in search of a good nail tech with quality products and materials. If we are paying high price for nails then I expect QUALITY products as far as acrylic powder and colors. This is getting out of hand. I feel like like the business of nail salons is slowly dying. Eh, underwhelming. Came for gel fill because my normal place was super busy. Guy seemed really flippant and was rushing, there were only 2 other people in there Kept using WAY too much polish & was using alcohol on my cuticles after every single time he used the polish. Dried out my cuticles so bad! Shape was okay but it was just a fill. The polish was so sloppy, all over my cuticles, he cut me being so rough with the buffer. I was looking for a nail salon that was open after 7pm. I was pleased to know this place was open until 10pm! At first it seemed ok like a regular nail salon. When the lady was painting my toes she informed me with a slight irritation in voice saying "this is going to need three coats"! I politely responded with "okay"! I guess she wasn't happy about that. When it was finished she scrapped my nail causing the polish to mess up. No biggie right? It's an easy fix. She proceeds to tell me it's because of the polish and she was not happy. To me, most nail shops are pretty much the same- but there was something about Nail Country that has me coming back. (and it is not the "flowery country" theme). I walked in without an appointment a couple weeks ago for a pedicure. The staff was very friendly and attentive to their customers. Unlike other shops, the staff were not talking to each other in Vietnamese, which always makes me self conscious that they are discussing my toes. There are 2 flat screen TVs, plenty of current magazines, and they even gave me a cold bottled water. So while I sat in my spa massage recliner chair enjoying my back massage, catching up on the Hollywood gossip, sipping my water waiting for my nails to dry- I went ahead and scheduled another appointment for a manicure with Helen. I just moved to Las Vegas a few months ago and the first task on my list was to find the best places in town to pamper myself. You know, nails, waxing, massages, facials, etc. The usual. With gel nails being all the craze now, it's really tough finding someone who is exceptional at acrylic nails. Well, if you love perfect, long-lasting, thin/natural-looking acrylic nails like I do, Tanya is your woman. She does amazing customized design work and not to mention, she's the sweetest! I am SO lucky that I found this salon and Tanya on my first try. The pedicures are also wonderful. Every person who has ever helped me at Nail Country has always been incredibly thorough (but not that type of thorough where you're stuck in the chair for 25762 hours) and very welcoming. I went, fully aware of all the negative comments, only because it is close to home and open late. I got an mani/pedi, french tips and gel on my hands. I was very pleased with the care I received and the customer service but 5-6 days later one of my gels fell off! I just popped it back on with some glue and tried to wait it out. A few days later I'm looking at my nails and realize that the gel is peeling off from around my cuticles! By this time I'm pretty unhappy with the quality. Today another gel nail fell off and its only been 10 days... so I went in to get them removed because I've had it. I paid $80 for a mani pedi and was told that they would last a min of 2-3 weeks. Charlie is the gut who did my nails and removed them. Very gentle, very patient putting them on but was rough and half assed taking them off. My beat friend and I came in to get our toes done. Our usual place hasn't been up to par, so we decided to venture out. Little did we know this would be our new favorite spot. They got us seated immediately(good timing I guess) they had some really nice, really POWERFUL massage chairs. The woman who did mine (the cute pregnant one) was very careful to make sure the temperature of the water was good, the lotion wasn't too hot, and that the massage was just enough. She made friendly conversation, was gentle where I was ticklish, and really paid a lot of attention to detail around the actual painting of my toes. She made sure I had water to drink. She spent a little bit of extra time doing my massage, and really took the time to make sure I was happy. My daughter and I went in to Nail Country tonight about 7 with a nail emergency, my daughter had just gotten her nails done by a lady at Body Spa North, while she is really nice, the last 2 times my daughters nails were done by her, they broke easily and the gel paint was chipping off badly. She was in a rush and on her phone the whole appointment! I get you have a life but I am buying an hour of your time (and not a cheap hour either, $60.00 for a full set) and when the person is distracted their work suffers. My daughter was so upset, she was shaking and having a full blown melt down/panic attack (I wish I had a picture to show, how super think, lumpy, how many times she sliced her fingers with the file and every nail was a different shape and the design she did was 3 simple dots and they were way off center) :( Back to the pros at Nail Country, we all want our fingers and toes to look like a million bucks, but who wants to drop hundreds of dollars? When we went in none of the nail techs could believe how bad her nails looked, they even questioned if the lady at Body Spa North had her license! Her nails could not be fixed, so we had to get a whole new set, worth it because her nails are perfect, smooth as glass and look just like the picture my daughter showed her tech, Lynn. I have seen Lynn for the last five or six nail appointments. I couldn't be happier with her work. She does a thorough job and is careful to make sure I'm happy. The prices are extremely reasonable and the gel manicures hold up without peeling or cracks. I typically get a basic gel manicure every three weeks and a gel pedicure every 8-12 weeks.
