In addition to my toe being infected with nail fungus, now they won't return my calls or emails. I've reported them to tthe State Board, because this is clearly bad business. The crazy part is, she told me there's no way you can get nail fungus from one visit to a nail salon. Are you kidding me?? It only takes one time if it isn't clean. I'm beyond pissed to now be ignored after coming here on numerous occasions spending my money. I can't get my toes done properly until this heals smh. She even had the nerve to offer me solution to help get rid of it, and I'm glad I didn't go along with it, because my doctor put me on a medication. I have to take it for three months now. First time here for a pedi and mani. I called to make an appointment and the wait time was ok. Ok because she took me right away for the manicure but I still had to wait 20 minutes for a pedicure. I literally had to pull out my feet from getting so pruny. My manicure was ok and uneven. She kept trying to sell me on how better gel is. I had to ask her to clean out and make the nail polish smooth looking by the cuticle area. It looked like it was painted by a 8 year old. This of course after her arguing with me asking me what am I talking about. Pedicure was good. The technician was very nice and friendly. Plus she took time to clean my nails as well as scrubbed my feet. The feet massage was great too. read more

Love this place. The ladies (& gentleman) are very pleasant and friendly. This place is clean and sanitary. Cindy (my regular) is very detail with her work and I really enjoy the foot massage. I've been coming to this place for couple of months now sporadically and they always address me by my name (personal touch). Other nail salon I've been before they don't even bother to know my name. I AM IN LOVE!! So I'm new to Antioch, and finding a new nail tech was a struggle for me. Mainly because I just didn't want to try anyone. But I saw this place has 5 stars, mainly speaking highly of Jennifer. And let me tell you! THESE PEOPLE ARE RIGHT! The whole atmosphere was just different. There isn't a bunch of people staring at you right when you walk in, the employees are friendly. And they offer you hot tea or water when you sit in their chair. Not only was the vibe great, but the place is clean. And Jennifer really took her time to shape my nails. You can honestly see that she's a perfectionist. I can understand that because I'm not always interested in making small talk. But when I requested to schedule a follow-up appointment for a fill in 2 weeks, Emily said that she does not schedule appointments in advance. Wait, what? Shop is very clean and the leading lady is very nice and very professional when honoring appointment times and being honest about wait times which is really a first I've seen and heard for ANY nail shop. The lady that did my pedicure did a very nice job. Another lady did my manicure and she was very rough and in a rush. My gel nail polish is thick to the point that it almost looks like acrylics! Nail polish should look fine and smooth. From the side of my nails it looks like waves. The shape of my nail was round and after my mani it got even more narrow. Quite a bit of nail polish not only on my nail but my finger tips too, was not cleaned. Overall I do like the shop and what I'm hearing. Still willing to try but maybe something else other then a mani? Kinda bummed about my mani but my pedi was great! UPDATE: I went back to Nail Fever and got my nails fixed! Jenni who is the lead there is very kind and did not question me about my manicure other then the fact that she wanted to fix what I was not happy with. This shop is not your average spot because they will tell you the truth whether to wait or come back if you can. And that is what I totally respect. I just went on monday 4/3/23 how does gel polish chip within the first two days today is 4/5/23? I spent almost $300 for three sets of toes, and hands. Out of the three only one set of toes and hands came out ok. Tina was the only one to do a really good job, so with that thank you Tina. Went in for the first time for a full set . Been looking for a new place to go . Loved my set . They're gorgeous . The issue I have is the salon doesn't have prices posted inside . I was told on the phone my set would be 50 then I was charged 60 . I didn't mind and still tipped cause I loved them . It's been a week and 2 of my nails started lifting . I called the salon asking if they could fix them and they told me it would be $5 . It's just frustrating because $60 nails shouldn't pop off putting on yoga pants . I've had press ons last longer . Just disappointed all around . She never told me to wash my hands she just brushed them off and did a top coat and because they were bumpy from the dust she just put another coat on top . After she put cuticle oil on and I asked if I could wash my hands first because they were dusty and then she just moved onto her next customer . read more

Desperate needs call for desperate measures--and ya' girl was desperate for a Brazilian Wax, baybee! 5 stars to Linda for such a wonderful waxing experience! On a Sunday night around 5 PM, not even Groupon could help a Sista out; Geez! I was getting my nails done at a location in Pittsburg at the same time as calling all the nail salons in the Bay Area to see if anyone was available to do my wax. As soon as I told them I needed the Brazilian Wax they would inform me that the technician wasn't in and call back tomorrow. However, Nail Fever did not disappoint! An hour before they closed, I was able to get a hold of Jenny who informed me that I could come in at any time. I quickly got my nails done and headed straight over to get waxed, baybee! Nail Fever is nestled in the plaza at the corner of Hillcrest Ave. I walked in and was greeted by the nail technician, whom I assumed was Jenny. I waited for Linda to finish doing her last client and we went to the back. Honestly, I didn't know what to expect. Ya' girl is so used to using a Groupon deal, I had assumed it was going to be very similar but alas it wasn't. It was as of we were going back into time. We went back to the old school strip waxing. ::SHRUGS:: Trust me, I ain't complaining, I'm just sayin'. So, let me just say that I am very comfortable with my body, more like too comfortable. So once Linda and I got inside the room, I had no problems dropping the panties-antes, yessir! Linda was respectful though and gave me time to get undressed. The process wasn't long at all and took about half an hour. Linda was very efficient and made sure that she took her time and got all the hair off. I appreciated how comfortable she made me feel. One of my favorite waxing experiences although it wasn't the hot wax. I would recommend Linda to anyone that is looking for a wax technician. She takes her time and she takes her work seriously. Linda makes sure she takes her time and that you leave hairless. Also, they do amazing nail art designs. Whenever my nail technician is not available, I will also give this place a try! SAD SAD SAD! We as customers keep them employed. Without the business of customers mean no business. I worked with a girl again who doesn't speak English and decided to cut my Natural long nail without asking me or getting a translator. There to busy speaking in there Language instead of working. Why should we who's paying them should have to listen to them for an entire hour. I feel they're talking badly about customers in their Language. My nails looked horrible. Emily is amazing (I'll continue her review at the bottom). She was unavailable last time I went in and I ended up going to Jenny (cause who doesn't read reviews for specific names before scheduling). She's so sweet, welcoming, and listened to me with what I wanted and fixed the little stuff that I'd usually be intimidated to tell another nail tech. (I know, why be intimidated when you're a paying customer- but I've experienced the rudest of the rude in the past) However, Jenny was super understanding, gave the best recommendations with color and shape. To be honest, I even had a great time just having a conversation with her in that 1hr. Emily, you are A MAZING and I can't express that enough. So much attention to detail and you have always filed my nails sharp enough for me to kill! I live out of state now and I'm having a hard time finding someone like you! I'm new to the area and Ive tried this place a couple times now with hopes that it would be better the next time. It was not better the next time. I get simple regular mani/pedis and the service I receive looks like I did it myself. I'm quite capable of clipping my nails, filing them, and rubbing lotion on my legs for 2min. I expect my cuticles to be trimmed and a clean nail painting, but maybe that's my fault for having an expectation. I'll spend my time and gas money to go back to the Bay for excellent service. The environment is clean and neat, and I have always been offered something to drink (water or tea) during my visits. The owner, Jenny, does a great job of responding to inquiries via Yelp, on the phone, and in person. She has a wonderful personality and does her best to accommodate clientele. My favorite nail tech is Nina! She is honest, does good work, and is a genuinely nice person. Here are some details about my recent visits: 1/24/18 Drop-in Full set by Nina $40 + tip Pedicure $25 + tip Full-set ballerina shape with mood change polish - Poppin! Pedi includes light hot stone massage, but I found the scrubbing portion and removal of dead-skin on feet subpar. 2/14/18 Drop-in Fill by Nina $30 + tip Another beautiful set! 3/15/18 Drop-in Fill by Nina $30+ tip 3rd time is perfection, which tells me Nina know what shes doing :) 4/21/18 Appointment Tips removed (soaked off) Gel Manicure & Pedicure $50 + tip I broke my nail, down to the meat, ouchhhh, so I asked Nina what she thought....she kept it real with me saying give your real nail a chance to recover. I know a lot of nail techs would have slapped some glue on top of my tender finger and stuck a new tip on top, without a second thought. Instead she soaked and removed all of my tips, and gave me the best mani possible. I appreciate that! Nina also did my Pedicure which was much improved from the last one I received, here in January. However, I must be honest and say a little more scrubbing in certain areas should be part of a $25 pedicure. My feet are not extremely hard, to begin with, so it doesn't take much to make them silky smooth. Conventional Manicure & Pedicure $35 + tip (for my daughter) My daughter enjoyed herself and was pleased with her mani pedi however she did mention that her toe polish was sloppy and even showed me where her big toe nail was missing paint on the side. Again, for the price of $25, a bit more care should be shown in this area. Overall, I can recommend Nail Fever to those looking for quality nails at a decent price. read more

Right now at this moment in time 3 stars is what I'm giving. It was my first time and yes I called for an appointment and was told to come in 30 minutes and I did. But I waited another 30 minutes to even be sat to start my nails. Everything went great besides feeling like being cut a few times. I paid 50 for a gel fill with metallic (I think that's what it was) on top. Not bad price for me I thought and I did have 1 broken nail but Jenny didn't charge for it. Not my BIG DEAL BREAKER is getting cut when getting my nails done. This happened in one spot I know for sure. But the next morning I woke up to a very painful cuticle. I had a cut on 3 fingers total and the one was extremely painful. So I'm going to say I won't be going back due to this. But yes the nails came out cute. Good job to that! read more

I asked for a drip nail design and the lady doing the design didn't know how but she didn't tell me until after she had put the colored acrylic and shaped my nails the way I wanted them for that design. When she tried doing the designed and failed horribly she then proceeded to push me to get nail stickers and I kept telling her no I don't want that. She then handed me off to Jennifer (the owner) which also sucked. I was so over it so I told her to do all black. She didn't even put black she ended up putting a bluish black and she left white specks in the polish. The nails are crooked and not the shape I asked for. -100 out of 10 read more

I've been coming here for a while and this is my go to spot. They typically do a good job. This time I'm not sure what happened. The lady that did my nails did not pay attention to what I was asking for, nor did she ask if what she was doing is what I wanted. At first I asked her about French tips and how much it was, she just said okay and ignored my question. I pulled out a photo, and showed her what I wanted, and before I did, without asking she shortened my nail. I decided not to do that since it was too short, and showed her the photo below and asked her to do that but a more nude color if they have it. She said okay and continued to do my nails.. they looked nothing like the photo I showed and she did not ask me about the shape, length, or color the entire time. At the end I asked if she could fix the shape at least. She barely touched it ONE nail and asked if it was okay. I was so over it and said yeah it's fine. I paid in left. When I got home I really could not stand my nails and went back. I spoke to someone else, I think she was the manager, and nicely explained that I really did not like my nails and how I was not even asked about the color or anything and showed her what I originally asked for. When the girl came back to fix my nail I told her I wanted to change the color too because it wasn't what I had asked for. The manager came and basically said they only have one color for that, and when I said I've gotten that color done at their shop before, she changed what she was saying and kept saying they have thousands of colors so it's hard to pick and basically putting the blame on me. The lady started saying stuff to the manager in their language, and it was obvious it was not professional. I was very disappointed and even more disappointed at the way she "fixed" my nails afterwards which I also added a photo of. After this experience, I will not be returning back to nail fever. It's sad that instead of taking another hour to actually fix a customer's nails correctly so they would want to come back as a returning customer, they instead put the blame on the customer and then do a terrible and incomplete job to "fix" it just to get you out the door. They will definitely be losing customers if the lady that did my nails continues to provide the type of service she provided me today. read more
