I've been living in the area for almost four years now and have found my go-to nail salon. Sophie and her sisters are always so incredibly pleasant and calm when providing their services. I usually get a gel manicure and pedicure with them and they always meet the mark! The vibes are very calm as well, good r&b or pop music is often playing, and I realize I'm not really hit with those toxic nail polish fumes when I'm in there as they usually keep the A/C running or have a good airflow in their place. Overall, I come here when I know I need my nails done by people who care. Also, I love that Sophie is easy to reach when it comes to making an appointment. She is so responsive & sweet! I paid $85 for a ghastly full set (with clear gel coat) that is uneven (dimples, bubbles, etc.), misshapen (I don't know what kind of almonds they've been eating, but these are more like deformed kayaks), and entirely lacking. Beyond the length, my biggest complaint is definitely the shape. They're just terrible. The gel pedi ($70!) wasn't bad but for $70, I want more than just "not bad". Paid $130 total !! Never have paid that much ever in Oakland or anywhere. Putting off a pedicure for a July 4th wedding is already setting myself up for a loss, but Bella Nail Salon saved me!! They were the one spot I found that was actually open on this holiday and the service was top notch! I walked in right when they opened and was greeted with smiles from everyone in the salon. Terri helped me out and was amazing!!! My pedicure rating is highly based on the massage I get during the whole pedi and I can honestly say, this was the absolute best massage I have gotten from a nail salon! Really enjoyed this salon! Most nail salons are not open on Sundays, so I searched high and low to find one that would be open for a pedicure with some out of town, guests that I had! Bella nail salon came up, and the reviews looked great. Upon arrival, the first thing I noticed was that the salon was clean and smelt clean. That was really important to see firsthand!!! We did schedule appointments, and we did have to wait for over 30 minutes, usually that would annoy me, but I wasn't in a hurry. I am interested to see if that might happen again in the future. They had a small but great selection for gel polish. The massage chairs were really comfortable and worked great. Again so so so clean, the cleanest nail salon I've ever been in! I do think the nail techs did a great job. My only complaint is that I felt like I did not have lotion rubbed on my feet. Instead, it was some type of oil that ended up feeling like a dry rub instead of a nice massage. I got a pedicure here for the first time with Sophie. She was very sweet! I asked for french tip on my toes and she did a great job. I liked how she even recommended adding a pink polish underneath for the base color, which I loved. She asked how I found out about the salon and I said through Yelp so it is only right that I write them a Yelp review lol. Went to my bestie's regular place for a mani/pedi when I first touched down back on Cali 3 weeks ago. Beware, they charge for things that are not made clear and don't make sense. Not cool! There's a fee to take gel polish off your toes, $10-?? Girl, that's crazeee! My total was $115! I paid it, but I was a bit taken back. And I tipped each lady $10. There's extra for a French mani, too. They are nice women, the shop is polished and clean, the music is SPOT ON, but to go here is a crap shoot with pricing, and I don't like surprises. This service is supposed to be relaxing. I want to set up my routine services for myself. $95 for gel mani and regular pedi-no gel, I can't afford. What about my brows? I got home in the light, and I could see thru what was fluorescent orange polish on my big toe. I'm good. I wouldn't be able to splurge in here. My mani--BEAUTIFUL, STILL, after 3 weeks! A $20 discount was offered today, but the damage is done, so I passed because that's what the price should've been, initially. I want to be a regular customer, not be discounted today because I called you on an overcharge. My bestie is a regular AND she's brought Bella PLENTY of clients AND they are all charged differently. That day, my bestie was charged more, too, for her gel mani. Price increase was the excuse. I don't like this behavior in this industry. Just got my 2nd pedicure by Terry. So relaxing & a perfect gel pedi I'm definitely booking a pedi with her once a month!

I really wanted to like this salon. Unfortunately, I left unsatisfied and almost felt robbed point blank. I came in for a gel fill, which normally ranges from $30-$60 depending on what you get, but I normally keep it simple. This time I decided to spice it up and get a French manicure style just a little different ( see photos) in which the nail tech would need to polish the tip then remove some polish to make a V shape almost. Firstly, she didn't use a gel polish on the tips but she did use a gel top coat (1) when she was done. I find this odd especially because I'm paying for a gel service and regular polish takes forever to dry hence why I always opt for gel. My fears became a reality because as soon as I left my tips were already smudged. The tips were left uneven and 2 nails were filed crooked. Why did I feel robbed? They charged me $75 for this fill. $75!!!!!! Honestly I could have went somewhere else, had my nails filed straight and bedazzled for $75. Nice shop but you pay for quality and they should really reconsider re-pricing based on the quality of services they are providing to their customers. Horrible service for taking out ingrown nails. The lady just clipped them short and kept on telling me that she took them out even though I expressed that my toes were still hurting. Never had this experience for a simple pedicure/ingrown nail removal. And the other lady had the audacity to charge an additional $5 for taking out my ingrown nails which was just two toes. Never coming back here since they are charging Peninsula prices for sub par ingrown removal. Don't waste your money here, so many other places are worth it. read more

It's hard to find a place where I'm comfortable as I am VERY picky and as a licensed cosmetologist I know what to look out for. When you walk into Bell's you feel welcomed. I moved my mother in law in with me around March of 2021. She has dementia, among other things. I have been bringing her here every month since shortly afterwards and I had never taken the time to review. When we began coming here, we lived about five blocks away and have since moved about a 20 minute drive away. The ladies here have always treated her with the utmost of kindness and respect. I could probably change salons and she wouldn't know the difference in quality but anytime I find myself in the area of the salon, she recognizes the building and that alone is enough for me since she doesn't always remember what my car looks like (she rides in this thing multiple times a day seven days a week ) or if she's eaten a meal or taken her meds (all of which I handle for her) These ladies are amazing with her and she now doesn't wear socks (which she used to do religiously every day) just to show off her pedicure. It is the one thing each month that makes her feel amazing and her face lights up when I pull into the lot to walk her in. Thank you to the staff here for the patience, kindness, quality of work and overall value of service. They are honest and upfront if you ask questions and we will continue to enjoy our experiences with them for as long as they are available. read more

I was looking for a new nail salon and decided to give place a shot solely based on the amount of reviews. I called and set an appointment on a Wednesday and they were able to accommodate the time I needed. This place is across a Walmart do not on the best of areas. You get there and I was greeted by a lady and she took me back. The place is small but it was clean. They use a plastic bag cover on the pedicure tub. They don't have a lot of colors but they have the most popular ones. The first thing I told the lady is I have ingrown toe nails and to please cut my ingrown. They refer to you by name that was a first. She kept checking on me to make sure it was ok. She cut my nail only a little on the side. I left her do her thing since I told her what I wanted. Yo be honest the massage sucked. I did not feel relaxed at all. Before she was going to add nail polish I asked her to cut the side of my toe nail. Like I said it was ingrown and there was a big piece of nail. She painted my nails ok. I gave her an $8 tip to be nice and I respect her time but I was a basic gel pedicure nothing special. I was there a total of 35 mini from beginning to end. I went to pay and a lady who spoke English well told me $60 for a regular gel pedicure. I agree with the reviews I felt robbed. It regularly cost $40-$45. So I paid $68 for a regular pedicure!!! Even if everything was perfect it's too high. I'm sorry a regular gel pedicure is not worth $68 it's ridiculous!! My gel mani was ruined after a couple of hours, seems like she did not cure the polish with UV long enough, it started to bubble under and the nail polish came right off. I just went to this salon for the first time. Its clean and the ladies that work there are friendly. They have all the nail polishes in the back so you have to go though the color key samples to pick your color vs looking at a rack of polishes. The location is a bit inconvenient with the one way in/out opening in the parking lot but I guess that is out of their control. I unfortunately forgot the person's name who did my mani/pedi but she did an amazing job on the pedi. The pedi chairs are clean and the remotes are propped up for easy access. If you get a regular mani/pedi they use a quick dry top coat which is great so you aren't sitting there for twenty minutes after waiting for your nails to dry. They take debit/cc/cash from what I could see. Minus one star for pricing as a regular mani/pedi was $50 but they discount on Sundays ($7 off). It kind of works out because Sunday mornings are my fav time to go to the nail salons. There is no loyalty program from what I can see, it would be good if they implemented one that would potentially offset the high cost. Also, what is up the nail salons in Pittsburg area - no one does the hot steamed towel after the massage on the mani/pedi????
