Gel X Manicure (no design): $100 Gel Pedicure (no design): $50 Called in to see if there was any appointments for a pedicure and they advised to come now. When I arrived, I decided to get gel x as well. Originally felt bad because I thought I took a lady's spot. She came in after for a gel manicure and I might have taken her manicurist when I asked for gel x last minute. It wasn't until another lady was helped next to me that I felt out of place. She was offered a beverage while I was not. Could be possible that since there was an empty cup there already (not mine) that they assumed I was already offered one. After the pedicure was complete, I was NOT moved to the manicure station and was finished at the pedicure station which hurt my back since I needed to twist to the right. There was another lady who got moved from pedicure to manicure station but I am not sure if that depends on who helps you but I was the only customer who was not Korean. No ambience. Pedicure stations are set up with wood and buckets of water instead of real massage chairs. Leg and arm massage lasted less than a minute each ligament. Nails are lifting after 2 weeks and 1 already fell off. Will not be back. read more

I called in at about 11 AM on a Friday, and the lady said that I could go in immediately, so I stopped by about 15 minutes later. The door is locked, but there is a doorbell to ring when you arrive. There was only one customer when I came in, and another came by during my appointment, so I'm not super busy at this time. I think there were about 3 workers. The girl who did my nails was very attentive, I appreciated that she really took her time preping my nails and shaping them. I was there for about an hour. read more

It's been a week and I moved/have been really hard on my nails but they've held up really well and don't have a single chip. The ladies working there were so sweet, will be back. read more

*4.5 STARS* Since moving to Koreatown, I've been in search of a nearby nail salon that is reasonably priced. This review is for my experience of getting a pedicure. This is a small shop with simple and basic amenities for those seeking a pedicure without the extra frills. A gel pedicure was $50, and there is a sign on the wall that requests a 15% minimum tip. Zelle is also accepted as a form of payment. There is a large parking lot in the back. I called to schedule an appointment the day of, and was quickly accommodated by Jina, who did an excellent job with my service. Not to mention it took only a little more than an hour to get my pedicure done. She is super meticulous and I loved that the pedicure service included things I cared about most -- cuticle removal, pumice stone scrub, hot water soak, etc. The massage and scrub felt thorough and relaxing. They have a wide selection of cute colors to choose from, like baby blues and pinks. I am very happy with my experience and pedicure; would definitely come back again. read more

Loved it here! Felt just like the nail salons in Korea! Went with my mom and sister, so we each got serviced by all of the ladies working here and they were all great. Very meticulous with the cleaning and details of the designs. There's also parking in the back- a huge plus for the area. Will definitely be back the next time I'm in LA! read more

Not feeling it. $150 to have GelX removed and a fresh set put on. No art, just a basic white. That is insanely expensive for even the nicest of places and this is a very tiny, unkempt shop. The nails look good, don't get me wrong. But not for more than double than other places. I didn't have a relaxing experience either...I felt tense most of the time I was there, didn't get good vibes. I felt like they didn't like me for some reason. The paint on my thumb rubbed off after a week - no chipping, just rubbed off exposing the acrylic. On another finger the nail cracked today, 2.5 weeks after being done. Usually I go 4 weeks with no issues with GelX since it is so strong. I've been trying to find a new GelX place since moving and am still on the hunt...Wompwomp! read more

Jina is my saving grace when it comes to my nails. Earlier this year, I went in with the most damaged and paper thin nails, she has helped me grow out my natural nails and made them healthy again! I use my hands a lot for work and am quite rough on them. As you can see in my picture with the pink nails - that is a 4 week grow out. No lifting, no nails broken. No other nail salon has provided me this type of quality over and over again other than Jina and her girls! She's honestly the best and will also tell you which colors would look better based on your nail length and shape (I have really weirdly shaped nails and she fixed that!). I trust her with any design I bring in and honestly, she makes them BETTER!! And hey, even my baby sister flies in from Texas to get her nails done here! Warning. This place is a scam. For the same services, other nail salons will charge you $50-$150. THIS PLACE charged me $250. That's absolutely insane. For $250, the nails should look perfect, but the application of gel was very thick and the details were messy. EW! Would never come back here. They are not a fair or good business. read more

By the end of the first week or second my gel nails start to come off and every time I wash my hair it keeps getting caught in my hair! I recently moved to Koreatown and was very excited to find a new local nail salon close to home. My new landlord recommended Nail Korea and they did not disappoint. The salon was very clean and organized and the nail technicians were friendly, professional and very skilled. My manicure was done by Yumi who was very attentive and gentle with my service. She was also patient while I requested to see different colors before making my final selection, and even suggested the perfect accent color. She did a wonderful job with the accent nail! Best spot in Koreatown to get your nails done hands down. Yumi does such a great job every time. I always get gel nails and they rarely ever chip or lift even when I'm pushing 4 weeks. This place is such a scam. I usually don't even write reviews, but your nail lifts like this after 6 days of getting them done. The owner even charged $10 extra for "extra layer of coating for gel" without even telling you - she told me after applying. There are so many good places in ktown for way better quality and a better price. I would never recommend this place. read more

I went here because I live down the street and i needed a mani/pedi for my graduation the next day. Service was ok. The lady who did my mani/pedi was nice but of course there's a language barrier. Pretty pricey. I paid $100 for gel mani/pedi and afterwards the lady told me it was 15-20% tip and honestly the nails weren't that great. Wouldn't come here again. read more

Was walking by with my coworker decided to check it out. There was 3 females sitting on the pedi chairs no customers, I walked in and asked what was the price to paint my nails. The girl quickly said $100 I asked just to paint? My coworker said she only wants to exchange her nail coloring, the lady quickly answered we don't do that. Like most ppl I'm particular when it comes to nails.. this is the only place I've walked out feeling satisfied with the quality and service. My mani pedi lasts x2 longer than other places and I feel happy every time I look down at my nails (which is very often) Jina, who is also the owner, has great attention to detail and does awesome designs. The rest of her staff are also friendly and does an awesome job. Nail lady was decent. I showed her a design and I was told it's outdated. Then I asked for recommendations but she didn't give me any. She started showing the other staff the reference photo. I think it would have been nice for her just to do it without saying anything or to have given me a design rec if she was going to say something like that. Massage was very mediocre. Not very strong. Nails have some space near the nail bed despite being just done. Gem additions cost me extra, yet one of them already fell off after 3 days. I'm not from the area & needed to get a mani/pedi after hoping off my flight. I gave them a call & was able to take me in ! When I came in I was very impressed by how clean & nice everyone is! The made sure to verify vaccination cards before sitting down. For both the manicure and pedicure the girls who helped me were very meticulous & took their time. (I was really impressed!) I will admit the price for a gel manicure is a little more than I'm use to, but after seeing how well they did and the time they took, I understand. do not go here, my nails only lasted a week and was more expensive than any nail salon I paid. I got my nails done for the first and last time. I came here on the 17th. paid 155 plus tip for regular polish pedicure and regular polish w/ tips. already expensive and the nail technician nickel and dimed me for everything and insisted I tip her more which was ready bad vibes and tacky. today is the 29th I came back because since it's been less than 2 weeks they should at least offer to fix them. they did not! she said it's been 2 weeks which is wrong it was only 10 days and the first night I had them they popped off. do not go here! overpriced chop shop nail salon, not even luxurious and they nails dont even last. read more

I think her name is spelled Yuumi, but she did my nails and she was so friendly and made the experience so fun. I asked for "glass-like" nails and she definitely nailed it. I couldn't stop looking at them because I loved them so much. I usually do my nails by myself at home, but this experience definitely made me miss going into the salon. read more

Yesterday, I had my first and last gel pedicure there. It cost $55 without sugar scrubs, the experience was disappointing. During the pedicure, cleaning my cuticles was painful, and using her nails to clean extra gel color was unprofessional and unclean. The color is still on my skin, the lady barely applied lotion on my legs for about 30 seconds, no massage. Extra charges applied for most colors. read more

Although I do not speak Vietnamese, her tone and reaction were clearly unprofessional and made me feel uncomfortable. It sounded as though she was questioning why I was there, despite my explaining exactly what I wanted. When I asked if there was a problem, I was simply told that they were not confident they could achieve the look I wanted and therefore could not help me. I was shocked by the lack of professionalism and customer service. Had they communicated this during our text consultation, I would not have wasted my time driving to the salon and coming in for the appointment. I completely understand if a salon is unable to perform a specific service, but the way the situation was handled was disappointing and unprofessional. Customers should be treated with respect, regardless of whether the salon decides to take on the service requested. Will not be coming back.

When I called to make an appointment on the phone, the guy who answered was so rude and after repeating the time I wanted to schedule, he repeated the wrong time back. After he repeated the incorrect time back, I repeated the correct time twice. The salon is new and clean, but all their services are overpriced. They charge $25 more for french tip and $20 for chrome/cateye. The designs are extra depending on your liking. Luckily, I ended up liking how my nails came out because Mimi kept asking if everything was ok throughout the entire time. I did ask her to adjust a few things, and she did it with no problem. On the other hand, I believe his name was Kevin, was so aggressive when doing my pedi. One of my toes have a thicker white line than the other, and I mentioned that, but he did not seem to fix it. In addition to that, I could hear his long sigh the entire time he was doing my nails. On top of paying for your services, parking in DTLA is difficult and it took over 2 hours for a mani/pedi. Mind you, parking is $4/hour for metered parking, if you're even lucky enough to find one. Prior to making an appointment, I wanted to see all the reviews. Almost all the reviews said positive things so I thought I would give them a shot. All the reviews shown on here and Google say wonderful things because they ask you to scan a QR code and leave a review. Unfortunately, I will not be returning.

I have been hankering for a pedicure for a while, and not just any pedicure. I wanted something…read moremore therapeutic. My feet have been through it the last couple of years (sports) and I wanted to get serious about caring for them properly, not just getting them painted. Of course, I turned to Yelp for the scoop and zeroed in on Ms. Glen's Therapeutic Manicures & Pedicures. I finally got a chance to go see Ms. Glen and it was everything I wanted and more. It was relaxing (I fell asleep)! It was restorative! My feet felt and looked healthy and cared for. I didn't get polished which is great because I have been wanting to go natural for a while to let my nails breathe and focus on what's really happening with my toe nail health. So may things I loved (in no particular order): - Very communicative from the appointment (via phone) to the confirmation and directions (via text) - Ms. Glen greeted me at the door - The studio smells divine (really sets the tranquil mood) - The studio was intimate (just me - yay) - The space was very clean (I am a stickler for clean) - There was a complimentary water waiting on me - Ms. Glen has developed her own techniques and products which speaks to her dedication and specialization (I love people who are passionate about what they do!) - Every step of the treatment was appreciated! (very detailed, very attentive, think - pampering your feet from the in-depth massage to the parrafin to the soaks to the grooming and much much more) - I got socks! This was such a special and much needed last step that I never knew I needed. It made my feet more comfortable and protected after such a beautiful treatment. She even asked me my size. How's that for customer service! - Now this one may seem trivial but I never had to hold my feet up during the treatment unless I was transitioning from the bowl to a towel. I do not like having to do that while someone attends to the bottom of my feel or heels. Ms. Glen has it worked out where I can truly relax the whole time. I also left with one of Ms. Glen's therapeutic hand and foot oils in Lemon. She makes the oils herself! It smells so good and leaves a refreshing but not overpowering scent. It feels good oiling my feet every night. Like another reviewer said, this is not your run of the mill pedicure shop. This is a therapeutic service that is worth every penny. My goal is to make this a regular treatment. If my feet are healthy, I am healthier! Thanks Ms. Glen for such a wonderful experience! I'll be back. And thanks again for the massage therapist recommendation. Rest and recovery, here I come!

If your feet are in need of TLC, renewal and restoration, Ms. Glen has a carefully curated service that will leave your feet feeling brand new. I had recently purchased a soap that helps with skin discoloration. It hasn't been making any improvement in the uneven skin tone and dark marks on my feet. Turns out I just needed an appointment with Ms. Glen. The exfoliation she provided literally rubbed away 15 years from my feet. My dry scratchy heels were left supple and smooth and the calloused areas were left soft. Had I known what I was in store for I would have taken before and after pictures. She even provided socks for me to leave in, to seal in the moisture. My favorite part hands down was the massage. She kneaded into these tired soles, and I needed that! I paid a little more than the price listed (which she does quote as a base price) but she also spent almost 2x the amount of time listed. My Fiancé noticed the difference in appearance and feel immediately. I intentionally waited until 24 hours+ had passed to write this review, wanting to see if my feet would feel just as nice. THEY DO!! Ms. Glen definitely puts pride in her work and I love how she checked in throughout the process to ensure I was satisfied along the way. I recommend her service to anyone looking to give their feet a more youthful feel and look. And if your feet have severe issues that might keep you from visiting open public salons, her private suite will help you feel comfortable and secure. Right before I left, Ms. Glen threw in a bottle of her therapeutic hand & foot oil once she saw how dry my hands were. I had discussed my upcoming nuptials with her and she wanted to make sure my hands moisturized properly for my big day, even providing a demonstration on proper application. Ms. Glen is a gem!

Unexpected Charges and Lack of Transparency…read more I booked my appointment in person on Tuesday 7/15 because I wasn't sure what to select online for Gel-X removal. I trusted the front desk staff to guide me, and was quoted $80 for Gel-X, builder gel removal, and French tip. At my appointment on Friday 7/18, I was unexpectedly charged $110! I was told the card on file couldn't be used for the service--only for late fees or no-shows--which made no sense. If the salon can charge the card for penalties, why not for the actual service being provided? This was especially frustrating because the appointment was a gift for a huge accomplishment of mine, from my mother, so of course I didn't have the physical card with me. On top of that I was also charged extra for nail length without warning, and billed twice for polish: $20 for gel color and $15 for French tip, even though I only received 1 design; french tip. When I asked for clarification, staff just pointed to the online pricing--but I booked in person to avoid that confusion. The experience felt misleading. I intentionally came in person to avoid confusion and relied on the staff to guide me accurately. Unfortunately, that did not happen. I would not recommend this salon to anyone. If you're considering booking here, I strongly suggest looking elsewhere for more transparent and customer-friendly service.
