For those of you like me, who aren't great at commitment, this is a walk in only nail salon. Making an appointment ahead of time can sometimes be quite stressful, or I just keep forgetting all together! So when summer was here and my feet weren't ready, I was able to waltz in here on a whim and get a beautiful pedicure. There's your typical wall of polishes to choose from, but some brands I don't recognize and wasn't sure of the quality. They did have plenty of China Glaze and OPI and I was able to find a color I liked. You are always welcome to bring your own polish as well. There are 12 each of pedicure and manicure stations. The pedicure chair was adjustable and comfy. I didn't try the massage controls. There was a television with the news on. The decor is neutral and serene. When I arrived, I was able to be taken directly back after signing in. By the time I left, there were people waiting, it was hopping! There were plenty of staff on, about 10 technicians I believe. I don't think anyone waited longer than a half hour. They appeared to be sanitizing the equipment pretty well to my untrained eye. The technician I got seemed to be running the store. I asked for a spa pedicure over the basic. It was aggressive and fast. It took about 30 minutes in all. Other patrons were being worked on longer. I don't think my technician cheated me, she was just very efficient. If you don't mind a quick aggressive pedicure, this is the place for you. It is not a relaxing full service spa type experience but it's super convenient and I was thrilled with the quality of the results. I paid $32+ tip. Like I said, my feet had been neglected all winter and now they're super soft and pretty! read more

I requested a pedi without polish and a nail fill. I waited for my turn, sat down in a chair for my pedi, but it malfunctioned. I was told by the front receptionist she would be back in a minute to fix it, but a half hour later I was still sitting with my feet in cold water and no fix. When the nail tech finally came over, she could not fix the problem, but instead of moving me to one of the other 4 chairs with a bag in the bowl, her solution was to just take the bag out , empty the bowl and refill the water without any sanitizer in it. Very unhygienic. She did a horrible job on my feet, left polish on my 2 big toes and hurried me off the chair so she could run and take another customer. I sat in the back of the place, waiting for my fills to be done, and more than 45 minutes later, after watching 3 walk ins get taken, I finally had someone take me. She did an OK job, but the woman up front who seems to be in charge realized what poor service I got and apologized for it. I was in that place for 3 hours for a fill and pedi! I had to go back today because they neglected to charge me for the horrible pedi. When I pointed out that what they did with my pedi was a violation of health codes, this same in charge woman told me it didn't matter because they already had a health inspection recently and they passed with flying colors!! I told her that I bet the Health Dept would like to know that as soon as they passed inspection they stopped worrying about following code. She said this in front of about 7 customers!! I have been coming to this place for easily 5 years so I'm not unfamiliar to them, but I have noticed a serious drop in both customer service and quality of work for about a year. The woman who acts like she is in charge regularly starts a customer, then when someone she'd rather work on comes in, she callously passes who she is working on to someone else so she can be the top dog. I do NOT recommend this place. Find any other place, even get your best friend to do your nails. Nail Lacquer in Mentor is TERRIBLE! read more

Sadly this place looks good from the outside, but be warned, it is the absolute worst place to go in the Mentor area to get any nail service done!!! They are rude, they have no intention on taking good care of you or even trying to bring you back as a regular client! It's unsanitary, fast and you are just a number, read more

The facility is very clean. The people are very nice and they made sure I was happy with the nails. Though it was a little far from my cuticle I am overall very happy with how they turned out. I will 100% return for nails again!! read more

Most unprofessional workers I've ever encountered in my life!! Had me waiting for hours to get started on. Then destroyed my nails and sent me walking unfinished..... They had me soak my nails in acetone for an hour when the acrylic was already off! I was literally brought to tears from the pain as I said "these are my real nails and nothing more will come off but my skin" to which they replied, we will not continue working on your nails, we are busy now, come back in 1.5 hours!! This is AFTER I was sat down and got started on and this new worker, working at this salon for 2 months, did this, WITH the owners approval!! My skin literally soaked off in that time, completely dried out, as the unprofessional worker did other clients' nails having me sit there in discomfort. These people are inhumane and there may be some good workers there, but what I experienced today, I would not wish upon anyone. read more

Aren't pedicures supposed to be relaxing? Yes... well not today. The nail tech who was working on my feet decided to use the nail buffer on the top of my feet to the point where it took skin off and Is still burning and stinging hours later. This has never happened. Not to mention, I wasn't asked what type of pedicure I wanted and was rushed so fast, I was in and out in 30 minutes with about a 10 minute wait time. To top it all off, the cuticle tool and file that were used on my feet weren't disinfected or thrown away, just got put back into the drawer. Disgusting. After reading lots of reviews I was nervous to come here. I haven't been back since my prom in 2018. Since I finished my finals, I wanted to treat myself with a pedicure and get acrylics for summer before I go back working in the hospital. The pedi felt absolutely amazing and they did a great job! My feet feel so smooth and the nail polish has stayed on for more than a week. As for the acrylics, the lady doing my nails (unfortunately I forgot to ask for her name but I would 100% recommend her) did an amazing job with the design I wanted and the shape was perfect. However, she did cut two of my cuticles back too far and now they are cracked open, but she applied the nail oil realizing her fault. Overall, clean place and will definitely go back for my fillings this summer. read more

I have had my nails done for less then a week and my nails look horrible !!!!!!!! I would give ZERO stars if I could. I paid 46$ to get my nails done and I expected a better job then what I got. They took me late for an appointment!!!!!!! Why make one then? Went in for dip nails. Not a lot of choices for color and the tech did not do a good job. Several nails have bumps in them and polish is on my cuticles. Been here before for gel nails and they've been fine. Do not go here if you are looking for the dip technique. $42.00 and very disappointed. read more

Absolutely love going here. They get you in quickly and are very efficient and friendly. I have never had a bad experience here.

I was disappointed by my manicure which didn't last 2 days. While still getting my nails painted one smudged, the manicurist, a gentleman, didn't start over but just added more paint and more top coat. After drying it started to buckle. I showed him and he just dismissed me saying he would add more top coat which I knew wouldn't work. I should have insisted but I left and the that nail just got worse and another nail which I also be overly applied smudged the next day. The overall nail job didn't last more than 2 days. It could have been the quality of the polish but I felt like it was mishandled. I was on my way out of town, I don't live there so I didn't have a chance to go back. My toes, which he did first were well done and two weeks later still looked great. I would just suggest being more assertive and be careful with quality of the polishes they offer. read more

The only person who can do nails well at this place is Amy. She's thorough, gentle & sweet. I made the mistake of not waiting to see her & I had the worst paint job & shaping I've ever had. Firstly the polish dries with little black specs in it, this has happened before & I have no idea why. All my nails were bumpy & thick & not thoroughly painted. My fill took almost 2 hours. I came in with almond shaped nails & had to ask for that shape on my own because she started making them round. Then someone else had to step in to shape them. One of my thumbs was much larger & crooked. I ended up calling & the customer service is horrible. The manager just says that you have to come back in to fix it. I believe I should be given store credit. Totally not worth $50. I can't back to fix it because the polish will still have the specs in it. Lily always does a great job on my nails and the prices are fair, I never have to wait that long

I used to love coming here but now that they dont take appointments and the last few times I have gotten the same person who hasnt done a very good job. And since they just assign you to a chair, you have no say who does your nails. I try to give a second chance as we all have bad days but this is the 3rd time I have gotten the same person and had same experience. I have square shaped nails and when doing my fill, she made one hand round shape (no idea why she did) and when I asked for square shaped to be put back on, my nails came out very weird shaped and uneven. She never got all the old polish off my nails and put new acrylic fill over old polish spots.I chose a lighter color polish this time and you can now see these spots through the polish. She was very sloppy on the polish and when I asked her to please clean up the polish off my skin, she used cuticle trimmers to trim her mistakes ratherthan a brush and acetone. Then the polish on the nails is uneven and not like a professional did them. For $37.50 for a fill and gel polish, I dont think I will be coming back anymore. read more

The salon is clean and adhering to Covid standards and they are requiring that everyone wear masks. Pedicure was good but there is clearly a communication issue here between the staff and the clients. I went in during my lunch hour for an express pedicure. I called and made an appointment and told them I wanted an express pedicure. When I arrived I said I was there for an express pedicure. The nail technician asked me if I also wanted a manicure and I told her no just the express pedicure since I had limited time. She then asked me if I wanted some sort of scrub for my legs for an additional $5 which I declined. When it came time to leave she tried to charge me the additional $5 and kept saying I asked you if want pedicure and was a little rude about it. All I know is that between speaking in a low tone and wearing a mask I could not hear everything she was saying. When a customer comes in and tells you what they want just leave it at that and skip the upsell that way there will no misunderstanding. Another salon I go to gives you a spa menu so you can point out the service you want to the nail technician. read more

I love this nail salon. It is walk in only, which I love, and they are speedy at getting the manicure started. All of the technicians I have had are friendly and talkative. Also, it is very clean. Very little dust, and I don't fear they are re using tools from other clients. No creepy windex bottles or questionable practices. The manicurists are meticulous and my manicures always look amazing. Prices are comparable to others in the area but I will continue to come here just for the good service and sanitary environment. read more
