I got a full set acrylic refill and gel here and they were good. A couple nails were filed crooked but I got the almond shape so it didn't show too much. Staff were nice (I got Aileen), customer service is good BUT they use cheap products w/ MMA. It has been about 3 weeks since and I'm removing my acrylics at home. What you would do is soak your nails in acetone and it should be easy to scrape off/come off. This spa uses MMA in their acrylic powder--I would recommend never coming here for an acrylic set or fill. MMA is a terrible chemical for your nails and it is illegal in a few states. You can tell they used MMA because right after you soak your nails in acetone and scrap the acrylic off, it's a gooey sticky mess. It has taken me 2 days to fully remove my acrylics with a combination of acetone soaking and filing. There is a post below from another customer saying that the nail did NOT soak their nails in acetone but instead used the drill and would yank the nail off with force. The reason being that MMA gets this result when soaked in acetone (see pic) Do research, do not go to a salon that has "cheaper" pricing. read more

When I moved back to LA, I mourned the loss of my go-to nail salon. It wasn't until this chance encounter that Redondo Nails & Spa was right next to some errands I was running that I had a chance to try out their services. First and foremost, it appears that they really are beloved by locals. The ladies of RB Nails are so nice and sweet. From just one phone call, they already recognized my voice when I walked in the door. I proceeded to watch them greet every incoming customer by a first name basis. This says a lot about their successful operation. Hannah worked on my mani pedi this time and she was fantastic. She was extremely thoughtful and meticulous. I had zero complaints with how she trimmed up my nails and cuticles, which is rare for this picky bitch! Not only was she good, she asked along the way to make sure I was satisfied. Another reason why they're awesome? They are speedy quick without compromising the quality of work. I got a full manicure and pedicure with all the stops and was in and out within an hour. I've been to places with fewer services and it would last me almost two hours. This is a miracle for a busy bee like me. Finally, I got a gel manicure, and lux pedicure, all for $42...WHAT?! The prices are insane! I'm talking full service everything for $42 (before tip)-- hot towel, hot lotion, massage, etc. They deserve to be promoted via shouting from the rooftops. Desperately needed to get my nails done after a year in quarantine-times and called this salon after an extensive search on Yelp. I was able to get an appointment right away and was greeted by Eileen at the door. Let me tell you--I've never had a more relaxed nail appointment in my life. Usually when I go to a nail tech I'm always prepared for some accidental pain, but Eileen was so nice and gentle during the entire process! I got a full acrylic set with gel and Eileen made sure to check in with me through the entire process (length, shape, and color). I was especially pleased with the fact that she painted one finger and made sure I liked the color and the way it looked before moving on to the rest. She also gave me some time to look over the finished set and asked if I had any changes in mind before proceeding to payment. A little note: prices have been raised a bit than what is previously pictured (but not by much). However, after this pandemic, I'm not mad about supporting this small business I paid $40 +tip for a full acrylic set & gel polish. They do accept venmo/card but prefer that you tip with cash. I try to be kind and give people/places the benefit of the doubt, but pretty disappointed and will not be back. Went in mainly for acrylic nail. The woman didn't soak my nails in acetone (or any type of softening/remover) before trying to chip and peel the acrylics off. She nicked my fingers a few times with the drill without apology or even just acknowledgement and one of the spots is even bloody. I ended up deciding to just get a clear regular polish because I didn't trust they could put gel on without additional damage to my nails. The clear polish they used is already lifting off my nails, not even an hour later. The shape she tried to do on my natural nails doesn't look great or consistent. (You can see this in my pictures). The 2 women who work here are so sweet. They speak English well which is nice and when they speak Vietnamese they aren't talking shit about their customers. I know this because I speak the language however they didn't know. The pedicure is sanitary because they put a liner in the spa tub which some places don't do. I never get my nails done. And I mean never. I decided to treat myself with a mani/pedi. Can you believe it only cost me $27+tip?!? Such a good deal. Everyone there is beyond nice. They really try to make you comfortable and satisfied. Hannah and Lucy were their names. So sweet. Slight language barrier though. I asked for a matte mauve on my nails and even showed a picture but they made it matte grey (Grey was the color of my toes). I didn't realize until one hand was already halfway done and I didn't have the heart to ask her to do it over. Still came out great. No complaints. They accept tip by card but prefer cash instead. I was a walk-in and they took me right away. On a summer Tuesday they had three nail techs, all Vietnamese, working. The oldest one proficiently did my pedicure. She was massaging my feet and calves and I said that was nice, and she offered a 5 min. massage for $5, so I said yes. Heavenly. When she finished, the youngest woman took her place to do my gel nails. Both women were very pleasant. If my gel nails don't last two weeks I'll be back to downgrade the review by a star, but so far--the nails look neatly manicured, no bleeding or ouchies, and the experience was thorough and pleasant. read more
