I went back for a second visit and it was the opposite. I had an appointment but it was rushed to accommodate walk ins. The entire process was rushed. The tech didn't fully remove my prior manicure, just filed it down a little then painted over it. My nails were cut to uneven lengths and then filed crooked. I asked to fix it a few times before I gave up. The nail polish was applied unevenly and the tech didn't wait for the full uv cycle to finish before going to the next coat. The tech also painted far from the cuticle so it looks like I already have a week of grow out not that it's a fresh manicure. No surprise, it started peeling off two days later.

There has been a sad lack of customer service from Long and Wendy this past year, so I can't…read morerecommend anymore. The salon is no longer constantly busy, so I'm guessing I'm not the only patron they've treated poorly. The renovation? It's really, really bright inside now. The new pedicure chairs are flawed -- the frame isn't comfortable, and to make it worse they no longer massage -- just make a grinding noise. Finally, the pop music they play constantly is too loud, repetitive and annoying. Long, Wendy: you manage a nail salon that specializes in acrylics, dips and gels. Your customers can trip over similar salons anytime they pass a strip mall. You need to treat your long time customers with enthusiasm and gratitude, or you'll continue to lose them.

The next day I received a reminder text , to which I responded. Thank you I will see you tomorrow. When I got to Divine Nail Bar , I told them I had an 3:00 appointment with Mary. They told me Mary doesn't work today. I stoped got out my phone , showed them the text confirmation. They then called Mary, put her on the phone with me. She said she wasn't feeling well and someone else could t take care of me. I went there personally to schedule appt. The staff that was there did not know what to do...it would have been nice a common courtesy to text me if she was really ill and had to give me an opportunity to change an appointment. Very poor way to run a business.. very poor experience!

The first couple of visits were OK but there was always a communication challenge on the phone getting it booked. The last couple of times, I just walked in and it was better. Mainly because I went during the week day and late morning when it wasn't took busy. I called ahead, made an appoint with a previous tech and showed up for my appointment on time as scheduled. It was on a Friday, late morning and that was a mistake. It was half-full and when I waled in, the smell of the acrylic hit me like a wave of toxicity. From across the room, one of the many masked techs, said 'sign in'. That was the first time in all previous visits I was asked to do that. There was an appointment book lying there so I was looking for my name under the time slot. Again, a masked person across the room, yells, the computer, the computer. I entered my info on the computer and waited for about 10 minutes. No one walked to the reception desk to speak to me. I walked out, I had to get some air to breathe. It was simply overwhelming and it was such a bad experience, I will not be returning. Maybe if I spoke Vietnamese or wore and oxygen mask it might be different. But hey, they are just too many other good options in the growing town of Fort Mill.
